Chapter 1: Into the Unknown
In a deserted wasteland like world, where what little remained of humanity had been reverted to slaves under the tyrannical rule of a certain shape-shifting warlord,a battle of epic proportions had just concluded.
With the more righteous out of the two combatants standing as the victor.
"Ugghh" Groaned Mad Ben as he knelt on both knees while rubbing his ear.
A loud beeping sound could be heard from his side, signalling that the one who soundly defeated him had reverted back to his human form.
The Ben Tennyson from the Prime timeline
"You cheated." Said Mad Ben bitterly.
"There are rules to this?" Asked Ben as he stretched out his hands with an amused smirk.
As he rose to his feet, his subordinate,Mad Rook,rushed to his side.
"What are you just standing there for?! It's time to end the madness!" Snapped Mad Ben to his lackey.
"I couldn't agree with you more." Said Mad Rook as he held Mad Ben's outstretched left hand before placing a metal coupling around his Omnitrix.
"Guh!" Grunted Mad Ben as he attempted to remove the coupling but to no avail.
"Remove this thing, immediately!" Ordered Mad Ben, only to be with silence from Mad Rook.
"What do you think you're doing?!" Asked Mad Ben.
"Precisely what you asked of me." Said Mad Rook compliantly as he watched Mad Ben struggle with the coupling.
"I'm putting an end to this madness." Said Rook, his tone now bearing more conviction and resolve.
"You're not fit to rule this world. Without your Power Watch, you're nothing more than a petty little thug."
"Little?! Little?!" Asked Mad Ben, greatly infuriated.
"It's time that the people were allowed to fend for themselves. And time for you to pay for what you've done to them." Said Rook as he slung his blaster over his shoulder, with the workers rallying behind him.
Two of them would walk towards Mad Ben from both sides, and bind his biceps with metal chains.
"This ain't over! I'll be back to make you suffer...Every one of you! You haven't heard the last of me!" Declared Mad Ben as he was being dragged away.
"If there's any justice in the universe,we have." Said Mad Rook boldly.
With a content smile on his face,Ben placed his hands in his pockets and watched the scene unfold. Within a few fleeting seconds,Ben 23 would walk up to him and stand by his side.
"Okay,so now what's keeping us here?" Asked Ben 23.
"Actually, nothing." Admitted Ben as he looked at his younger self from an alternate reality.
"Then let's eject. You take Techno Bubble, I'll take Windey Hindey." Suggested Ben 23,to which Ben would nod in approval.
Both of them would activate their Omnitricies and slam down the core. But to their surprise,the blue and green flash of light respectively wouldn't engulf them,as they would instead be met with a monotonous beeping sound from their respective devices.
"Why didn't we change?" Asked a suprised Ben as he held up his left hand to observe his Omnitrix, with the core repeatedly flashing green.
"And what's with the beeping?" Asked Ben 23.
Amidst their confusion,a sinister laugh could be heard from behind them, causing their attention to be drawn to the one responsible for their plight.
Dr Psychobos.
"By attempting to dial up those particular aliens,you activated a little failsafe I installed." Explained Psychobos as he walked forward until he was at the edge of the cliff where he stood,of which was positioned high above the two teens.
"Psychobos!" Shouted Ben.
"You Nozzle!" Shouted Ben 23.
"Any second,your Omnitricies will overload and explode, putting you both out of my misery forever." Said Psychobos with a pleased tone.
"Then you'll be stuck here,too." Countered Ben as he pointed at Psychobos.
"With this planet's ample supply of slave labor,soon I will construct a proper dimensional portal." Explained Psychobos.
"But who knows?If they treat me well enough, maybe I'll just stick around" Said an amused Psychobos.
"You haven't won yet, Psychobos!" Said Ben defiantly before he and Ben 23 proceeded to activate their Omnitricies once more. Only this time,dialing up a new transformation.
Grey Matter/ Brain Frog.
"If anyone can thwart your plan,it would be Grey Matter!" Said Grey Matter as he crossed his hands with a smirk.
"You mean Brain Frog of course, but you're totally right." Said Brain Frog in agreement before walking towards Grey Matter,who had turned in order to expose his Omnitrix to him.
Upon tapping Grey Matter's Omnitrix faceplate,he would watch as the faceplate opened from all four sides, exposing the innermost workings of the device.
"We need to bypass this circuit here..." Explained Brain Frog as he began to do just that, much to Pyschobos' concern.
"Rewire this coupling here, and..." Explained Grey Matter as he did the same thing with Brain Frog's Omnitrix. Upon doing so,a brilliant flash of blue and green would envelop both of them, restoring them to their human forms.
"Everything is back to normal again." Said Ben 23 as he and Ben looked at Psychobos with a smirk.
"Ugh! Ugh! I can't even conquer a wasteland anymore! Where did I go wrong?" Said a distraught Psychobos.
And so,a chained Psychobos was guided to the small shed like building by the workers where Mad Ben,Mad Pakmar and his enforcers sat in front of it detained.
"There's room in Warlord Tennyson's cell for you too." Said Mad Rook with a hint of smugness due to his small smile.
"Nice job." Mad Rook turned back to see that the one who praised him was none other than Ben. Upon being noticed, both he and Ben 23 would walk forward slightly in order to better address Mad Rook.
"You know,as these people start to fend for themselves, you're gonna be one of the major, uh, fenders." Said Ben.
"Come again?" Asked a confused Mad Rook.
"Trust me.. you're a natural born peacekeeper. But if you want to sound more like an authority, I'd probably drop the contractions." Advised Ben with a genuine smile.
"Thanks. I'll... uh, i will consider that." Said Mad Rook with a smile of his own.
"We're out?" Asked Ben 23 as he looked at Ben with his hands crossed. Ben,who had initially placed his hands on his waist, held up his left hand with a smile on his face, causing Ben 23 to do the same with a smile as well.
Activating their Omnitricies once more, Both Ben's would slam down the dials, causing the brilliant flashes of green and blue respectively to engulf them as they assumed their new transformations.
Clockwork and Techno Bubble.
"We just combine our powers and do it like Maltruant." Suggested Techno Bubble as he stretched out his hand for a handshake,of which Clockwork accepted.
Upon doing so,Techno Bubble would begin to merge with Clockwork, turning his gold color scheme to a black and blue color scheme, the blue parts being the ones that were originally black. His key on his head also grew significantly bigger as well.
"Get ready...Get set..." Began Upgraded Clockwork as his key began to spin rapidly. A large surge of green energy would surround him before shooting up to the sky, echoing with a loud boom across the area.
A large crater had formed where Upgraded Clockwork, and with steam coming out of it in spades. Inside the crater was Ben 23, reverted back to his human form, and sat on the ground as he rubbed his head with a groan.
Upon regaining his bearings, Ben 23's eyes would widen as he noticed that his companion was nowhere to be seen.
"Ben?"
Somewhere far in the distance of the Sakura Cosmos, aboard the Skull Fairy was Shiki, Rebecca, Happy, Pino and Weiyz,held captive by the ship's captives.
Their escape attempt had caused them to engage with the ship's inhabitants; with Rebecca, Happy, Pino and Weiyz at battle with zombified humans with tentacle like appendages at the lower deck of the ship.
And Shiki at the main deck,in battle with the captain herself.
Elsie Crimson.
And just like her subordinates, she too possessed tentacle like appendages as arms, but along with a unique skull like face.
With his Ether Gear activated,Shiki would land a straight punch across Elsie's face, sending her briefly flying into the air before skidding across the ground.
A smoke cloud would form as she came to a halt and rose to her feet.
"Even the Demon King,who rules over the Sakura Cosmos wasn't able to reach Mother." Said Elsie.
"Grandpa was looking for Mother too?" Asked a suprised Shiki, before grinning broadly.
Inside another ship far away,one amongst a fleet of many were key individuals of a group called the "Cosmic Government Interstellar Union Army".
Though they were unable to watch the battle between Shiki and Elsie, they were reading their Ether levels, and the sudden spike in Shiki's Ether levels shocked them greatly
"The unknown Ether reading is still increasing! It'll soon reach 100,000!" Announced a dumbfounded Creed.
"100,000!" Repeated Victory in disbelief.
"This guy..." Said Justice in a low tone.
"She's a legendary Goddess who all spacefarers dream of seeing even just once." Began Elsie as she would land an attack from her tentacles arms that would be blocked by Shiki.
"But none have ever reached her." A high rising attack would be dodged by Shiki floating upside down.
Shiki, positioned upside down from Elsie's perspective would perch on the ceiling above her, his Ether overflowing with such intensity that it ended up destroying his shoes and boots.
"I already told you that we'll go!" Shouted Shiki defiantly, suprising Elsie due to the growing surge of his Ether.
"I can't believe it,even Grandpa had something that he couldn't do!" The whiter parts of Shiki's eyes would become completely black, with his pupils becoming green, and above his head,a green hieroglyphic like marking of two horns would appear.
"Wha-What's this abnormal gravity field?" Asked a shocked Victory as he looked at the readings on his holographic projection.
"Identification code...It can't be..." Said an equally shocked Creed as he did the same.
A stern expression would form on Justice's face as a result.
"The Demon King!"
Shiki would then jump off the ceiling towards Elsie, his right hand reeled back for a punch.
But before it could connect, a large green portal would suddenly emerge between the two of them, it's light spreading across the entire room.
Stunned by this new development,Shiki would land on the ground,now standing a few feet away from Elsie as both of them watched this new phenomenon unfold.
"What's going on?! An unidentified life-form has caused a sudden spike on our Ether readings. It's going out of control!" Shouted a panicking Creed as both he and Victory's holographic projections had changed from blue to red.
"What could be causing this?" Muttered Justice with his hands clasped together.
"What is that?" Asked a stunned Shiki.
As if responding to his question, the portal would expand in size and begin to swirl violently.
"Gahhh!" Grunted both Shiki and Elsie before covering their eyes due to the blinding rays of light from the portal. Upon opening his eyes slightly, Shiki's eyes would then widen completely as a being fell out from the portal, and landed on the ground with a heavy thud, shaking the ship in the process.
Standing in front of both a jaw dropped Shiki and a speechless Elsie was none other than Ben in his Vaxasaurian form; Humongousaur.
Words would fail Shiki as he constantly stuttered due to struggling to process the being that stood before him. Whereas Elsie, who was just as stunned previously,had now visibly tensed up as she was wary of what Humongousaur's actions would entail.
'Hmm. I was going for Big Chill, but considering the circumstances, Humongousaur might not be so bad afterall.' Thought the transformed teen as he glanced at Elsie, before staring at Shiki.
'Question is, where exactly am I?' Humongousaur would maintain his gaze on Shiki, unnerving the teen even more as he clenched his fists instinctively.
"Hey the..." A large tentacle shooting towards Humongousaur from his blind spot would cause the Vaxasaurian to cut himself off before grabbing the appendage with his left hand, shocking Elsie and Shiki in the process.
"Nice try, but you're gonna have to do better than that." Said Humongousaur with a grin before effortlessly dragging Elsie towards him, and then grabbing her by the face with his right hand, and slamming her into the ground.
"For good measure." Said Humongousaur as he reeled back his right fist and punched Elsie with enough force to send her crashing through the ground, and then through at least five lower floors of the ship, causing a gaping hole through all of them in the process.
"Whoops. Guess I overdid it a little." Said Humongousaur with a sheepish smile.
'He's strong!' Thought a jaw-dropped Shiki.
"Then again,she looked pretty tough,so it shouldn't be too bad." Shrugged Humongousaur with a grin.
"Plus,if she's a bad guy, it's better if she's down for the count." Humongousaur then looked at a still stunned Shiki.
"She is the bad guy, right?" Asked Humongousaur, hoping that he didn't just hit the wrong person.
"Uh...Uh huh." Shiki managed to say with a nod.
"Phew." Sighed Humongousaur with relief. Upon looking at the floor once more, Humongousaur's eyes would widen in surprise.
"Huh?" Said Humongousaur as the floor in which he punched Elise through had completely restored itself to it's state prior to that.
"Looks like this thing can auto-repair itself." Mused Humongousaur.
"Speaking of thing..." Humongousaur would then look back at Shiki.
"Where exactly are we?" Asked Humongousaur.
"Huh?Um...well... we're on a spaceship called the Skull Fairy..."
"Space Ship?" Said a shocked Humongousaur, cutting off Shiki.
"We're in space?!" To confirm it for himself, Humongousaur would look through the window of the ship and was indeed met with the sight that was the darkness of space, illuminated by several stars and planets.
"This is not what I was expecting." Shiki could only watch on in confusion as he was unaware of Humongousaur's predicament.
'I was hoping to end up somewhere in Bellwood,or somewhere on Earth at least when i returned back to my dimension. But space?' Thought a heavily perplexed Humongousaur.
'And not to mention... what he said just now...'
"You called this ship the Skull Fairy. Gotta say I've never heard of something like that until now." Said Humongousaur.
"You haven't?" Said a suprised Shiki.
"Nope. Quite frankly, there's a lot of things about what's going on that I don't know yet. For starters, who's the one calling the shots around here?" Asked Humongousaur.
"She was the captain." Said Shiki, referring to Elsie.
"Oh." Said Humongousaur in realization.
"Can't imagine she would have been much help then." Said Humongousaur with his hands crossed, causing a small smile to form on Shiki's face.
"So she was the big bad? And with big bads come goons." Mused Humongousaur.
"Uh... right." Replied Shiki with mild uncertainty.
"So who were hers?" Asked Humongousaur.
"I don't know their names either, but her's is Elsie Crimson. She's a Space Pirate." Explained Shiki.
"A Space Pirate huh?" Asked Humongousaur.
"Yeah. She brought my friends and I to her ship. Said she wants to plunder our ship and sell us off to a Planet called Guilst. So I thought that I'd come here to stop her and plunder her ship instead." Chuckled Shiki as he rubbed the back of his hair while grinning. Humongousaur however wouldn't respond,as he was deep in thought.
'I've never heard of any space pirate called Elsie Crimson,or a planet called Guilst. Heck, I've never been on a ship like this one either.' Thought Humongousaur with narrowed eyes.
'Which can only mean one thing. I didn't return back to my dimension, but ended up in another one altogether.' Shiki would look at Humongousaur with worry upon noticing a glimmer of sadness in his eyes.
'Get it together Tennyson,one thing at a time. Let's try to make sense of what's going first.' Thought Humongousaur as he attempted to regain his composure.
'I ended up on a pirate ship, and took care of the one in charge.' Thought Humongousaur as he recounted his brief battle with Elsie.
'And since I'm not the only one who didn't end up here of their own will, maybe we can help each other. It'd be nice to have someone to help make sense of this new dimension while I work on returning to mine.' Humongousaur's eyes glimmered with a mixture of hope and curiosity as he looked at Shiki.
'It's worth a shot.'
"Are you alright?" Asked Shiki.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just considering my options is all." Said Humongousaur.
"Huh?" Said Shiki, confused by what he meant.
"You left your friends to come and face Elsie right?" Asked Humongousaur,to which Shiki nodded slowly.
"How about we go and check up on them? Make sure they're ok." Shiki's eyes would briefly widen in shock before gleaming with joy, with him smiling broadly as well.
"Let's get a move on then." Said Humongousaur with a smile of his own.
"Right!" Said Shiki compliantly before running towards the door. He would then run towards the door.
"Huh?" Said Humongousaur, confused as Shiki came to a sudden stop. Shiki then walked towards Humongousaur, before standing in front of him.
"I'm Shiki. Shiki Granbell!" Shouted Shiki jovially.
'Right. I didn't even catch his name.' Thought Humongousaur as he mentally face palmed himself due to embarrassment.
"My name's Ben. But right now, you can call me Humongousaur." Said Humongousaur.
"Right now?" Asked a confused Shiki..
"You'll get it in a moment." Said Humongousaur vaguely with a grin.
"If you say so." Shrugged Shiki. He would however end up confusing the Vaxasaurian even further by stretching out his hand.
"Will you be my friend?" Pleaded Shiki as he offered Humongousaur a handshake.
"A bit too soon to ask that, considering we just met, don't you think?" Commented Humongousaur. Upon noticing Shiki's expression deflate,he winced in regret.
"But...I guess it couldn't hurt." Said Humongousaur with reluctance hidden due to his smile.
"You will?" Asked Shiki, suddenly beaming.
"Sure. Why not?" Said Humongousaur with a chuckle, his doubts now cleared as he accepted Shiki's handshake.
"Woohoo!" Shouted Shiki triumphantly with starry eyes.
"To think he'd be so excited by me accepting to be his friend." Said Humongousaur with a tone of amusement.
"Shiki right?" Shiki would stop rejoicing upon hearing his name, turning back to look at his new friend.
"How about we save the victory dance for after we get to your friends?" Suggested Humongousaur with a smile.
"Right." Nodded Shiki in agreement.
"We'll have to run though, since it's a long way down." Said Shiki.
"That won't be necessary." Said Humongousaur with a chuckle.
"Huh?" Humongousaur would choose not to go for a verbal response, instead tapping the Omnitrix dial on his chest, causing the brilliant flash of green light that would engulf to leave Shiki even more confused.
Once the light died down, standing in the place of Humongousaur was a humanoid moth like alien.
"Shiki,meet... Big Chill." Said the Necrofriggian in a low voice that could cause anyone's blood to run cold.
"How...How did you..." Stuttered Shiki due to being completely dumbfounded by the being that stood before him.
"It's a bit of a long story,so let's save it for when we get there." Advised Big Chill before unfolding his wings, shocking Shiki even more, evident by him not immediately responding to Big Chill walking behind him and wrapping his hands under Shiki's armpits.
"Now hold on tight. You might be a little weirded out at first, but it won't take long." Shiki's immediate confusion by Big Chill's words would change into an expression of shock and awe as both he and Big Chill became a hazy blue silhouette.
"Woahhhh!" Shouted Shiki as Big Chill flew up and then dived down to the ground, phasing through the floors in the process.

I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting to do this story,at least not this soon. But upon hearing that MiniTennyson had fully discontinued his story,i decided to see if I'd be interested in actually remaking the story by watching more of the Edens Zero anime.
To which i will say i was pleasantly surprised to end up wanting to do just that. MiniTennyson's support especially played a key part in making this happen, and i am truly thankful for that.
Writing this first chapter was a lot of fun as well,to which i hope you enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it,if not more.
For those wondering where this takes place in the timeline of both series respectively;
Ben 10: During the 10th episode of Omniverse, Season 7, titled "It's a Mad...Ben World Part 2."
Edens Zero: During the 7th episode of Season 1, titled "Warship of the Demon King."
I'm sure that reading this story may have surprised some of you by how different it is from the original. That is deliberate as i have my own vision for the story that although may contrast with MiniTennyson's original story,the overall story itself will still be done in the same spirit as it.
Which is part of the reason why the story is named "Edens Ten Volume II" and not "Edens Ten Remake."
That, and admittedly, MiniTennyson and i thought it would both sound cool and serve as a nod to Ultimate10's and pyrohelixdrago's "Ultimate Fairy" of which I'm sure you don't mind.
Another key thing to note about this story is that no voting poll for ships will be had,as i will either have Rebecca or Homura be the main love interest. The only reason why i haven't picked any of them yet is due to not being completely well versed in Edens Zero yet, the anime at the very least.
Once I am,or once i feel i know enough,i will announce which of the two I've chosen as the one to be paired with Ben.
I have some exciting ideas in store as well that though I don't wish to spoil what they are exactly, I'll say this much; some of them involve Ben 23 and Maltruant. I hope I'm able to make them a reality, and that you all will be satisfied with the outcome.
I will be closely working with MiniTennyson throughout this story's run,as he's currently more well versed in Edens Zero than i am.
I can't say for certain how often new chapters will drop, but hopefully not too long.
