Chapter 5

Matt!" Abby yelled as Matt woke up, it had been just over a week since the predator attack and Matt had barely just lived.

"Emily?" Matt whispered

"I am sorry, she's dead" Abby began to cry, she was so sorry for Matt, he really did love her.

"Why are you here?" Matt asked

"I had to have somewhere to go, I can't be with Connor because I will hurt Stephen and vice versa" Abby explained, "Matt, what am I going to do?"

"Go with what your heart wants"

"My heart wants Connor but a part of it wants Stephen as I used to have a crush on him"

"You used to, but do you still now?"

"No,"

"Then Connor it is" Matt sighed

"But I will break Stephen's heart" Abby began to cry harder

"Abby, close your eyes"

"Why"

"Trust me"

"Ok" Abby closed her eyes

"now, picture Connor and Stephen in separate rooms" Matt explained as Abby nodded " now there is a future predator with each of them" Abby gasped opening her eyes, Matt touched her arm to calm her down, "trust me" Matt whispered again. Abby nodded and closed her eyes again.

"Now there are two buttons, you can only save one, you push the button and the other gets ripped to shreds. Who would you choose?"

"I... I... I... Don't know" Abby cried.

"Don't worry this won't happen, it will just help with your decision"

"Ok," Abby thought for a moment, imagining the situation and she pushed a button before opening her eyes.

"Thank you Matt" Abby half smiled before getting up and walking out

"Happy to help" but the truth was Matt wasn't happy, he had no reason to be here. He loved Emily and wanted to be with her... He closed his eyes and remembered her smile, how he loved her smile. When he opened his eyes, he saw her, he saw Emily, and she smiled at him.

"Welcome back Mr. Anderson" she said, she had a very familiar voice

"Emily?" Matt stated at her

"no my name is Ruth, I have been looking after you for the past week" Matt swore he saw her wink "but I have a lot of explaining to do, I understand that you are in a different 'dimension', I will try not to confuse you. See you later"

"Thank you," Matt smiled, he still knew in some way that was Emily, she just didn't know who she was.

Abby had decided, she began to walk towards his lab, she had chosen him...
