Disclaimer: I own nothing.
Landing on the snow covered ground with a dull 'thump', Jack took this moment to try and figure out where exactly his beloved wind had taken him. All around him was snow, no signs of life present no matter how hard he looked.
"Home sweet homeā¦" He sighed before falling back into the snow. As he lay there staring yet seeing nothing, he began to think. He had powers that made him special. That's what he had been told when he had first 'awoken' by the white haired man who had been there at the time. The man had left soon after Jack had gotten a good handle on his powers only leaving behind a mask meant to protect Jack. No matter what he was now, the air was something his body was unable to tolerate. That's what the man had told him and he never questioned what the man said.
Letting out a breath, sounding oddly metallic thanks to the mask, Jack rolled on to his side and allowed his eyelids to fall. It wasn't like anyone would be able to survive here besides him, no one ever looked for the bringer of the ever so hated cold. Cold meant death after all and like Lucky said his entire existence was nothing more than a nuisance.
Unbeknownst to Jack two golden eyes peered at him, ill intent flooding those sinister orbs.
"Here! Cupid said that Jack was last seen heading here." Toothiana called out to her companions excitably, pointing towards a small village. The gold bands that were wrapped securely around her fore-arms shifted with the quick movement.
Sandy let out a silent huff. He had no real problem with Cupid and Toothiana liked him but the man had no morals. He would sell out someone's location and secrets for a piece of chocolate. The lack of morality had allied Cupid with Pitch but luckily the man had no qualms with selling information to his natural enemy. Trusting a man like that was undoubtedly going to hurt them in the end.
At the sight of the guardians people flooded the once deserted streets. Each person trying to get their own problems handled first.
"Thank goodness-!"
"My little boy he-!"
"-river is frozen-!"
"-Lucky is trapped-"
"-damned Frost!"
"My dog is-"
A large exclamation point formed over Sandy's head stopping the jumbled flurry of requests. The people looked from one another questionably, not being able to fully understand what Sandy was asking.
"Sandy what did you hear?" North asked the shorter man, having been unable to decipher all of the requests that had been thrown out all at once.
A little girl with curly orange hair tumbled out from the crowd before impatiently tugged on North's sleeve. "You have to help him! Lucky can't survive like that forever!" She let out a small sob, relentless in her efforts to pull the much larger man to where Lucky was.
Once they heard that name Bunny let out a low growl. It was no small secret that the man had been playing himself off as being one of them for years but would sooner sell this girl to Pitch than actually try to protect any of them.
However, North allowed himself to be dragged away by the girl with Toothiana, Sandy, and Bunny following. They came upon an arena within moments, when the arena came into view North narrowed his eyes suspiciously at the obviously new building. The girl tugged him inside before he could voice his thoughts, once there they immediately understood why no one had followed them inside the building.
The entire inside was coated in a thick layer of snow and in the middle of the frozen wasteland stood one leprechaun, frozen from the neck down and letting out enraged screams.
"The Ice bringer came and tried to kill Lucky! But Lucky's strong and managed to get out halfway but he must've used all his energy getting this free. Can you help him?" The little girl turned her pleading brown eyes towards the guardians, who glanced at one another with a look varying looks of disbelief. There was no doubt in their mind that Lucky had lied to this girl. When Bunny was trapped within Jack's ice nothing in the world was capable of getting him out until Sandy had found the boy and convinced him to free Bunny. Lucky was in no way weak, but in the same aspect he was nowhere near as powerful as Bunny so there was no way Lucky had gotten this free on his own.
"Don't worry little girl, we'll free him!" Toothiana smiled at the girl who grinned back before rushing out of the arena, no doubt scared to be in the same place that Frost was once in. The moment the little girl was out of sight her smile fell from her face. She immediately flew down to meet the man with a dark look settling on her face. "Where is he?"
Lucky grinned at the sight of the woman, mistakenly thinking that she was looking to kill Frost for hurting him. "Don' worry none 'bout me, love. Ay took care of that brat! Ay don' know where he went and ay don' care. Just help me outta this will ye?" He futilely tried to gesture at the ice encasing his body as if they didn't already see the problem.
North hummed thoughtfully, tapping his finger against his chin as though he were actually thinking about it. "Do not know, you can escape yourself, yes? You did so this far." He then gave the man a brilliant grin that was laced with an undertone of mocking.
Lucky took no notice of this and let out a humored scoff. "Ye know as well as me no one canne break that brat's ice. He let me out this far."
"Do ya know where he went?" Bunny cut in this time, already tired of the banter. Lucky sent the man a frustrated look in response.
"Ay already told ye. Ay don' know where he went. Now will ye help me outta here?" Lucky questioned forcibly, veins in his neck showing from the strain he was using to move his head.
The guardians glanced to one another, trying to figure out what to do next. Lucky had no idea where Jack went and even if they wanted to there was no way for them to free Lucky without the Frost boy.
After a few moments of silence North approached the still frozen leprechaun. "We are deeply sorry comrade. We cannot help without Frost. You know this." The jolly man told Lucky while shrugging his shoulders in a helpless manner. "We come back after we find Frost."
Lucky gaped at the retreating backs. "Oi! You canne leave me like this!" The frozen leprechaun screamed at the guardians. "How am ay supposed to survive!?" He screamed, quickly getting red in the face by the guardians lack of care.
"How you always do Lucky." Toothiana turned her head with a grin on her face. "Just use your luck to survive, I'm sure you'll figure something out." With that the guardians left the arena and the screaming leprechaun behind.
"Now, where would being of snow go?" North mused out loud as they began their trek back to his sleigh.
"Anywhere cold and horrid." Bunny responded instantly, shuddering at the thought of somewhere like that existing on its own.
"But there hasn't been anywhere that's cold naturally without Jack's influence since he was awoken." Toothiana looked close to pulling her hair out. Ever since the world had become nearly uninhabitable there was hardly any place that got to cool temperatures, let alone cold enough to sustain snow without Jack there constantly.
Sandy floated beside his companions before an exclamation point appeared above his head, grabbing the other guardians attention. The golden sand formed a funnel like shape where the small end emptied out into a large plane.
"The Great Chasm?" Toothiana questioned timidly, unsure if Sandy was implying that Jack Frost could live in an area that no living being ever went in. The quick nod from Sandy was enough to confirm her suspicions.
"But mate, no one lives there. No one can." Bunny told his friend only to receive a sand depiction of the mask that Jack Frost was infamous for wearing.
"AH! The mask! Clever boy! He uses mask to survive!" North cried out jovially, laughing joyfully at the apparent cleverness of the one they were trying to find. "Off to Great Chasm!"

Is anyone still reading and waiting for this?
I've updated!
It took a long time though... I'm sorry ;u;
For anyone still here I'll give you some background info on how this world came to be
Post apocalyptic, we've already got that covered? And the radiation is what made the guardians of childhood. Well the radiation was caused by a nuclear war set centuries before this story, so the radiation has dimmed down enough for human life to survive now but it still has high concentrations in places that would kill even the strongest of mutants. The Great Chasm is the site of one of the largest nuclear explosions that happened. The amount of radiation in the air is enough to drop anyone who goes near it if they do not have the proper precautions. Which also makes it the perfect hiding spot for Jack! :D
That's all I can think of for relevant background info so bye bye~!
