There was no doubt that Hermione was surprised when Malfoy and Harry walked past each other in the corridor without trading insults. Or when Harry told Ron to 'shut up' when he was complaining about the blond Slytherin. But as she stood in an abandoned corridor, staring, shocked, at the two boys locked in a passionate embrace, it all started to make sense.
