A/N: Written for the Bingo Card Drabble Competition, Round 4, with card 37. Hermione Granger. The perfect time to update this collection. :D
Miss Perfection
2. In an Essay Worth Next to Nothing
She wrote each word with careful strokes
carved with a shaking hand
that's firm, yet without
the sands of time engraved.
She could write faster, perhaps,
but then her carefully crafted characters
would melt into illegible scrawls
on a rough parchment page
Because, though unlike the ballpoint points
of old, she wished the same even strokes
to be made.
