Kurama poured a cup of steaming black coffee into his mug and poured a little creamer and sugar into it and stirred it around. It turned from dark brown almost black to a milk chocolate color. He picked it up and sipped it before going up to his room and sitting on his bed and setting the coffee aside and pulling down a book and reading.
Hiei jumped from tree to tree hurrying to get to Kurama's. He finally reached the kitsunes house and opened his window to his bedroom and slid in. Kurama looked up from his book and took a sip of the coffee. "hello Hiei." He said.
"Kitsune." Hiei said sitting down and watching Kurama set the mug aside. Hiei looked in the mug and blinked. "What is that?!" he demanded pointing to the cup.
Kurama looked up and smiled. "That would be coffee."
"Coffee?" Hiei said raising an eyebrow.
"Coffee." Kurama said sitting up.
"What is coffee?" Hiei said.
"A drink." kurama said.
Hiei huffed. "I can see that kitsune but what is it made of?"
"Ground up coffee beans." Kurama said.
Hiei blinked at the liquid. "What does it taste like?"
"Well...you can add creamer and sugar to make it taste better....um...but they sell it in flavors like mocha or french vanilla." Kurama said.
"May i try some?" Hiei asked trying to use manners so he didn't seem demanding.
"You won't like it Hiei. It isn't sweet." Kurama said knowing Hiei had a thing for sweet things.
"hn fox you should know that i don't just only eat or drink sweet things!" Hiei said.
Kurama thought about it. "Okay. I'll make you some." Kurama went downstairs and began making coffee for the koorime. Hiei watched until Kurama poured the steaming liquid in the cup and handed it over.
Hiei sniffed it. It smelled okay... he brought it to his lips and took a sip and immediatly spat it back out and shook his head. it was way too strong. He shoved the cup away.
"Come on Hiei you have to at least try it with creamer and sugar." Kurama said pulling the cup to him. He poured some sugar in and then a bit more creamer.
Hiei sighed and took the cup and took a sip and got a disgusted look on his face and shook his head.
Kurama sighed then the phone rang. "hiei wait here." Kurama left.
Hiei eyed the sugar. He looked at his cup tainted with the creamer. He drained it and got another cup and filled it up and went and poured a 1/2 cup of suagr in and stirred it with a spare spoon. He took a sip and shook his head, too strong still. He added another 1/2 cup of sugar. He stirred it. Took a sip. A little better a bit more sugar. He poured another 1/2 cup in. He took a sip. Perfect!
Hiei continued sipping savoring the taste. Kurama came back in a and blinked.
"I like coffee...with 2 1/2 cups of sugar." Hiei said.
Kurama laughed. "Let's just say you like to have a little coffee with your sugar."
"Hn. Doesn't matter the coffee is still good." Hiei said.
