April awoke to a dull throb in her head. She tried to get up but couldn't due to the confined space she was in. She looked around and she saw that she was in what looked like a car boot. Then she remembered what happened… Researching for her project… Coming out of the museum…. About to get Chinese takeout with her Jaxon and Hunter… Wait! Jaxon and Hunter! Where were they?

"Jaxon, Hunter!" April yelled in a whisper.

"Jeez turn it down a notch will ya?" Jaxon said, at her rolling his eyes.

"Jax!" she exclaimed with tears in her eyes and proceeded to hug the life out of him. Well, as much as she could in the confined space of a car booth. Jax looked down at the crying girl in front of him tenderly and wrapped his big arms around her pulling her into his body. "Shh…. It's alright, we'll be fine," he cooed to her. If he any of his friends caught him doing this his social life would be over but with April, everything was different.

"Well thanks for worrying about me too guys! If Jaxon and April are okay the world's okay!" said Hunter indignantly coming out of his stupor. April and Jaxon sprang apart both hitting their heads on the car roof. They both glared at Hunter whilst he smiled innocently at them. While all this was happening they didn't realise the car had come to a stop. They heard the slamming of car doors and the muffled voices of two men. April started crying and shaking once more so Jaxon and Hunter pushed her behind both of them. They crouched in anticipation ready to swing at their kidnappers. Roll, dodge punch, uppercut… Jaxon was thinking of the all the martial arts classes he went to, which was once when his mother was trying to get with his instructor. All the movements were rolling through is head. "Roll dodge, punch, uppercut. Roll, dodge, punch, uppercut," he mumbled to himself. Then there was a click and the boot was thrown open. The trio were momentarily blinded by the sun and after two minutes of intense squinting and eye rubbing they managed to see. The boys were prepared to attack but when they saw who it was they froze. "Director Fury?" said Hunter in disbelief.

"Hello children. Sorry for the rough man-handling but you must understand, it was necessary," said the director. The kids just stared at him speechless. It was all of their dreams to be able to meet the powerful director and his team. They slowly got out of the car and tried to stand but immediately sank to the ground. Three of the director's henchmen ran to their sides to help them up. "Sorry kids," he said. "The tranq should wear off shortly."

"Your meant to be dead," said Jaxon bluntly.

"Jaxon!" April yelled, elbowing him in the ribs.

"OUCH! What? Its true," Jaxon said with a shrug whilst rubbing his ribcage.

"No it's fine," Director Fury said. "Technically that is true. But I come from the past requiring your assistance. If you refuse, life as you know it will never be the same," he said ominously.

"Okay, hold on," said Hunter, "There are a few things wrong with that sentence. Firstly you mentioned you came from the past? Impossible. Secondly you said require our assistance. Unfortunately I have found fault in that sentence too. You're Director Fury. Where you are, where the Avengers are, and if you have the greatest super heroes of all time and your beck and call, why would you need three children from New York, who have no superhero experience apart from playing a power rangers video game? Finally if we refuse to come with you the world as we know it never being the same… implying that you want us to somehow 'save the world'? I don't even think I need to mention how completely ridiculous that is. So you see director, with the utmost respect I'm sure you might be suffering from a rare disease called stupidity."

"That was quite a speech young man," said the director, "but how about I explain everything to you at Stark Tower? A much more suitable place to discuss the matter at hand, don't you agree? As soon as Stark Tower was mentioned, Hunter was on board. He was going to meet his idol! The director looked at April and Jaxon for their consent. They looked at each other with 'why not, we've got nothing better to do than watch reruns of dance moms' expressions on their faces and nodded. "Excellent!" exclaimed the director. He clicked his fingers and a massive purple hole appeared in the wall next to them.

"Is that a..." Jaxon began.

"Yes, that is a portal and also how I got here. So as you can see not impossible," he said giving Hunter a pointed look. Hunter shrank back under the director's heavy gaze. "Anyway get in!" he shouted over the roaring of the portal. "I need to get home before 8.00 p.m.!" The trio looked at each other and nodded. They linked hands and Hunter yelled, "On the count of three! One, Two, Three!"
