A week after the meeting.

HOMRA Bar

.

.

"What the…" Misaki trailed off; unsure of what to react.

In front of him, seated the Blue King and his most loyal lieutenant, Awashima Seri on the bar stool with Izumo who was busy preparing their drinks. They weren't on their usual blue uniform, but instead clad in casual clothes. Something he never saw from the man who took his King's life away.

He still held a grudge against him alright, even though he knew it was inevitable with Mikoto's condition. His king took Totsuka's untimely death the worst, even though he was so passive on the outside. With Totsuka's death, Mikoto's will to live was also gone in an instant. It was known after all, within the wall of HOMRA, that Totsuka Tatara, held special place in the Red King's heart.

"Ah, you finally join us, Misaki." Izumo said with a rather strained smile on his face.

"What are you doing here?" Yata said with utmost coldness he could muster.

"Misaki." Izumo reprimanded as he put the drinks.

"Tche." Misaki uttered under his breath.

"Could we talk for a while, Misaki-san?" Munakata said calmly; ignoring Yata's rude comment.

Yata glared at him severely.

Seri sighed loudly. "Please, he means no harm. He just wants to talk to you."

"And why should I ?" Yata raised his eyebrow in annoyance. His days weren't exactly rainbow and spring and his head was still messed up with Fushimi's confession last week.

"Because it's related to you." Munakata said peacefully as he sipped his hot tea. "And it's Suoh's request."

"What?" the other three occupants said on the same time.

"You see, Misaki-san, a week before Totsuka Tatara's death, I and Suoh had a chat." Munakata put his mug with a soft clink. "It seems that his intuition already alarmed him that a bad occurrence would transpire in his clan, so he asked me to tell you this if he's gone before he could resolve the situation." He explained further.

This piqued his interest. What kind of thing that his King couldn't solve at that time and related to him in some way? As far as he could remember, there were no troubles involving him at all.

"Let's go, Misaki-san." Munakata stood from his seat and walked to the door. Misaki was confused but nevertheless he followed the Blue King out of the HOMRA BAR.

"And Seri, give him the thing I gave to you earlier." Munakata said for the last time before he disappeared from the door; followed by a confused Misaki.

After she made sure Misaki was out of their line of vision, she took a pristine white envelope out of her purse and gave it to Izumo.

"A letter ?" Izumo asked incredulously.

"It's one of the letters Mikoto Suoh entrusted to Captain." she informed him.

Raising his eyebrow, Izumo quickly walked out from the stool and stood beside Seri. He opened the envelope which was fused with the Kings' seal; so nobody could open nor destroy the letter until the rightful receiver opens the letter. He has received Mikoto's legacy's letter so there won't be any unnecessary confusion and all that jazz when if he died.

But that was years ago and even then, he hadn't known that there were other letters from him. And why now, after years of his departure ? Why Munakata ?

When he opened the letter, he swiftly recognized Mikoto's handwriting. As he read, the frown on his face cleared little by little until what was left was the sad understanding on his face.

"I see…" He murmured as he put the letter back into its envelope.

"What did he say?" Seri pried. "If I could know, of course."

"You see, Rei-chan…" He weakly chuckled. "It's basically Mikoto's will about Saruhiko and Misaki." he said shortly before he handed the letter to Seri.

Izumo,

I know you're confused about why I gave this letter to Reisi instead of you. I'm sorry. But I need to make sure that they've found their resolve. Or at least one of them.

It's too troublesome to explain from the beginning, but I'm sure you've realized that there was something going on between Saruhiko and Misaki before he defected to Reisi's. I didn't pay any mind about it until Tatara mentioned it to me.

From Tatara's point of view, it seems that Saruhiko defected because of me. Or because Misaki paid a lot of attention to me to be exact. I feel responsible for this strained relationship of them. I heard from Tatara that they don't have anybody else aside of each other and us. I can't take any measurement to remedy this, for we all know Saruhiko always goads Misaki around. And Saruhiko needs to be honest with his intention before I could do anything, which is won't be happening for a long time.

If you receive this letter, I assume I'm already died.

Tatara has the feeling that Misaki would strongly deny the truths if Saruhiko ever tell him that. So with Tatara's insistence, I made this. I don't know if it's too late or not, but I hope those two could reconcile like how we found them for the first time. Inseparable.

I know it's selfish of me to ask this to you, but could you watch over them? They've been through a lot together from what Tatara told me and I wish for my family's happiness.

Heh, you too.

Just lay off your womanizing way and get Awashima already. It's tiring to see the sexual tension between both of you.

I trust you with Anna and our family.

Mikoto Suoh.

Underneath the name, there was Mikoto's signature.

"The idiot!" Izumo choked with a smile as his eyes stung.

It has been years after he actually cried for the departed Red King. In fact the last time he almost cried was when he read the inheritance Mikoto left to him to arrange between HOMRA members.

"Since when he became so insightful like that?" He laughed as Seri embraced figure after he sat on the bar stool beside her.

"He's a very gentle king, didn't he?" Seri murmured as she comforted the grown up man.

"So, what do you want to talk about ?" Misaki didn't waste any time on some useless chit chat and went straight to the point.

"Some things." Munakata replied calmly as they walked around.

"If you're just going to play with me-" Misaki growled warningly before he was cut.

"Fushimi." Munakata cut in.

Surprise was flickered on his face before he regained his control.

"What about the monkey ?" Yata scoffed as he pretended that he's not interested. By the second his name was mentioned, their fights a week ago slowly was replaying in the back of his mind.

"What do you think about him ?" Munakata pretended to ask. Mikoto and Totsuka have filled him about this, but having two side of perspective from both Misaki and Fushimi wouldn't hurt him.

"Why are you so interested ?" Misaki retorted back as wariness seeped into him.

"I'm his King. I have every right to know what has bothered my subordinate so much." Munakata replied as he used his King card.

"You have no right to be privy in his personal life. King or not." Misaki defended Fushimi unconsciously.

"Oh, so it's personal ?" Munakata baited. "I thought his banter with you was really childish of him to act like that."

"You don't know anything about him." Misaki hissed.

"Oh, really ? Years of him under my wings have given me some good insight of him. He's childish, stubborn, act as he pleases, have a tendency to be a psychopath, suicidal-"

"Don't you dare to continue it." Misaki openly glared dagger at the Blue King.

"Why are you so touchy when I insult Saruhiko, Yata-kun ?" Munakata countered. "I thought you hate him ?" Munakata provoked.

Caught off guard, Misaki felt the anger swiftly replaced with questionable didn't even realize the rather intimate name Munakata has called to him.

"I-I.." He stuttered as his mind replayed the anguish face of Fushimi. His heart ached.

Sensing that he has pushed Yata enough for a day, Munakata stopped in front of Misaki.

"Suoh was deeply concerned about the strained relationship between you two." Munakata bluntly said.

"What ?" Misaki woke up from his panic induced state.

"He wished for happiness to both of you." Munakata continued.

Instantly, a memory slapped back into his face.

"Stop being in denial." Mikoto said out of the blue.

Yata snapped back from his empty daydream when he heard the unusually serious voice of his King. When he realized that his left hand was unconsciously rubbing his white headphone, he quickly dropped it off before looking around to see who's Mikoto currently talked to.

The bar was almost empty, aside for Anna who was currently playing around with her marbles beside Mikoto and Tatara who enjoyed a nap on the King's lap –on Mikoto's insistence if he recalled correctly-, and Izumo who was peacefully rubbing his precious glasses.

Confused, he murmured, "Uh…."

When he stared back to Mikoto, he opted to close his eyes and ignored Misaki; leaving him even more clueless.

"Is that what he mean? About Fushimi ?" Misaki pondered.

"Just take your choice soon. Time is moving fast." Munakata's voice brought him back to his current predicament.

With a gentle pat on the head, Munakata left Misaki alone.

Two weeks later.

Misaki sighed as he replayed the unpleasant talk he had with Izumo. After his encounter with the strange yet highly annoying Blue King, he decided to mull it over by himself and didn't share it with Izumo. The barman was like a protective older brother for him and he knew that Izumo would like to know what Munakata said to him. It's not that he didn't want to share itwith the older man, but how could he tell him when even he's still unable to understand the sudden turn of event ?

However a week ago, Izumo plainly locked him in the bar and interrogated him. Since he was still stuck and confuse on how to take action ((emotional action involving himself was never his forte)) he honestly told , from the day he met Fushimi in the alley until the recent conversation he had with the Blue King.

At first, he didn't know what had made the usually patient man to interrogated him a bit agressively, Izumo admitted that Seri told him a few things about Fushimi.

Izumo was silent for a long time after he finished his tale. He began to feel uncomfortable when Izumo sighed loudly.

"Damn, it's more complicated than I thought." He murmured. He closed his eyes for a moment before he stared at Misaki; dead serious.

"Go to his apartment. Apologize and tell him what you've told me. Honestly." Izumo emphasized.

But of course, typically, he did what Izumo told him to do a week later; when he thought he has solid control of his emotion and his mind was clear enough to have another unpleasant talk.

Bah, excuses, he knew.

He's scared, to be honest. Numerous what if were running around in his head and the wounds of Fushimi's betrayal added the pressure he felt.

So, here he was, in front of Fushimi's apartment. He ran across several civilian and blue clansmen who stared as if he has grown another head.

Or maybe he could use another head to think this muddy..thing between Fushimi and him. Well, at least he admitted that he was harsh to Fushimi back then.

"Fushimi?" Misaki knocked on Fushimi's apartment. When no one answered him, hesitantly he turned the knob and surprised that it wasn't locked.

With worried eyes, he went into Fushimi's dark apartment. All lights were off, the curtains were drawn, everything was in its respective place.

But no sign of Fushimi.

Small portion of fear dawned into Misaki, as he looked around the empty apartment. The living room was tidy except of the thin dust on the furniture, the kitchen was empty and the toilet was also clean. No trace of blood or whatsoever.

With newly found fear, Misaki walked into the main bedroom; Fushimi's Bedroom. When he finally on the front door, Misaki stopped.

Should he turn the knob ? Should he come in ? What if Fushimi is there ?

Putting his fear aside, Misaki went into the bedroom.

To find it void of anything.

Well, the furniture were still there, but the atmosphere was different.

Like the owner of this room has gone.

Gone for good.

Misaki's eyes dilated in realization and his heart beat palpitated.

Panic.

He half ran to Fushimi's drawer and opened it; to find it empty.

Dread filled his entire being.

"No, he couldn't be-" he almost tripped when he ran to Fushimi's private bathroom.

But his belongings were also gone.

"Just take your choice soon. Time is moving on." The Blue King's words somehow came to the front of his mind. And everything clicked.

Dazed, Misaki plopped down on Fushimi's bed. When he looked on the nightstand, he saw a fallen photo figure. With a sigh, he took it and made it stand again, but he was dumbstruck when he saw the photo.

It was him and Fushimi when they were teenagers. Even though Fushimi was someone who kinda despises PDA, Misaki managed to got Fushimi do it one time. He put it back to the nightstand before he buried his nose to the bed.

Fushimi's scent filled his nostril, enveloping his shaking figure.

He's gone.

Fushimi's gone.

Just like Totsuka, his big brother figure. Fushimi's gone without a trace.
