Warning: Spoilers.
Disclaimer: I own nothing.
There was no source of light. None at all.
Not that there needed to be. Sasuke felt the darkness was more welcoming than the sunshine. Every home was shut, as if a mere door and a lock was able to keep danger away.
It was unbearably quiet…he was more than sure Naruto was anxious by now, -that boy had always been an enemy of silence- and Sakura was calming him down.
She was probably hoping, praying, that he wouldn't come. She was always too hopeful, too weak. He made a point to go the opposite way.
The roads led to nowhere, -what was their purpose anyway?- and the leaves danced in the air.
No shinobi were visible, although that was most certainly expected, and no chakra was felt. Did they think masking their chakra would help? Foolish little Leaf. Always foolish.
Sasuke had a mission to complete.
I'm finishing it this time.
"Tell me, Sasuke-san...why did you avoid that one area so silently?"
He looked to the left, looking back at the lit village.
"Sometimes actions don't belong with a reason, I'm afraid."
Yeah, another midnight one. Feedback appreciated.
Until Next Time,
Darkofthenight.
