Not a day has gone by that the Citadel races hadn't been worried, and it was the first time in hundreds of years this had happened. The Citadel had been swarmed with aliens from around the Galaxy waiting in anticipation to see the arrival of the Humans. Sales and room rentals had increased to a record high, and the viewing docs had been swarmed by civilians. The Citadel space had also been surrounded by different spaceships of civilians and scientist alike, waiting for the strange and powerful human race. They would have to wait at least another 6 hours before the humans arrive, and the anticipation was driving some insane.
"Have we prepared counter strike methods for the instant they turn hostile and attack us?" asked Sparratus
"Yes sir, all of the weapons have been checked and are functioning. Systems are online and live, ammunition is loaded, and weapons are on standby." the officer reported.
"Good. Pray to the Spirits we don't need them. The opportunity presented is far too valuable to lose to a mere accident or miscommunication." Sparrutus said.
"Yes sir." The entire command centre's operatives echoed.
As the hours ticked by, and nothing happened the people grew more suspenseful. The tension hung in the air like a thick cloud of black smoke, choking its victims to death, in this case it made them anxious. Suddenly it all started, alarms blazing and lights flashing, technicians running around frantically. Hawkings radiation spiked, sudden bursts of tachyons were registered, solar flares were appearing out of nowhere, and then there was the sound of the space-time continuum itself being torn. The sound traveling thru space in itself broke all the laws of physics, yet it seemed like this race had no respect for those laws.
The people around the Citadel were terrified, they were witnessing cataclysmic events take place in front of them. They thought they were going to die until they saw the figures of ships appearing out of the different rips in space and some flashing into existence and another coming thanks to the Mass Relay. There were 20 ships floating in space now, 3 escort ships to one destroyer.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen. We would like to ask you to so kindly and orderly as possible to move out our path." Sam asked.
Sam, Jasmine, Dash, Danielle and Tucker were each on one of the ships, giving commands to their crews and escort ships. They knew there was nothing to fear from the races in front of them, but a little display of power and technology never hurt anybody… Well it might have hurt some of the people's brains, but it wasn't her fault they had to think so hard in order to figure out their technology. Their ships glided smoothly thru space, giving the other races an idea of majestic creatures, graceful and powerful. Sam chuckled at her own thoughts, shaking her head when she thought of Danny as graceful...
The 20 ships stopped within flying range of the Citadel, and waited for them to open a line of communication. Sam had waited patiently as the Citadel races ran about trying to get everything ready. After a few moments they were finally receiving an incoming video.
"This is the Citadel Bridge, we request you send one cruiser with your ambassadors." A woman stated.
"We confirm your request, however we shall not be using shuttles as it would be pointless and hinder out mobility. We shall head out to you as individuals, unarmed." Sam stated.
"…."
Sam then sent a telepathic message to the other 4 members that would interact with the Citadel. They phased thru their ships and flew towards the Citadel. When the various races around the Citadel saw 4 objects flying out towards the station, they panicked. As the projectiles closed in on the gigantic structure, the citizens could make out four figures and not four missile projectiles. This however confused them, they were out in the vacuum of space without breathing apparatus flight equipment or protection, yet it seemed they were unaffected?
The quartet arrived at the docking bay and phased thru the steel doors, earning startled yelps from the guards. The guards found the beings quite odd. Three appeared to be female and two male. The females wore quite revealing clothing, skirts and bra tops that revealed toned bodies with flawless skin, with shawls of near transparent material covering the top half. It did nothing to hide their beauty and dangerously alluring bodies. The men were dressed black pants and leather vest-jackets that were halfway zipped up. This displayed their impressive physiques and intimidated a lot of the officers.
"Take us to the council." Sam spoke with authority, yet using a seductive tone that sent chills up the officer's necks.
One of the officers had been gazing at Jasmine too long for Dash's liking and he growled, sending powerful tremor in the air. The leading officer nodded and motioned for them to follow him, walking briskly they proceeded to the council room. Along the way, they got stares from the races, not at their strangeness, but rather at their attractiveness and grace. Jazz and Sam had planned to use their alluring sexual appeal to gain attention from the other races, and make it easier to convince them The Persian Royal theme was selected by Danielle thou. As they stepped into the meeting room, the other councillors couldn't help but stare at these godly creatures.
"Good afternoon councillor's, I am Samantha Fenton and these are my fellow advisors and family members." Sam greeted
Sparrutus was finding it very difficult not to stare at the three women. The way they moved and the way this one spoke, it held such power and wisdom, yet could turn any man into clay. He was however married and didn't need to look at them like that, it would only hinder their negotiations. He peeked to his side and noticed how the two women were openly gawking at the two men, well as openly as a blank expression on their faces was.
"Afternoon Samantha and advisors. I trust you had an uneventful journey here?" he asked trying to buy some time for the other two.
"Indeed, it was a quiet and instantaneous journey." She informed him. "Shall we begin with talks about our races now then?"
The handling went as expected, the council wanted access to their vast data archives and technology in return for a seat on the lower ranking races of the Citadel. Jazz and Sam had refused, stating that the Citadel had nothing to offer them in return. The Turrain councillor had by this point become angry and accused Humans of doing genetic experimentation on themselves, however Tucker had informed them that this was not an option for their race as the entire race had DNA impulses that ensured their DNA couldn't be altered without killing the host. He knew the Turrain councillors would be stubborn and had hacked their systems.
The arguments proceeded for another 3 hours, and nothing had gotten solved in that time. Sam sighed and wanted to punch the irritating people in front of her, but contained her anger. This idiot was going in loops, asking their technology as reparation and compensation for the Turrain lives lost. They were not going to give the council their technology no matter what, the council was like a single ant trying to kill a whale which is impossible for two reasons. It would drown and the skin of a whale would be too smooth to bite. There is also the fact that any toxin would be far to diluted to have any effect on the creature.
"This has gone long enough councilor Asparagus, and I meant to say that." Dash added with a smirk. "First off, you attacked us we defended ourselves. Not our fault you lead a sheep to the slaughter. Secondly, the claims about unauthorised humans on the Citadel was your fault, you abducted them from their planet. They simply escaped right cuz?"
"Just like my Favourite uncle said, you abducted us and tried to experiment on us. Isn't that against one or more of your own laws?"
"You should be glad no human lives were lost during your little skirmish." Jasmine added.
"What do you mean no human lives lost?" Asked Tevos. "There is clear video evidence that suggest many have died."
"Well you see councilors, we humans have an ability. It has been roughly 4 000 years since it was perfected by all the species. Duplication" Jasmin explain and duplicated herself during he explanation. "Is a common ability used. When used, any one of them can be killed as long as one remains, the person will survive."
"That certainly is a useful skill, would it be possible for-" the councilor was interrupted before she could go any further.
"No, we won't be sharing any of our abilities with other races, as you know this ability is genetic and it requires a DNA pulse from a host to not become viral." They gave her a look that wanted to know how she knew that they knew. "Come off your high horses, we are far superior to you in all aspects. Except that, Tucker had told you that earlier and we have hacked your systems and looked at all your data on us. A mortal has no qualms with an Immortals affairs, the opposite however cannot be said."
The smirk on Sam's face was large and it only grew when she said the last bit. She idly wondered when Danny was going to make his grand entrance to this little meeting of theirs. She knew he had training in negotiation that they needed right now. She also knew she shouldn't be flaunting around their abilities like this, but she didn't care, she just wanted to be the better aliens for once. Afer all the time humans were attacked, what harm would it do if they were the superior beings for once?
"So there is no possible way to kill you?" Asked the Turrain
"I am afraid not. You would not understand how it feels to live forever without the basic needs of a normal organism. We do not need sleep or nourishment of any kind. There are a few groups of humans who are able to die, but they live for 700 to 800 years now. It really is sad to have a beat friend for 594 years then she dies." Tucker said
"It must be a lonely existence than." Commented the matriarch.
"It isn't so lonely with 1.4 million other Nephilim around Sol." Tucker said
That was all she needed to know, the last thing she wanted to have and it was a reality. There was nothing more powerful than them and they lived forever. It made sense that the Protheans had mentioned them and that they outlived them. She had a golden opportunity now, get them into a council seat and have the moat powerful race in the galaxy, quite possibly the universe as their ally.
"Ah, the ancient Nephilim race, born from power and forever with power. They have no end and no true beginning. They are the darkest of the dark and the brightest of the light. They represent balance." The Asari councilor said.
"Ah, the Prothean description of our race. Yunis did a wonderful job if I may say so. Such a shame what happened to them, it really is." Jasmin said.
"What happened to them?" Asked the councilors.
"Wait, you mean to tell me you took over this place and every other Leviathan made artifact without actually knowing what you were doing? I thought you knew what this was... You have made a grave mistake. I would urge you to research all the technology you can acquire in the next 67 years, because the cycle shall once again start." Sam said and left via portal along with the rest of them.
The three councilors sat there in utter astonishment, trying to figure out what she had meant with that warning. They didn't know what this Leviathan were and what happened to the Protheans, and Leviathan artifact? What was this artifact? The councilors had no idea what to make out of this, and were quite confused and a little scared.
They were about to commence a meeting when a similar portal to the one the advisors had just left opened, except it was black and red with sounds of people and creatures moaning. Nothing was visible inside the portal unlike the other one where they could actually see the people go thru into another dimension. They were made anxious and fearful when they saw golden eyes with red pupils in the portal, slowly the eyes grew brighter as it came closer to the portal from the other side. The security guards were pointing their guns at the portal sitting defensively in front of the councilors.
Slowly a hand came out of it, its fingers were clawed. Then another hand followed and then a foot. The foot was covered in a black boot with similar material to that of the gloves. The legs of the being were muscular and could be seen thru the black pants as it came thru. When it was in full view they were shocked, it looked like a human, but it's ears were pointed and it had fangs. It's hair was brown which seemed normal. The black leather vest was unzipped revealing a sculpted muscular body. Another being stepped out of the portal, but he was larger than the first.
"Sorry we are late councilors, I am Daniel Fenton and James Vega." The man said as his form slowly turned into that of a humans.
His eyes were crystal blue with black pupils, he had raven hair and his hands were not clawed. The man besides him had brown eyes and black hair, but still looked as intimidating as before because of his large muscular body. In fact, they looked even more sinister than before because they knew what one of their forms looked like. It felt like the two simply put on masks to hide their true appearances.
"We brought you a hell crystal, as reparation costs. I think you would find it sufficient as you could learn a lot more about energy manipulation with it. We also brought codex for your race about our development, it does not go into detail and as such we do not divulge our secrets." Danny explained.
"Before we say anything else," James interrupted. "this is our true forms. I am telepathic and can read your thoughts. You cannot hide anything from us."
The Turrain growled, trying not to think about anything incriminating, the Asari however used her abilities to shield her mind. The Salarain knew his thoughts were to confusing to make sense of and was not worried. James however thought differently, he had breached he mental shield and sorted the Salarains thoughts and was currently digging thru the Turrians mind. He gave all the information to Danny that he thought was important.
"It would seem you are the true negotiators here." Tevos, the Asari matriarch said.
"So it would seem Tevos. I see our wives have already made some of our points clear, however there is one thing they did not make clear. We do not wish harm to come to your races, as such we shall give you an emergence communicator to contact us with if you are in dire need. However, do not try to disassemble it or use us for petty political leverage." James said.
"The other thing you should know is, the Protheans were wiped out by a race of sentient machines hell bent on keeping a balance. That is all the master of time will allow is to share with you." Danny informed them.
"As that, we must take our leave. The Quarrian Admirals are expecting us."
"As well as the members of our race, they are waiting to be informed."
"Adios" the two humans said and disappeared in a green mist.
My friend bit me last night after my little episode... Then he hugged me and messed up my hair. He is taller than I am and acts like a brother. I really am sorry about that, University is tought and my parents are paying my fees, and I really dont want to burden them. That bite was really sore, I mean he has those fanglike teeth and I still have the bite mark on my hand.
This chapter was HARD to write, I have tried numerous times to post it, but either the inernet gets screwed up or there is something wrong with this chapter. Finally completed and thanks for your messages and reviews. I really do appreciate it.
