Chapter 4
The next morning Kevin awoke replaying the events that occurred the day before. He couldn't believe that he actually went for it and kissed a certain sock headed dork. He was joyful to say the least that not only did Double D kissed him back, but he also may return his feelings toward the jock. Suddenly it dawned on him though that he promised the dork he would prove to him his feelings were true and that this wasn't a prank. There was one problem though, how was he going to prove to his secret crush that this wasn't a prank without outing himself to the whole school. Sure Nat, Nazz, and Rolf knew of his sexuality and they were fine with it, but what of the other kids and his teammates would they be accepting of him? Far as Kevin knew of there wasn't any other gay kids in the school, except for Nat but his reputation wasn't nearly as important as Kevin's and besides Nat's not the guy to care what others think of him. Kevin kind of admired that trait about Nat, but he would never tell his teal headed friend that for fear it would only inflate his ego even more. Kevin thought to himself, "This is going to be a long day."
The school day went by uneventful for Kevin. He hadn't seen his crush at all that day not even at lunch. He had hoped that he would have made it on time that morning to catch him at his locker but there was no such luck. It wasn't until they were seated in their last class which happened to be a home economics class. Due to Double D having an advance class schedule and Kevin having a standard one, they only shared this one elective. Upon entering the class he spotted the sock head seated at his desk reading a book on insects. Passing by to take his seat he decided to strike up a conversation with him. "Sup Double Doofus," he said.
"Salutations Kevin," he replied back with his trademark gapped smile.
"So listen I was wondering if you aren't doing anything today, if you wanna you know hangout?" asked Kevin rather nervously.
"That would be enjoyable Kevin, how about you come to my house after practice and we shall commence hanging out then."
"Sweet Dude." And with that Kevin resume taking his seat next to Nat and Nazz.
"So what were you and Double Delicious talking about, huh?" asked Nat
"Nothing, just asked did he wanna hangout is all."
Nat then grabbed Nazz around the neck and said "Awe our baby is growing up Nazz, ain't it precious?"
"Chill dude."
At that the teacher walked in signaling the start of class but Kevin couldn't concentrate as he was ready to get through this class and practice so he could spend some time with the dork, his DORK!
