Hey,

I didn't actually plan on this but; this is unfortunately the last chapter! :O xx I hope you like the ending! Thank you for all of your support on this fic, it means a lot as I'm obviously not the best writer but I love it.

Hope you enjoy!

John growled and pressed down harder on the accelerator, he had hardly gotten out of that place without being caught. He knew he was going back to jail, it was only a matter of time, but he wasn't going back without his revenge.

He wasn't quite sure what way they had gone, but he had a feeling that they would carry on the way they had been going. They wouldn't have been too far ahead, he hoped anyway.

Then a thought came to him, he turned on his GPS. A smile flashed on his face when the car popped back up onto the screen. He was glad that he was in fact going the right direction.

'It was only a matter of time,' he thought again.

...

Kurt had been on the phone to the police again. He'd had an idea, but I meant it was likely for another confrontation with John again. He didn't want to, but he would do anything to keep Blaine safe and if that's what it took, so be it.

He knew that John would be tracking the car, so the plan was to pull over and wait for him to arrive. Then he knew he would have to stall John until the police got there. He feared that if he just left the car and ran John wouldn't stay long enough for the police to get there and then he would find them.

Kurt looked over at Blaine; the bruises were becoming more visible on his face. He was still unconscious but he could see this chest raising and falling, which was a good sign at least. He took his hand again, taking a breath before pulling over at another abandoned rest stop, though this one looked like it had been used, litter was sprawled across the floor and there was tire marks in the mud.

He knew that the police were also tracking their car, which meant that they knew where to go to find them. Now all that was left to do was wait.

...

John laughed when he noticed that they had stopped, 'where they stupid?' He thought.

There was only like two minutes between them so changing cars now wasn't any good, it would take them to long to fill in the paper work. Though, the GPS said that they had stopped at another rest stop.

John frowned briefly, before shrugging it off.

He was finally going to get what he wanted, he should be happy.

...

Kurt's heart leapt when he saw John's car, he thought about driving away but he wanted this to end, now.

He took a large breath and let go of Blaine's hand.

He waited until John had stopped the car and had got out before getting out himself, locking the door behind him with Blaine still in the car.

"I don't understand you," John said as he walked towards him. "What is there to understand?" Kurt said still standing by the car.

"You don't need to be involved in this, do you just like getting your ass kicked?" John smiled his yellow teeth making him look even uglier than he already was.

"I'll do whatever it takes to protect Blaine," Kurt stated taking a quick glance back into the car at the still unconscious Blaine.

John reached Kurt, shoving him backwards into the car, leaning against him. "You have one more chance, move and unlock the door," Kurt felt his mouth against his ear, feeding him the words.

"No."

….

Blaine heard a bang and opened his eyes; he was in pain and was tired.

He looked around slightly and felt himself bolt in to life as he saw John against Kurt, pushing him against the window of the car. He undid his seat belt and tried to open the door but found it to be locked. 'Of course,' he thought.

"No." He heard Kurt answer to a question that he hadn't even heard, it may have not even been a question.

He leaned over banging on the other door. "Kurt, quickly, open the door, please!" He saw Kurt turn slightly to look round at him, tears in his eyes. "I'm sorry," Kurt said and turned away again,

"No, Kurt don't do this," he said tears streaming down his face in a matter of seconds.

...

Kurt didn't know what was going through his mind when he heard Blaine banging on the window of the car begging him to unlock the door, but he knew in his heart that it was better that he was safe inside the car until the police got here. He hoped that would be so-.

In mid thought he was thrown to the ground, he tried to get up but within seconds John was back onto him kicking him in the stomach, making sure that he stayed down.

He could see Blaine screaming and banging on the windows, trying to get out of the car to help him, but wasn't having any luck. He stared up at John who was about to advance on him again, but this time he fought back.

When John got close enough he kicked up with his foot, kicking him square in the face. John reeled back holding his face, blood spurting out of his nose. With a growl he came back at Kurt lifting his foot and stamping down hard on his stomach.

Kurt screamed out in pain as he felt a couple of his ribs break, he couldn't move. All he could do was watch as he walked back to his car, getting something from inside. He could only just make out what it was; it was the plank that he had hit him over the head with in the bathroom. 'This is it,' Kurt thought. 'This is how I'm going to die.'

He glanced over at Blaine who had now resorted to kicking at the window, but it wasn't working.

So he laid there, waiting for his fate.

But suddenly, he noticed what John was really going to do when he walked past him and then carried on towards Blaine.

"NO, PLEASE!" He screamed trying to shuffle himself closer towards the car, but each movement caused immense pain.

...

Blaine was relieved when he walked past Kurt, he had hurt him enough. Though, he was terrified as he came towards him with a large wooden plank.

"NO, PLEASE!" He heard Kurt scream as John descended on the car.

John turned and smiled at Kurt just before reaching the car. He wanted to yell to Kurt that it would be ok and that he loved him. But he couldn't get himself to do it, so he just moved as far back into the car he could go and waited.

John raised the plank and it came smashing through the window in one foul swoop. He dropped the plank and opened the door from the inside.

"Get out," John said moving a little, making enough room for him to get out of the car. "And why do you think that I would do that?" Blaine replied trying to look past him to see how Kurt was doing.

"Because, if you don't I'll kill your little boyfriend out here." John bent down picking up the plank of wood again.

"Ok, I'm coming, just don't hurt him anymore."

Blaine struggled but eventually got himself to the door of the car, there was glass everywhere and his body ached in pain which had made the job harder. He stood up so that he was outside of the car, he could see that Kurt had stopped moving towards the car, watching with tears in his eyes from the fear and pain of what was about to happen.

He walked a few steps away from the car, looking at John, his eyes throbbing with anger. He'd had enough.

John walked forward quickly; he had no time to react as his legs got smacked out from underneath him with the wooden plank, sending him straight to the ground.

Blaine coughed after his back hit the ground, trying to get oxygen back in to his lungs.

"I want to kill you so bad," John said with a psychotic look in his eyes, walking circles around him poking him with the plank every so often.

"Then do it then!" Blaine yelled, he was sick of the taunting.

John smiled. "Fine," he said lifting the plank above his head.

He was about to bring it down when a shot rang out. John suddenly dropped the plank, falling to the floor next to it holding his shoulder.

Within five seconds the place was flooded with police, he sighed with relief looking over at Kurt who was looking relived himself.

Some of the police came over asking if he was ok and about five minutes after that, they were on their way to the hospital, it was over.

...

Three months later.

Blaine looked into the mirror, his wounds had only just healed, the same a Kurt.

He smiled, now he could start to forget that this ever happened. John had been sentenced to life in jail and he was never going to see him again.

He and Kurt were going out to dinner to celebrate; he'd got a table at the best restaurant that he could find, so he put on the best suit and bow tie that he could find, and went to meet Kurt there, he had been at work all day, so he'd picked out his favourite flowers to give to him when he got there.

He held them as he waited by the door of the restaurant, smiling as his car pulled up and he got out, he too was wearing a suit.

"Aw, that's cute thank you," Kurt said taking the flowers from him and repaying him with a kiss on the cheek.

They walked in and got settled at a table, looking around at the amazingly decorative walls of blue and purple wall paper and pictures of different scenic places such as cliffs and beaches.

Once they had both finished dinner, he knew that it was the right time. He stood up, looking down on Kurt who was giving him a weird look.

"Kurt, you make me so happy, and with all that we have been through, you still have not given up on me. And you have no idea how much that means to me. I don't know what would have happened all those years ago if I hadn't met you, you complete me. I love you so much baby," Blaine got down on one knee pulling out a beautiful silver ring, tears were running down his face. "Will you marry me?" He continued.

Kurt had started crying to half way through the speech, covering his mouth with his hands trying to hide his shock.

Blaine watched as Kurt stood up taking his hands away from his face. "Oh my god Blaine, yes of course I will!" They both smiled as Kurt allowed Blaine to put the ring on his finger.

Kurt pulled him into a hug. "I love you so much, Kurt," Blaine said pulling away a little to look in to Kurt's beautiful sea blue eyes. "I love you too." Kurt whispered.

They kissed passionately, knowing that they were going to live happily together for the rest of their lives.
