CHAPTER TWO: CONFESSION.
INTRODUCING:
WARNING: ANGST AND SOME FLUFF.
RATED FOR VIOLENT FLASHBACKS, SOME PERVERTED TALK AND LEMONS LATER IN THE STORY. ENJOY.
It was a night Kiba would never forget as long as he lived. He had been walking home from his family kennels when he saw her. She was beaten to a pulp it seemed and he could see that her chakra was working to heal the worst of it but Sakura still looked bad.
Without a thought, the dog ninja had picked her up and carried her home with him. Once he had arrived, Kiba had treated her wounds as gently as he could and despite not knowing crap about human medicine, his knowledge of animal medicine seemed to be enough.
As soon as Sakura regained consciousness, Kiba told her where she was and how she got there. Sakura tearfully explained how she got to be in the condition she was in after he was finished.
"Why did you stay if he beat you all the time?" Kiba asked. "Sasuke needed me to love him. I tried to love him. But he knew I didn't love him anymore. And I suffered for it." Sakura replied. "If he knew you didn't love him anymore, why didn't you fight back when he hit you?" Kiba demanded.
Sakura smiled sadly. "As long as I didn't fight back, Sasuke didn't usually hurt me too much. But if I ever tried to fight back, he'd beat me worse than if I had just taken the beating. I didn't want to die so I took the beatings." She replied. "That's stupid. Taking the beatings didn't help much tonight." Kiba retorted.
"That's because I told him I was leaving him because of the beatings. That's why Sasuke tried to kill me tonight." Sakura replied. "Why were you leaving him?" Kiba asked. Sakura blushed. "I told him that I couldn't make it work anymore. I was tired of being beaten for something I couldn't help. If he hadn't left for revenge, I would have loved him even to this day but he left and I got over him." She replied.
"You can stay here tonight if you want but tomorrow we're going to report Sasuke to Tsunade-sama. You should have done so as soon as he hit you the first time." Kiba said. "Thank you." Sakura replied.
"Out of curiosity, who did you tell Sasuke you fell in love with? If not him then who?" Kiba asked. Sakura blushed again and looked down at her hands. "It was you." She replied. Kiba sat back on his heels with a stunned look on his face. "Me?" He echoed. Sakura nodded. "Yeah." She replied.
In the background the radio was playing the end of a song that neither knew would become their song.
Because I'm broken when I'm open
And I don't feel like I am strong enough.
Because I'm broken when I'm lonesome
And I don't feel right when you're gone away.
Sakura smiled bitterly as she heard the last stanza of the song because it described her situation so perfectly it seemed.
Here's Chapter One reloaded. I know it's vastly different from what I originally posted but I hope it's better and people like it more.
