Arthur walked in the quiet field, thinking back the times he once had that was filled with people he deemed important. The once long gone companionships.

As much as he would like to deny it, he ended spending his life alone in an empty manor. The emptiness that welcomed him every time he had sent home. The four walls that enclosed onto him whenever he was happy or sad.

And right now, he was spending Christmas alone in this field, void of people as usual. He could see the faraway town's colourful lights, the merry noise of the people, the red, green and white decorations everywhere.

Perhaps just a little while he would just close his eyes and wished someone was here with him. All the other nations had someone to spend the night and no one would notice that poor old England was alone.

"Mon lapin, why are you alone?"

He must be dreaming to have heard Francis' voice. He opened his eyes and hovering above him was the Frenchman. His goofy smile was still there and Arthur jerked up from his sleeping position, afraid that their positions might encourage the other man to make a move.

"W-What are you doing?"

"Silly lapin, of course I'm here to celebrate Christmas with you!" With that, Francis handed him a box wrapped in red.

Arthur eyed him suspiciously before accepting it. He shook the box near his ear childishly. There was no noise heard from inside that he could hear.

"Please don't tell me you had given me one of your 'toys'."

"Oh please, so I look like I do that?" Francis nervously laughed it off.

"...Thanks." Arthur softly muttered, grateful that Francis had actually came to accompany him for Christmas.

Suddenly remembering the one time they used to freak out when they thought world was going to end, Arthur chuckled, earning a questioning look from Francis.

"It seems that we have survived yet another world's end, frog."

Francis laughed at that too and he spotted a silhouette nearby. It was fidgeting nervously and his hands had also carried a red present.

"Papa, D-Daddy." The gentle-natured nation called out, obviously not used to calling Arthur a father, but calling Francis that was a usual routine.

"A- Matthew!" Arthur called back in surprise, changing his word in the last minute.

"Merry Christmas!" Matthew meekly handed the present to him. Matthew and Francis had already gave each other their presents, and planned to show up and surprise Arthur.

Arthur smiled as he received another present, glad that his ex-colony had showed up. He muttered another quiet thanks and Francis teased him about it.

'If only...'

"Hey Artie! Merry Christmas!" A loud, energetic voice sounded behind Arthur. He widen his eyes and quickly spun around to face the bespectacled American.

"Alfred!"

"Dude, sorry about your present, left in a hurry and forgot it on the table!" Arthur shook his head and beamed at him.

"You are my present for today."

Alfred laughed and his happy seemed to be contagious as Matthew and Francis laughed too. They surrounded Arthur as Alfred gave a bear hug to the group.

"Merry Christmas, Arthur, my brother forever."
