Estranged

Prologue

The year is 831 N.R. Nuovo Regno, Italian for New Kingdom. There are only 1 million people left on the earth.

When the Mayans said the world was going to end on December 21st, 2012 A.D., they weren't fooling around.

I wasn't around for this, obviously, but my great ancestor was. There are always rumors, theories and

questions going on about what really happened that tragic day. But someone knew. My blood ancestor did.

She may not have survived, but the truth did. As I went through the boxes in the basement, I came across a

peculiar looking item. I was had two bound cardboard sheets with dozens thin white rectangles with soft

material. I opened up the front which had the word Diary on it. Inside, written in a foreign-looking scripture,

I could just barely make out the name Melanie Orgavic in blue ink. Intrigued, I flipped open the first page, little

did I know that I held in my hand key information that could change what anyone had previously known before.

Should I make this a story? Please, please, please say yes because I am superdy duperdy excited about writing this!! I was going to write an actual chapter but then I thought my 1st actual chapter should be in Melanie's POV. Well i hope you liked your present! :)
