As the golden sun peeked its head over the bitter brown mountains, a tall dark haired boy sat up from a mattress. He had been awake for the past 15 minutes, but he didn't want to sit up. He was lazy and he didn't want to stir his 30 minute lover from her slumber, that would be 'mother fuckin' rude' as he would've said. The room was messy, lined with clothes that had been strewn about and the person beside him was still deep in her sleep. He rustled around in his jacket which was strewn to the left, and pulled out a smoke, looking for the lighter on the floor. When he couldn't find it in the midst of their clothes, he growled in disbelief. "Shit, where does this chick keep her stuff?" He pulled back a blanket, a pair of boxers around his waist and his tanned skin still warm and slick with sweat from the night previous. He stood up and groaned as he rummaged through her drawers, her body stirring slightly. He kept his eyes on her. He didn't want her to wake up with him being awake. He flipped through her drawer full of panties, not even caring to inspect the fine silks this girl had. He reached down and with great success, found a black sabbath lighter. Man this girl had a good taste in music, thats for sure. Sweeping dark hair from his face, revealing a silvery piercing over his left eye brown, he flicked on the lighter, and held it towards the the roll of Mary Jane. Smoke billowed from his lips so elegantly and so smoothly, an ocean of grey seas flowing into the room then inevitably fading into oblivion. He repeated his smoking a few times before the blunt was useless, throwing it away and opening a window. He was a kind man, especially for what he did. He leaned down and picked up his clothes, tone biceps flexing his oceanic tattoo with the words Remember Love above the beautiful scene of a tsunami wave crashing over a Capricorn.

The girl he had slept with was still sleeping, and as he finished pulling on his clothes he smiled down at her and whispered "Mornin' chika. Sorry I couldn't stay any longer. But theres someone for everyone... And I'm sorry to say, you're not for me." Then, just as a gentleman would, he leaned down and kissed her forehead, lightly brushing back her blonde hair. The girl turned over, mumbling something under her breath. He tiptoed out of her house, taking the key and locking the door behind him, pushing the key in back through the open window. He began walking back to his house, the sun now creating a beautiful orange in the sky as it began picking past the darkened night sky. The air was still cold and brutal, but his jacket stayed over his shoulder. His thick hispanic skin was able to block out most of the cold, which he enjoyed. To him it was funny he didn't know where he came from. All he remembered is that it was somewhere where he spoke tons of latin and Italian and that a lot of people seemed to fear him and his dad. His dad wasn't really a very nice man, but he wasn't a very bad dad. His dad was big and important to a lot of people, especially the sad people. He gave them stuff to make them feel better and happier.
His apartment came into view very quickly and he grinned brightly. Usually it took a few hours to walk back to his apartment but this girl seemed to be very close. As he made his way out he noticed a young girl stumbling with her backpack, like a newborn deer on stilts. He cocked his head and walked towards her. Her long strawberry blonde hair was pulled into a tight pony tail and her thin body was mostly hidden by an large army green overcoat. She seemed like she was going to fall at any minute, her legs wobbling madly. He rushed towards her and grabbed her shoulder very lightly in his large bear hands, hoping not to hurt her. His large orchid eyes smiled at her "Hey, chika, are you alright?" he asked, his voice very raspy from his early morning smoke. He leaned over to see her better. She was about half his size, causing him to need to crouch like he was talking to a small child. The young girl stared, startled and confused by this large, handsome man wanting to help her. He cocked his head while she struggled to formulate words. Her sentence came out scrambled and stuttered with some useless words even popping in. The large man just grinned and stood up, still staying close to her height. He touched her back pack, picking it up by the top strap, "Is this heavy for you? I can take it if you want me to." The young girl kept staring and stuttering on her words before finally stopping, responding with a quivering "Yes." The oversized boy smiled even wider and took the backpack which felt like it was full of bricks rather than books. He huffed out a thick breath and the young girl began playing with her pony tail, trying to fit in a thank you. The taller boy began walking, his sturdy legs able to carry him without wobbling all over the place, when he realized the young girl still firmly planted in the spot he found her. "Are you coming or what?" he inquired childishly, the sweet tone of his voice ringing as clear as birds sing. The girl jolted at the sound of his voice, nodding -up, down, back to center- before rushing over to his large and thick side.
The silence rang clear with the echo of only a few cars passing by them on the road. The older boy glanced at the girl every few seconds before finally uttering joyfully "I'm Gamzee. Who'd you be lil' missy?" the two continued walking and the small girl replied, not looking at him, scared senseless of him "N-Nepeta..." Gamzee smiled at her and cocked his head "That name is mother fuckin' beautiful." He glanced ahead once more and noticed a familiar body and backpack. He chuckled and rested a hand on his hip "Well ain't this a mother fuckin' party. Hey! Kar-bro!" The boy ahead of them turned his head slightly at the noise. He knew the voice, though it was slightly muffled by Chop Suey blaring in his right ear. He groaned as he recognized the stoner boy and slumped down even more, hoping he wouldn't be recognized even more than he was. Gamzee refused to give up though as he ran up a bit faster with the young girl by his side. "Hey Karkat!" The tall and large boy grabbed his shoulder and twirled him around like a kid twirls one of those cool sticks with the little sparkly shit on the end. The smaller boy glared at the elder one. "What the fuck do you want, Gamzee?" He hissed venomously to him. Gamzee didn't see the threat at all and kept smiling like the stoned man he was "I want you to meet my new friend, Nepeta!"
The small girl looked up from her feet she had so avidly been paying attention to and her eyes gleamed as the boy glared back. He huffed menacingly but she felt her heart throb deep in her chest, like she had known him and that they were meant for one another. She stuttered with a small smile, raising her hand to wave gently "H-hello,"/div
The older boy observed her back, feeling she was attractive as well but he knew something wasn't right about how he felt towards her. He gave her back a bitter "Hi," and returned his glare to Gamzee "Is that all, you dipshit? Or did you want to continue with your brain fucked madness?" Gamzee shrugged and patted the young girls head "I thought we could walk to your mother fuckin' school together. Would that be okay, chikita?" Gamzee looked down at the girl and she nodded again-up, down, back to center-. Karkat sent him another glare, but knew there was no point arguing with him, he'd get what he wanted however he could. "Fine, just stay behind me. I don't want to smell you and your foul fucking mary jane."
And so, the three walked until they had made it onto school grounds where Gamzee handed Nepeta her backpack and wished them both luck as they walked into the school house.
