His curt dismissal of her had hurt. She may be dead in this reality, she may understand why- she was an anomaly to him- but it still hurt. After all, it was common knowledge how she felt about him; it was one of those 'everyone knows but no-one mentions it' things and everyone was pretty sure he felt the same way.

Back in their reality, even at SGC he was only a phone call away and she saw him every couple of months, sometimes more. But stranded here she couldn't see him, and wasn't even sure she wanted to-he was different. She missed him, when she allowed herself to think about him.
