Lemme tell you: this fic has been extremely well received. 115 reviews for 6 chapters? Absolutely stunning. I am so pleased that so many of you have enjoyed those 6 chapters over all these years.
However, I have an important announcement.
After a re-read of what little I have of this fic, I have decided that USUK is just not at all a good fit for the plot - which explains why it became increasingly to keep both of these kids in-character as the fic went on, and why I suddenly became so uninspired by the concept.
I will be deleting this version of The Golden Boy.
I say "this version" because I will be re-writing The Golden Boy as a 1P/2P Hetalia fanfiction, in which Alfred is still Rapunzel, but Arthur is replaced by a character much more suited to that of Flynn Rider: 2P!America (or, as I refer to him, Tommy).
I apologize to any of you who may take this a little hard, as there were many people who seemed to adore this fic, but I just cannot write it in this form any longer. I can't take pride in it.

For those of you unaware of what 2P!Hetalia is: have you ever played Super Smash Brothers? Say you choose to play as Link (1P, or first player). Your friend/family member (2P, or second player) also chooses to play as Link, but because you must be able to tell the difference between the two Links, the second player must choose Link in another color option.
This is 2P!Hetalia in a nutshell. The 2P characters are essentially different character options for the same character, given their own separate personalities and lives.
I ship 1P/2P America very, very, very hard. Worryingly so.
So: rest assured that this may become the best fic I've written yet.
