Once when the universe was first created and when humans were first born from the hands of Prometheus, there was a god born from the king and queen of the titans Cronus and Rhea. The god was named Zeus. When Zeus was a baby, he was so loud that his mother called on her mother, the primordial goddess of the earth Gaia, to call on the Kouretes. Every time baby Zeus cried the Kouretes broke out in a tribal dance and clanged their swords/spears on their shields and drowned out Zeus's crying.
When Zeus hit his prime he fed his father an emetic (in some myths, a wild mustard plant in other myths) to disgorge his five siblings because his father was the worst King of the universe. His siblings were called, in order from oldest to youngest: Hestia, Demeter, Hera, Hades, and Poseidon. Then after Zeus got his sibling back he freed the cyclopes and Hekatonkheires (hundred-handed ones) from their prison in Tartarus, the deepest abyss in the underworld. The cyclopes designed and crafted the Lightning bolt of Zeus, the Trident of Poseidon, and the Helm of Darkness of Hades as gratitude. The trident is the most symbolic of the weapons because of it's history in all the myths (not all of them greek). The Lightning bolt of Zeus was very deadly because it sends more than 400,000 volts of electricity to whatever it touches. The Trident of Poseidon can make tsunamis and earthquakes just by touching water or the earth. And last but not least let's talk about the Helm of Darkness of Hades. The Helm of Darkness generates fear to other beings other than the wearer. It also makes the wearer invisible and immaterial by turning the wearer into shadows.
Then when the three godly brothers got their weapons from the cyclopes they went through the titanomachy. The titanomachy was a 10 year long war between the gods of Olympus and the Titans of Orthys. The three godly brothers had been battling the titans along with their sisters: Hestia, Demeter, and Hera. They also had their children on their side. After ten long years of war and the Earth being almost decimated the gods of Olympus won the war.
When Zeus became king of the universe and king of the gods his grandmother Gaia the primordial of the earth for told that one day his son would overthrow him and out of fear and paranoia he swallowed his first wife Metis, the titaness of wise counsel. Then after a few years Zeus started to get these really bad migraines and he had another god crack his head open with a hammer and Athena Goddess of wisdom and battle strategy spang out of Zeus' head in full armor and weapons.
