Over the next few days Elwood was a war zone. Battle lines had been drawn splitting the town in two; everything east of the sugar bowl belonged to the locos, and everything west was the customers.

Today lil j was out to enforce this law when he and his homies rolled by the school. One of Arthur's crew got his attention,"What good tech-9?" he asked. "A lil J look at that there." when he looked over he was surprised to rattles from Binky's crew.

"So Binky main man thinks he wander out his turf does he?" lil j pulled out his switch blade. "Let's roll this fool up." rattles eyes got big when he saw the car that was coming at him. He tried to run but his escape route was cut off by the car.

Lil j and his gang jumped out quick as a flash and jumped rattles beating him to a pulp. Lil j punched him in the nose, then one of the locos gave him a right cross causing rattles to hit the ground and they all started stomping on him. J took his blade and stabbed him seven times then popped the trunk and tossed him in.

Over on the westside Binky was playing cards with Molly. "Eh, where rattles at with the beers," Binky asked looking up from his cards."he should've been here by now." Binky got up and walked over to the front door. "Let me look out and see if I see him."

When he opened it his foot hit something. When he looked down he saw rattles all stabbed up and bleeding. "Oh shi-, Molly get the car we gotta go now." Molly grabbed the keys and Binky picked up rattles.

The news of what happened made the front page of the papers. truthfully Arthur was happy about this, he wanted people to know a bout them. The more people knew about them the more they would fear them. Fear is a gangs greatest weapon, it's how they kept power.

When the cops came around the locos would just start L-stepping ( their version of the C-walk),the cops couldn't drive away fast enough. This add fire to the war between the two gangs, a war Binky was losing.

Two weeks after he got rattles Arthur was posted on the corner selling his "stuff". One of his clients came up to him twitching and shaking. "Eh, Lil j let me get a dime man I got you right here." He held up a hand full of money. "Alright base head," Arthur took the money and reached in his pocket." here now get out my face quick."

He looked around for the cops but saw something else. Molly from the customers out driving all by herself. when she pulled up at the light lil j pulled his bandana up and made his move. He moved through traffic and got behind her car.

His heater was drawn and ready as he rose up and took aim. Molly was putting out her cigarette when she looked up and saw Arthur in the mirror. The shots rang out shredding the glass, Molly gritted her teeth as a round hit her ear.

she moved as fast as she could to avoid the shots, opening the door and jumping out moving her feet to find cover. When she found herself behind a parked car she pulled her nine and shot back at the aardvark, who was taking cover himself.

Molly made a move to escape only to be followed by lil j, who was putting in a new magazine. She ducked into an ally way but j had her in his sights, his finger on the trigger. Before he could pull he was interrupted by a cop.

"Freeze drop the gun scum bag or I'll drop you." Without missing a beat he turned on the cop and fired dropping the cop. Arthur looked around Molly was gone and he could hear sirens so he ran to Molly's car, hopped in and drove off.

Thanks to his bandana no one saw Arthur's face but he still need to lay low. Big j was out the hospital and had room for him at his place, it was for the best to keep Arthur's family safe. He quickly packed what he needed and headed down stairs as fast as he could.

"Arthur wait could you come in here a minute." his dad called from the living room door way. With a heavy sigh he followed his father into the room. When he entered the room he saw his family and friends gathered together.

"Arthur we're all here because we're worried about you and the path you're going down." His dad spoke up as buster rose. "Yeah, Arthur we know it was you shooting at Molly yesterday you have to stop this before someone gets killed."

Arthur looked around then breathed in and spoke. "y'all worried about me huh, than tell Buster, where the fuck were you when Binky was beatin my ass huh." "Arthur I..." Buster began but was cut off. "Nowhere, you weren't there when rattles cut my face, when Molly broke my leg, or when Binky broke my jaw." Arthur picked up his bag and shook his head. "If you were really worried you would have done something before now, because now I got a new family and we taking care of this problem our way."
