Third person:

"So you're home, had enough of school for one day huh?" Shigure asked Kyo from inside his study.

"I don't want to live in this house anymore." Kyo said from his spot on the ground outside of Shigures study.

"You can train on a mountain for four months, I think you can endure living three day's here." Shigure stated writing down notes on a piece of paper.

"I said such terrible things to her," Kyo said ashamed, "terrible…"

"And by her you mean Tohru because I doubt Amy would let you get away without being black and blue first." Shigure said leaning his cheek on his fist, " And let me guess you lost your temper and yelled at her again right? You know you shouldn't do that if you're just going to regret it" Shigure shook his index finger sideways to emphasize on the 'shouldn't'.

Shigure dropped his hand, "not to bright is it?"

"Save your breath, I'm just not meant to get along with other people, period, end of story." Kyo said gloomily.

"Oh sure some people just aren't, but you're not one of them, you lack experience that's all." Shigure reassured Kyo, "For example I'm sure you can smash this table to bits with your bare hands but I'm equally sure you can punch the table without breaking it, and why is that? Because I know your training taught you to control your fist, at least I should hope so after four months of fighting bears and what not-"

"I didn't fight bears!" Kyo cried furiously.

"My point it takes just as much training to get along with people, only training by yourself in the mountains won't do you any good, you need to surround yourself with others as you get to know them, of course you'll take a chance of hurting them, they'll end up hurting you, one of those thing might just happen… but that's the only way we will learn, about others, about ourselves." Shigure looked at the back of Kyo's head, "You're a black belt in martial arts but I guess you still got a white belt in social skills, someday you're going to meet someone who truly wants to be your friend and you theirs but if you don't keep training you won't be ready when that happens."

"It will never happen anyway." Kyo denied.

"Uh-huh, ever say never." Shigure said waving his finger.

"Okay fine maybe if I meet someone with brain damage or something." Kyo said.

"That's the spirit." Shigure said sarcastically.

Amy POV:

"Hello, Shigure I'm home." I called from the front door taking my shoes off.

"Amy? You're home early, I'm in the study come here." Shigure called from inside the house.

I walked down the hall towards Shigures study, I took a deep breath, 'well this is it.' I thought to myself, Shigure is no doubt going to question my state of appearance. I opened the sliding door.

"Hello Amy, your home-" Shigure stopped when he saw my face, "Amy what happened to your face?" Shigure cried in alarm.

A figure bolted up startling me, it was Kyo he looked at me, well my face with a look of worry and surprise.

I sat down and told them everything that had happened from the fight to the talk with the principle.

"That's unfair, those two should have gotten more time, but nonetheless what are you going to do for the next three weeks?" Shigure asked me.

"Well I was planning on getting more shifts at work once the swelling on my face goes down." I said. My upper lip was swollen and I hade a thin cut on my cheek and a few more small cuts here and there, one of those bastards was wearing a ring. However the other two looked worse than me, Blondie is currently sporting a black eye and a busted lip and I'm pretty sure I broke Mr. Muscles nose and I'm sure a few of his ribs will be tender for a few day's after I kicked him.

The door to Shigures study opened, "I'm home." Yuki said.

"Oh you are? Is Tohru not with you?" Shigure asked.

"Na, Tohru has work today." I told Shigure, "She won't be home until eleven."

"I was thinking about picking her up." Yuki said.

"That's probably a good idea," Shigure agreed with Yuki, "there are some weirdo's around here."

"Well I'm going into town," I said getting up of the ground, "Shigure do you need anything?" I asked.

"I'm good, thank you"

The bell on the door chimed signaling that someone had walked into the café, a petite girl with long orange hair turned around flashing a huge smile that made her eyes shut, "Hello, welcome to Maid Café," she said in a sugary voice, "My name is Rin and-" her baby blue eyes widened when she saw it was me.

"Oh my god Amy what happened to your face?" she asked rushing to my side, she grabbed the side of my face examining all the cuts, "Who did this to you? I swear I'll make them regret it!" her once sweet voice turned bitter, her blue eyes darkened with anger.

"Rin calm down." I said in a soothing voice, "it's nothing I can't handle, so don't worry about it they look worse that me."

"They, as in two of them? Tell me everything that happened, and you better not leave out any details" she demanded pulling me over to a table.

I took a deep breathe, "okay I will tell you but promise you won't do anything stupid, you know how you get when you're angry."

"Amy that's not-" Rin began but I cut her off with a firm stare.

"Rin I'm serious you cannot do anything, what's done is done." I looked her straight in the eye, "besides I don't need others to fight my battles."

"Okay fine I won't do anything." Rin promised crossing her arms on the table.

It took me a lot longer to tell Rin everything than it did to tell Shigure and Kyo because she kept interrupting me.

"You know the three weeks suspension is totally unjustified." Rin hissed annoyed.

"Yeah well that's what I got, no point crying over spilled milk." I told her.

Rin looked startled, "okay what the hell is going on? Where is the girl that would beat someone up if they looked at her the wrong way?" she asked amazed.

I huffed annoyed, "just because I have a temper doesn't mean I don't know when I'm in the wrong, I'm not an idiot."

"I know you're not an idiot, it's just really strange to not see you ticked off after you get into a fight, so what's the problem?" Rin asked.

"Tohru, Tohru's the problem! She's going to be so disappointed, but she won't say it, she doesn't like upsetting people, and it makes me feel like shit!" I cried frustrated banging my hands against the surface of the table, making tea cups tremble.

"Hey! Hey, calm down, it's gonna be okay, Tohru's really understanding," Rin said trying to calm me down, "and besides what did these poor tea cups ever do to you? Now say sorry to tea cup-Chan" Rin teased.

A giggle escaped my lips, "You're right…and sorry for blowing up like that."

"It's all good, anyways any particular reason that you're here? You're shifts doesn't start until Wednesday." Rin stated.

"I'm actually looking for Ren, is she around?" I asked.

"Yeah, she should be in her office." Rin said pointing behind her in the general direction in which Ren office was located.

"Okay thanks, I'll see you later Rin." I called over my shoulder; Rin waved me off as she went to help another customer.

I came to a stop in front of Ren white wooden door and knocked twice.

"Come in." was heard from the other side of the door, when I opened the door I was not so gifted with the sight of Ren bending over doing Pilates.

Really?

"Oh Amy it's you! How have you been?" Ren called, looking at me with her head between her thighs, "I was just wondering when- OH MY GOD WHAT HAPPENED TO YOUR FACE!" Ren shrieked, running up to me like a bat out of hell and pulled me into a tight embrace wailing, "AMY! Oh my beautiful girl! You're face is hideous! Don't worry mommy will fix you right up!" Ren suddenly let me go, making me fall to the ground gasping for breath.

"Rin-Chan! Get my makeup bag pronto!" Ren demanded from the doorway.

"Right!" Rin saluted before running off to find the bag.

"Misa-Chan get me my makeup brushes! Yu-Chan get me some moisturizer! This is an emergency!" Ren cried dramatically.

"What about me Ren-Chan what can I do?" Sakura, an extremely cute girl with golden blonde hair and blue eyes asked excitedly, she looked about 10 but was really 17.

"Sakura-Chan… eat some cake and drink some tea." Ren said not sure what else to tell her to do.

Sakura seemed to deflate and walked over to a table in a dark corner

Miserably, slowly stuffing her face with cake and taking small sips of tea every now and again.

"Time for operation: Make my darling Amy pretty again!" Ren cried standing in her good girl pose, some of the customers clapped, admiring Ren.

"Don't you think you've taken this to far?" I asked unimpressed crossing my arms.

Ren didn't hear me because she was to busy running around like a headless chicken, when the others got back with there respected items Ren seemed to snap out of it, "Grab her!"

"wha-"

Everybody jumped at me, Misa and Yu grabbed my arms while Sakura and Rin held down my legs.

"Hey! Let me go!" I cried struggling with my human bonds, I tried kicking my legs out but Sakura and Rin had a good grip.

"Keep still!" Ren yelled before she smeared moisturizer all over my face before blending it in, she did the same with the concealer and liquid foundation and finished with some powder.

"Operation complete!" Ren squealed happily, while she was examining me like a painter would his canvas, "You look perfect, now give mommy a hug!" Ren cried pulling me into a hug.

"Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful." Ren sang spinning me around in circles, when she let me go I felt queasy and if it wasn't for Misa and Rin I would have fallen on my ass.

When I felt better I looked at Rin un- amused, "was this really necessary?" I asked, not liking how my face felt heavy and clogged.

Ren looked like she was about to go into one of her tantrums about how looks are important and I should place more pride and effort in my appearance.

"Ah, never mind, I'm going home." I said wave goodbye.

I had just gotten out of the café when I heard the loudest wail, "Amy, come back to mommy!" Ren cried kneeling in defeated; Sakura and Rin tried comforting her, while Misa and Yu stood back.

Walking in the direction of Shigures I couldn't help but smile, "they are such pests, but I wouldn't change them for anything."
