A Really Long, Apologetic Author's Note

Well hello there everybody, bet you thought you'd never hear from me again, huh? I guess I owe all of you a tiny bit of an explanation as to why this story has been dead for a year now. I wrote the entirety of this story on my laptop, which was also my only way of writing stories. After I posted the last chapter, it fell off of a table while it was charging and landed on the charger. This caused the charging port to be shoved into the computer, rendering it unchargeable. I had planned on getting a new laptop anyways, seeing as how it was a few years old and it was not exactly up to par with current standards, but my parents didn't want me to buy one because I was going to be receiving one for free at college this year. Thus, I had no way of continuing my story. Now that I am at school, however, I have once again been getting the urge to read more fanfics again, and with this has come the urge to write again as well.

Now, since it's been so long I have lost touch with what I have been trying to do with my story; I still know the general plot, but the depth I wanted to take it has been lost in my head somewhere. This doesn't mean that I want it to go away, however. Instead, I will be rereading my own story (sounds odd, I know,) and after that I will try to reconstruct the remainder of it in my head as best I can. Once I feel comfortable with what I want to try and do, then I will continue my story. Until then, I guess I just need to ask you guys to wait some more, if the original readers of this story are even here anymore. I definitely owe all of you an apology, but there was nothing that I could really do. Sorry it's been so long since you've heard from me, but I hope that you'll be able to hear from me again soon!

Yours Truly,

-HRR

P.S. I plan on replacing this long author's note with an actual chapter when I write it, so to those following the story I'm not really sure how the update system handles that.

P.P.S. I haven't forgotten about that little review contest that I had before I went AWOL; If/when I continue this story I plan on honoring the promise I made.
