Magic School had grown since Leo had started running it, it was now a private school that hosted students from all over the globe, causing the school to grow not only in variety but in size and staff, the school grew a cafeteria and more dorms, literally, the school just self-built to host the students, along with different class rooms for new subjects like white-lighter class, which was an idea Paige and Leo had come up with, since a lot more which-lighters were popping up around the world since Piper and Leo's marriage. Along with all the other changes appeared a beautiful garden behind the school that seemed endless. Since magic school was created on a different plain not to be seen by human eyes and to be out of human reach, no one really knew where the garden had come from, but after inspected, Leo proclaimed that the school must have created it along with everything else in order to please the students it hosted, and offer them fresh air.
In the middle of the garden surrounded by tall cherry trees full of flowers, that covered them off from praying eyes, was a beautiful water fountain, where a lot of famous witches, mages and wizards from magic history and even a few Greek-goddesses were sculptured on it. A few feet away was a white metal bench, with ivy growing up its legs and tangled on the benches' back. It had been there that Stephan and Patricia had met for the second time, almost 2 years ago, and with the passing of time and the regularity of their meetings there it had become their place.
Patricia arrived to find the place empty, with a small sigh she carelessly dropped her bag on the bench and made her way to the fountain, she rested her right hand on the fountain as she watched a cherry-blossom fall from a tree and land onto the crystal clear water held by the fountain. She smiled as she picked up the flower gently brought it to her nose and the placed it back on the water, cherry-blossoms had always been her favorite flower, another reason for this place to be one of her favorites as well.
All of a sudden Patricia was brought out of her thoughts when a hand covered her eyes and another grasped her left hand, intertwined their fingers, a mouth hovering over her ear, and a chest pressed against her back.
"Guess who?" A male voice whispered huskily in her ear.
"Um… I don't know" She whispered back teasingly "Maybe Henry Jr? … or maybe even Peter?" She questioned holding in her laughter as a smile played on her lips.
"I would die if we were siblings." He whispered, his hot breath tickling her ear, until his mouth moved when he started planting small kisses up the side of her neck. Patricia's breath go caught in the back of her through as she took a quick intake of air in shook and surprise, for she really wasn't expecting that.
"Stephan." She called out in a low voice, dragging out his name, as if half-annoyed and half-pleased by his attitude, before she turned her body around to face him.
His arms moved to encircle her waist, as she placed hers on his chest, keeping them at enough distance for them to get a good look at each other.
"Hello." He smiled, pecking her on the cheek.
"You're in a good mood…" Patricia both stated and questioned, with a curious smile on her lips.
"That's because I have the most beautiful girl waiting on me." He whispered back, his head down to capture her lips with his, but instead she turned her head almost causing him to kiss her cheek again. His brows frowned in confusion; worry filled his eyes as he bought both of his hand up, each landing gently on one of her shoulders, a thin line overtaking the place of his smile. "What's wrong?" He asked trying to search her face, but she slightly bowed her head, making it quite a difficult task.
"I'm not angry with you… It's just…" Patricia trailed off with a sigh, she really didn't want to fight with him, but she couldn't continue to wonder all the time about what he was hiding from her. "If it's because you're scared that whatever you are hiding is going to hurt me, you can trust me to defend myself. I know how to keep myself safe. I am, after all, the daughter of a Charmed One, and I am a powerful witch all on my own." She stated determination palpable in every word, though she kept her head down, and since Stephan was still trying to see her face, without forcing her to look up, neither of them noticed the tips of her hair turning a light tinge of red.
"Patricia I know you are. I know what you are capable of, but …" He started only to have her interrupt him, this time looking up to meet his eyes with hers, and Stephan was caught off guard by the indomitable look they held.
"That's my point Stephan!" She exclaimed. "You know me! You know who my parents are, you know the names of my siblings, you know the extent of my power, you know almost everything about me,… and I know nothing" her voice started wavering slightly, her eyebrows knitting slightly "and I know nothing about your past, your family, your power capability, nothing… I'm your girlfriend for over a year… I should know so much more than I do about you!" She stated taking a step away from a shocked Stephan and taking a seat on the metal bench.
"Patricia, please." Stephan begged for her to drop the subject, to cooperate, to trust him; as he took a seat next to her on the bench, his body turned towards her, but he didn't touch her, in fear that she would pull back once more. "I wish nothing more than to tell you." He stated in a low voice, full of repressed emotions as his eyes turned slightly somber for a split second. It wasn't commune for him to show such weaknesses in front of him, well in truth it was quite rare for him to show his weaknesses what so ever.
"Do you really? Because from where I stand, it doesn't seem that way at all!" Patricia counter attacked, her voice full of raw emotion she wasn't willing to show, despite the slight crack in her voice towards the end of her phrase.
Stephan's gaze shifter from her to the fountain as he got up and walked towards it gripping its edges tightly with both of his hands, and staring solemnly and guiltily at his own reflection in the clear water, he was scared of what the next word to leave her lips would be.
Patricia shook her head slightly, holding back her tears barely, and looked over at Stephan, not noticing that her hair was now adorned with a large amount of aqua-blue colored highlights.
"I'm right, aren't I?" Patricia asked him in a low voice which cracked slightly. "Whatever makes you leave for all those weeks at a time, whatever you're hiding from me… you don't want to tell me." She stated her voice increasing in volume. "Was it all a lie?" She questioned harshly at his back, not careering that her tears were now falling, she was too hurt to care. "Was I just a distraction from whatever your hiding? A way to spend the time? You never even loved me?" She screamed at him, tears falling faster by the second, as she fought hard to hold back her sobs, her heart beating so fast it was painful.
"Don't. You. Dare. Say. That." Stephan spit out each word between gritted teeth, causing Patricia to stop her rant.
Stephan stood up straight and closed his eyes holding back his own unshed tears, which he refused to let leek. "Don't you even think that!" He rawer, truly fighting to contain his rage, as he turned towards he so focused on her tearful eyes that the strands of blue in hair went totally unnoticed. "You could never just be a distraction, or a pass time! And don't ever believe that I don't love you. Truth be told I think those words were the most truthful words to ever leave my mouth." He stated pulling her up, grateful that she didn't pull away from him. He used his thumbs to clean her tears. "I want to tell you but I can't. I just really can't." He stated in a low voice.
"Then when?" She questioned, her eyes gazing into his.
"Soon you'll know everything." He replied, closing his eyes to hide the pain they held. "But for now please, don't ask." He whispered to her, pleading her to agree with his eyes. "I need you." He whispered so low that if it weren't for her seeing his lips move, she wouldn't have been sure if he had spoken at all.
"You'll have to start telling me something, very soon." She stated resolutely, "But for now, I'll trust you." She whispered lowly.
Stephan pressed his lips to hers, cupping her cheek in one hand and holding her too him, around the waist in the other, as one of her hands grasped a hand full of his shirt, and the other grasped some of his plantain blond hair at the back of his head, pulling him closer as he deepened the kiss both of their eyes closed savoring the moment.
The image off them was showed in a pool of water as a brown haired girl, the same on that was watching Peter a few days before, shook her head slightly. "He fell for her." She whispered as objectively as she could, though a slight emotion was hidden within the well-kept indifference. She observed as Patricia's hair turned all a bright pink, the woman let out a breath of air as she dropped her hand in the water, rippling up the image until it disappeared completely, and the woman looked down at her own refection in the pool of crystal clean water.
