Author's Note: I just wanted to write some cute, fluffy love. So I did! xD
Disclaimer: If I owned PoT, chances are I wouldn't be writing fanfiction.
Snowflakes
A single snowflake drifted down through the chilly air, catching the light from the moon. For a single moment, it almost seemed suspended in air, before finally succumbing to gravity, and landing in a branch far above Kirhara Akaya's head.
Yukimura smiled at the sight, before turning his attention back to his kouhai. Akaya hated the cold, and it showed in the way he was shivering violently underneath the majestic tree. His round, bright green eyes were even brighter with the cold, and his breath came out in quick clouds of white. Yukimura's smile widened, and his footsteps quickened.
"Akaya, why are you doing your homework out here, instead of inside?" Although Yukimura knew the answer, he still felt like asking just to see his cute kouhai blush. Akaya was known to be embarrassed by the slightest show of affection, and Niou had taken advantage of this fact by making very sexual comments about some tennis players in general - including Yukimura. Which was why Akaya had escaped outside, so that his senpais did not get to his blushing cheeks and flushed face.
"No reason…the snow looked nice…" Akaya purposely avoided eye contact, knowing that if he looked Yukimura in the eyes, his face would be even redder - and it wouldn't be from the cold.
"Really? I thought you hated the snow." Yukimura resisted the urge to outright laugh and Akaya's eyes widened, and then narrowed, trying how to best respond to his buchou's statement.
Deciding that he had made Akaya uncomfortable enough for now, Yukimura happily sat down next to his kouhai. Akaya looked at Yukimura in surprise, but instead of telling Akaya why he had chosen to sit on a pile of cold, wet snow - Akaya had sat in the only clear place underneath the tree - Yukimura decided to surprise his kouhai.
"I, personally, find the snow beautiful. I love the way the sun shines off of it, letting light dance across the sky. I love the feeling of the cold, crisp air in my lungs, and knowing that there will be a cup of hot chocolate to drink when I want to be warm again. But most of all, I love the way the snow covers up the ground, hiding the dirt and the trash of the world; I love how everything is covered with a layer of pure, clean white. When it snows, it seems as though the world is born again, and I know that when the snow begins to melt, it means that flowers will soon be growing. It means that birds, and plants, and animals - life itself - will soon be rampant again. It means that life is being renewed. And so I love the snow."
Akaya sat completely still, letting Yukimura's words wash over him. He was not sure how to respond to the beautiful allegations his senpai had just presented him with. All he knew was that he didn't like the snow because it was cold and wet and he got sick because he never wore his scarves or gloves and he couldn't play tennis and -
Akaya's green eyes widened in shock, and then slowly closed. From the window, Niou smirked.
"Mura totally owed me for that owe."
"What do you mean?" Marui moved over to the window, then shrugged as he watched his buchou and kouhai make out. "It's really not that big of a deal, Haru. It was only a matter of time…"
"But I'm the one who told him to overload the brat's mind with deep, poetic crap." Niou tucked a white strand of hair behind his ear. "And I got the brat to go outside. You know what this means, right?"
"…No?" Marui guessed, not particularly liking the look on the Trickster's face.
"It means no punishments from Sanada for at least a week! Now come on, let's go steal Yanagi's notebook."
Reviews are greatly appreciated! Come on, you know you want to tell me what you think! And my last story only got 3 reviews…kind of depressing really…xD
