Lily/Lysander
June 2027
He saw her sitting quietly at a table with her parents watching her cousin and her new husband dance, and he decided to take a chance. Walking up to the table Lysander asked, "Lily, do you want to dance."
"I would like that very much." She said and allowed him to lead her to the dance floor.
"So how are you doing?" Lysander asked after they had been dancing for a minute or so.
"Fine. I am happy for them. It was fairly obvious in their fifth year that he was falling in love with one of his best mates, not his best mate's little sister. I guess I should have gone full out with the singing Valentine if I wanted to repeat tradition." Lily said and Lysander could see in her demeanor that she really didn't mind at all. "What do you think of Roxanne's new man?"
"I am glad I am not him." Lysander admitted.
Lily smiled at him. Lysander was so sweet and so much like his mother in temperament. She was glad that he was no longer hung up on her party girl cousin.
"Lily, can I ask you a personal question?" He asked.
"Sure." Lily said.
"Would you like to go out with me on a date?" He asked.
"Yes." Lily said smiling brightly at him.
"Good." Lysander said. "I have another question."
"Go ahead." She responded.
"Would you mind if I fell in love with you?" He asked her.
"No, not at all." She said blushing slightly.
"Good, cause I think that will be very easy to do." He said.
"Right back at you." Lily said as they continued to dance and spent the rest of the evening in each other's company.
