I stood in front my closet trying to figure what to wear, I wanted to go for a bold but fashionable. I'm on my three outfit. Which was a short black skater skirt and blue sleeveless high blouse and black gladiator sandals. It looked good, so I decided to wear it. I looked my watch to see it was nearly time to go. I quickly headed downstairs to see Dad was cooking on the stove.

"Morning dear." Dad said.

"Hi Dad," I said back. "How do I look?"

"You look great dear," Dad said. "You remember what Grandmother said to you dress to impress."

"Of course." I said back. I quickly headed downstairs to see Dad was cooking on the stove.

"I've made your favorite banana pancakes." Dad said.

"Thanks Dad." I said back.

Time lapse

The bell rang meaning it was time for lunch I was happy that Dad had packed me a lunch the only problem was where I would sit to eat, and I need to make people see me and realized that Sarafina Hertz was back. I followed the rest of the students to the café, I held my chin up as I walked in… and nothing happened I didn't turn any heads.

"What the hades?" I thought to Myself. "I'm Sarafina Hertz."

I walked into someone and went too crashed into the ground but thankfully, I was save I look to see who was my savior I knew those dark brown eyes anywhere.

"Tyler?" I asked.

"Sara?" He asked back.

He had gotten more muscular and was wearing a leather jacket I mean he was in a completely dark color outfit.

"Hey yeah that me," I said. "You're grown."

"I could say the same with you." Tyler said.

"Thanks." I said back.

"You're quite welcome," Tyler said. "I see that New York as done you some good, why don't sit with us."

"Thanks." I said following Tyler to a table with three girls and two guys.

"About time Tyler," The blonde said turning to see us. "Sara?"

I knew that voice anywhere.

"Care?" I asked.

She had gone more pretty her hair was longer but still had through blue-green eyes that now held happiness and kindness. She was in a pale green t-shirts with black skinny jeans and boots. I was suddenly in a tight hug.

"I can't believe your back," She said. "I wish I knew that you were coming home I could have a party ready."

"It's good to see you too Care," I said back. "It was a split decision to come home."

"I mean I couldn't tell them hey I was in a war to protect everyone." I thought.

"Still we need to plan something." She said.

"Caroline let go," I heard Elena say. "I think she needs air."

Time lapse

The bell finally ran meaning the end of the day, I was happy that I saw the old friends again, and knowing Care there was going to be a giant welcome home party for your truly. Dad was waiting in his car.

"So how was your first day?" He asked.

"Fine." I said back as Dad started to drive home.

"That's good," Dad said. "I'm going to make your favorite dinner when we get home."

"Thanks Dad." I said as we pulled up to the house.

Dad froze.

"Sara go inside and stay there till I come inside understand." Dad said.

"Dad?" I asked.

"Don't argue with me Sarafina go now." Dad ordered.

"Okay Dad." I said quickly grabbing my bag and ran inside, shut and lock the door.

I ran upstairs and locked myself in; I could tell by the tone in Dad voice he was worried, which was never a good thing. I gripped my dagger tightly ready to protect myself. The fact that it was dead quiet did not help me at all. What felt like a century I heard footsteps heading towards me.

"Sara its dad it's okay to come out." I heard Dad said.

I let that breath I was holding in, out I stood up and open the door to see Dad. I quickly hug him.

"What was going on?" I asked.

"It's nothing you needed to worry about." Dad said back hugging me tighter.

"Are you sure?" I asked again.

"Yes sweetie," Dad said. "Now let get you some shrimp dinner ready."

"Sure." I said letting him go.

"Come down in ten minutes okay." Dad said.

"Sure." I said back.

As Dad left, I knew something was going on and something big. I wanted no needed to find out. I listen and heard dad was in the kitchen, I slipped out of my room and headed towards Dad's study. I kept one ear listing for him while I slipped in; the office was still the same dark wood pillar walls and light oak furniture. I started to feel for a draws but I could not feel anything, I pulled a draw open to see some paper, which was letters of something, could not really figure out.

"Dinner!" I heard Dad yelled.

I quickly shut the draw and ran downstairs.

"I'm here," I said coming into the kitchen. "It smells really good."

"Well sit down and eat." Dad said placing a bowl on the table.

"Thanks Dad." I said looking at the shrimp and rice.

Dad put his own bowl on the table and sat down across from me.

"Well enjoy." Dad said digging in.

I needed to find out what Dad was freaking out about.
