"Kotori-Kun!" the ginger haired ran up to her friend and hugged him. "Honoka-chan~" he replied, wrapping his arms around him. They stayed like that for a few seconds.

"Did you see him...?"

Kotori nodded. He sat down and crossed his legs. "He's stubborn as ever" he said remembering what just happened a few hours ago.

"Hehe" she giggled. "He's always been like that"

"Yeah, he needs to quit that" the ash haired replied annoyed.

"You don't look so happy…?"

She got worried and grabbed his hands.

"It's because Umi's stubborn and I'm in a mess" he said sounding troubled.

"Mess…?"

"Well...you see…"

Kotori explained to Honoka everything that had happened until now and how frustrating it was to be involved in a situation he didn't ask to be put in.

"So…" she grabbed her chin " let me get this straight...you work for Yazawa-san, and its a job your mom help you get" he nodded

"And...you met his daughter Nico-san, who is Umi's fiance...but who is dating someone else now?" he nodded again.

" and even though Nico-san is dating someone else, Umi is still going after her…?"

He nodded again.

"That makes no sense!" she said lifting her arms in frustration

"It doesn't, right!" he replied.

She shook her head. "Why is he doing this? Maybe he does love her…" she said sounding depressed.

"No no no" Kotori grabbed her hands, she looked to him " he loves you, i know"

"How can you-"

"Because he got really excited when I told him you were here" he said with a smile. Honoka wasn't sure so she looked away.

"But still he wants to marry her" she said letting go of his hands and getting up.

"That's because he doesn't know you still love him…"

Honoka sighed. "I don't know Kotori...it's been long...and we didn't end in a good note either"

He sighed, he knew it was true, and that partly it was his fault.

"I will help you you two get back together"

Some days after.

"So everything is good to go…."

Maki was looking down at his phone nervously, he kept on checking the time, tapping his finger on the device making his friend anxious. "Stop it nya!" he complained.

"Eh…? Ah… I'm sorry"

"You needn't be so nervous, Maki-kun~" the purple haired said, she was standing at the end of the room, waiting for Nico to come.

"Are you sure, she'll come? I mean what if she got plans already and-"

"She'll come" Nozomi replied with a smile.

"Oh there she is~" she said looking out the door. Immediately Maki got up, Rin tried to calm him down but it didn't work.

Nozomi had texted Nico that she wanted to hang out with her, she asked if she had time that weekend and that if they could meet at her house.

At first Maki didn't like the idea because Umi could appear and ruin everything but Nozomi assured him he wouldn't be there because he had a business meeting to attend in another city.

As for Eli, well, Nozomi told Nico that she wanted a girls day and she shouldn't bring the blond.

Nico didn't care, but Eli didn't like it that much because he wanted to spend time with her. Being in different majors cause them to not see each other that often. Nico told him she would make it up to him later.

Rin felt relieved that he wouldn't have to do anything to stop Eli, but seeing Maki like this was driving him crazy.

"Maki-kun!" the red haired looked at him "pull yourself together! You've been waiting for this moment for a long time, nya! Don't mess it up!"

Maki nodded. "I won't!" he said determined.

Nozomi just looked at them and smiled.

"Ok...guys here she comes...Rin, you-" she shen turned to see him, he wasn't there anymore.

"He left…" Maki said pointing at the open window.

'So not only does he talk like a cat, he also behaves like on hahaha how cute' Nozomi thought to herself and smiled.

"Ok, Maki, it's all up to you now"

Maki gulped, oh it was finally happening, he will finally tell her how we felt about her.

Maybe, just maybe he could still get her back.

"Nozomi" the black haired said, getting close to Nozomi. "Nicochii~" the purple haired hugged her friend. Nico returned the gesture.

"So what do you wanna do?" Nico asked separating herself from Nozomi.

They were both standing outside her room.

"Actually, Nicochiii, there's something I need you to do first…"

The purpled haired pushing Nico inside her room.

"Ehh?! Ouch!" Nico complained as she landed on the floor.

"I'm sorry~ but you need to clear things up with someone, I'll come by later~"

Nozomi closed the door and locked it.

Nico was confused. "What the hell!" she yelled. She quickly got up and tried to open the door, but it was pointless. She yelled for Nozomi, but she was downstairs preparing some tea for her and Rin.

The maids that passed by heard the girl yelling but they were instructed by Nozomi to not open the doors under any circumstances.

Nico kept on knocking and yelling but nobody came to her aid.

She sighed "what the hell!" she complained again.

She still hadn't noticed the red haired standing behind her.

"Nico-chan…"

She turned and saw him there. "Maki…?" she asked confused.

He gulped, gosh, he was really nervous.

"Do you...wait...what is going?" she grabbed her temple, closed her eyes and breath slowly.

"Are you mad…?" he asked worried.

She opened her eyes and shook her head. "Not at you… why did she have to push me! Dammit…"

He fidget.

She sighed. "Anyways…" she felt nervous, she hadn't been alone with Maki in a long time.

"She said we needed to clear things up, so…" she sat on the bed. He followed. "I'm all ears…"

He cleared his throat. "I…" he looked down, he felt really nervous.

"It's ok, take your time" he grabbed his hand and smiled. He felt courage and held her hands a bit tighter making her blush.

"That day...of graduation…" he stopped and looked at her, she indicated him to continue. " I actually wan-wanted to confess to you…"

Her crimson eyes widened but she didn't say anything.

"I-I've been in love with you for a long time...but, but I was scared you wouldn't reciprocate my feelings…" he looked down, still he was holding her hands.

"I told Rin, and he said I needed to confess even if I got rejected I would feel better...so I decided to tell you in a song…" he gulped again "when I found out you were engaged, when I met him...I felt really hurt" he bit his lower lip. Nico could see rage in his eyes. "I was really mad...I let it get the best of me and I took it out on you without letting you explain, I'm sorry"

"Maki, I-"

"Wait, let me finish please"

She nodded.

"Rin explained to me how dumb I was and so I tried to confess to you again at the beach but Nozomi appeared out of nowhere and ruined it!" he complained. "I want you to know that I don't feel anything for her…"

Nico was speechless, he was being honest with her, That was rare sight to see.

"I know you're dating Eli…"he said with a sad tone, she looked down, these past minutes Eli never crossed her mind. Being here with him was reviving the feelings she still held in her heart but that she had been trying hard to disappear.

"But I know you like me!" he grabbed her shoulders, surprising her. "I-I know you love me…"

"How cocky" she joked

"Nico...I know I've been doing it wrong, I know I've been terrible to you...and that I probably don't deserve you...but I can't, I can't give you up."

Nico felt her heart beat faster. "Nico-chan, I love you. You're the person most special to me in this world and I don't want to lose you. I know you're engaged and that you're dating Eli, but none of that matters, because you and I know both know I'm the one you want to be with, I'm the one you love. And...and nobody can change that"

I am happy to say that I will finish this story, lol, eventually sometime this year. I told myself I would finish everything I've started so bear with me, and let's hope I stick to my word.
