Hope you enjoy! :D
The last two and a half years of his life, had been the best of the best. Stacy had shown him what it was like to be in love.
Before her he was just a dreamer. He had never loved any girl, had never been in love with anyone really.
Then along came Stacy.
She had swept him off his feet, and he was forever grateful to her for that.
He had lived the best two and a half years of his life by her side. Helping her rehearse for her modeling auditions, going shopping for hours on end with her, and helping her out when she most needed it.
He never had expected her to love him back. And she had. She had walked in on the wrong moment and heard every word that he had said.
And he was glad she had, because now he couldn't imagine his life without her.
*FLASHBACK*
"I'm sorry Jane! But I really have no idea what I'm doing!" Fred said in exasperation. Who would've guessed shopping for engagement rings would be so complicated? There was about fifty different rings to choose from and Fred was clueless.
Jane had agreed to come with Fred for the simple fact she didn't want him to mess this up. She knew how much Fred cared for Stacy, and she was after all her best friend. She knew what she would like in a engagement ring.
"Honestly Fred, as long as it has a diamond in it, Stacy will be happy. We girls do love our diamonds." Jane said. She wasn't trying to rush him, but in an hour she was due in court.
"How about princess cut? Stacy would love that right?"
Jane sighed. "You never read up on diamonds? You never just asked what she would like in a ring?"
"I didn't want to ruin the surprise!" Fred said.
"So besides the ring, where are you going to propose? It has to be romantic. Stacy is going to remember this moment for the rest of her life."
"I know she will. That's why I wanted to get a nice ring that she'll like. As for a place, I was just going to take her out to dinner and ask her there."
"Whatever you do Fred. Don't put it in her food. There's nothing less romantic than a girl choking on her own engagement ring."
That idea was out. They continued to browse down the shelves of jewelry. None of the rings seemed good enough for Stacy.
"So lemme get this straight. Not even as Deb, you and Stacy never talked about what you wanted your wedding day to be like?"
"No. We wanted to be engaged to a guy before we got all excited about it."
After going around the counter there times, Fred finally settled on a princess cut ring with more diamonds shaped like hearts on the band.
"Stacy will love this." Jane said.
'I certainly hope so. Shopping for rings is exhausting."
Jane laughed. "Well if you weren't so picky about everything Fred."
"Well I just want it to be prefect. I want her to say yes more than anything."
"If your having doubts, she'll say yes. Promise."
"How do you know?"
"Fred, I have known Stacy since like ever. I know what she likes, and I know she loves you. She'll say yes. Stop worrying about it."
"But where do I propose?" Fred yelped. "If I can't do it over dinner, what do I do? How would you as Deb, wanted Grayson to propose to you?"
Jane was thoughtful for a minute before answering. 'Maybe you could take her to a park and do it there. And think out how you'll ask her to. Don't just ask her to marry you. Make it creative."
Overwhelmed and thinking frantically of how he was going to put it all together he thanked Jane when she dropped him back off at the law firm.
Now if he only knew how to go about proposing to Stacy.
