If Everyone

I read The Giver and it got me thinking about utopias. They don't exist in my opinion because we are all human and no one is perfect but we can try and this is what this poem is about. Also i didn't write the first verse, it's from a song by Nickelback.

If Everyone

If everyone cared and nobody cried,

If everyone loved and nobody lied

If everyone shared and swallowed their pride,

Then we'd see the day when nobody died

If they could love like you and me,

Imagine what the world could be

If there was forgiveness in the air,

We could see a world that was so fair

If we could change just one thing,

Look at the power on our wings

If we all smiled and no one sided,

If we all dreamed and no one divided,

If we all listened and went against what's decided,

Then we'd see the day when nobody died

And on the day when nobody dies

The world would stop and laugh for joy
