As soon as I fall back onto my bed I am asleep in mere seconds.

The next thing I know I hear Tobias's thought-speech wake me, [Rache, I'm here, open up.]

I look up and see the undeniable sight of Tobias's red-tailed hawk face staring at me through my window.

I'm up in seconds and open the window, he glides through it and begins to de-morph.

As soon as he's done I envelope him in my arms, which he's only glad to accept.

We kiss in a fervent yet sweet manner, he buries his face in my neck and breathes in deep, just like earlier at the meadow.

Tobias smiles and says happy "Hi, rache, I've missed you, um, are you sure that you're mom and sisters will be gone until Monday, I mean I don't want us, interputed."

I kiss him and answer "I've missed you too, and to answer you're question, I am one hundred percent certain that they are gone , if I wasn't sure I wouldn't of invited you over here silly."

That seems to put his mind at ease and he kisses me again softly.

When he pulls away, I take a few moments to really soak up how incredibly good looking he is.

Ever since he retained the ability to morph again, he rarely uses it.

Only the few occasions when I had convinced him to attend school dances, or the time on the beach were we had kissed for the first time.

I know that he prefers his red-tailed hawk body to a human, as he feels so uncomfortable and weak.

So I know that by Tobias being here as human essentially powerless without his razor-sharp hawk senses, is a huge sign of how much he loves me.

To say that I am grateful for that would be a gigantic understatement.

Tobias smiles at me and asks "Hey Rachel are you all right?"

I give him a bright smile kiss him and reply "Yes I'm fine, I love you, you know."

He winds his arms around my waist and says "I know I love you, too."

I take his right hand in mine and pull him toward my bed.

I slip out of my jacket and toss it on the floor.

I begin to slide my tank top off when once again that day Tobias reaches for my hands and covers them with his own.

I let out a frustrated sigh but allow him to speak.

He squeezes my hands once and says "Rachel maybe this wasn't a great idea, I mean I'm not sure if we should-"

Before he can finish I pull him toward me and kiss him with as much passion as I can muster.

He pulls back breathless and says "All right you've convinced me."

I smile and say victorious "Tobias I'm crazy about you, but I gotta say that one of you're flaws is that you overthink stuff, so please just don't think, I know this is right and so do you."

Tobias grins and replies warmly "I know you're right, I love, you."

I pull him to me again and we fall back onto the bed, he straddles me softly and removes my tank top, I slide his shirt off of him as well.

In haste we both quickly remove our pants and come together once again that day.

Once more we are driven straight first into mind-blowing bliss.

Twenty minutes later we collapse back onto the bed and sigh equally pleased and satisfied.

He slides out of my embrace but is back in seconds and drapes my jacket across me.

I curl into him and he kisses me.

Tobias says softly "I'm glad I came over."

I nuzzle his neck and answer warmly "So am I, thanks for this night, it has been truly amazing."

He grins and kisses my right cheek and replies "You're welcome."

I take a peak at my nightstand clock we still have half a hour left.

I ask hopeful "We have a full half hour do you want to go again?"

Tobias gently cradles my face with his hands, he kisses both of my cheeks, my forehead nose and finally my lips.

He says sad "I'm sorry rache but I should be morphing back now, it's not to say I haven't enjoyed this night I have, it's just well I-"

Once again that night I cut him off with a passionate kiss unable to hear more.

I lean my forehead against his and whisper "I know, but again, I do not have enough words to express how important this night has been to me."

Tobias kisses me and says "Yeah for me too, rache, for me too."

I hug him and we very reluctant throw the sheets of my bed off of us and get up.

Tobias pulls his pants and shirt on.

I tug on my tank top and sweats.

He kisses me softly and I smile

Tobias says "I meant what I said before we'll have more nights like this one, I think I am starting to find more pro's with being a human."

I laugh softly and say "I'm happy you feel that way , I'll fly back with you if you want."

He nods and answers "I'd like that."

We both close our eyes and each focus on the animal DNA inside of us.

In minutes we are both vicious birds of prey, I a bald eagle, and Tobias a red-tailed hawk.

Tobias looks at me once again with the cold hard eyes of a predator.

He says [Come on Rachel I'll race you to the meadow!]

I laugh and quip back [You're so on!]

We both glide out of my bedroom window and off into the night back toward the meadow and being the more experienced flyer naturally Tobias wins.

He lands on the same branch a few feet into the woods that he did earlier in the evening.

I say [That was a good race but next time I am so kicking you're butt!]

I hear Tobias's soft laugh in my mind it lifts my spirit immensely

He shoots back [Yeah for sure, I'd be happy to race you again, well Rachel, good night, I love you.]

I say softly [Good night Tobias, I love you, do you think you could come over tomorrow, we could fly to beach.]

He answers quickly [That would be great I'll be at you're bedroom window around noon.]

I say ecstatic [Awesome see you tomorrow I love, ya!]

Tobias replies gently [I love you, see you then Rachel.]

I flap my wings and fly off the branch.

Once again I find myself on the way home filled with a wonderful feeling of happiness.

While I am continually reminded that Tobias and I have a less than ideal relationship I still find myself not wanting it any other way.
