Confident in his plan, and the backup plans he'd formulated, L takes a sip of his tea. "You're mine."

"You got rid of the FBI agent rather nimbly, didn't you?" Ryuk asks, not even trying to hide his amusement. "Humans are so amusing."
"Not just one, but thirteen." he can't help but muse, pulling the papers from the envelope. "I got that idiot Raye Penber to kill all of his fellow investigators, as well."
"Oh?" Ryuk turns his attention to the television. "Do explain."
"Your move, L." Light smirks, clearly ignoring the shinigami.

A fairly discouraged "yes" comes from the computer screen.
"Thank you, Watari." L turns away from the computer, and appears to be staring into space. "Kira. Just what are your motives?"
