Chapter 2: Close Encounter with the Stranger Kind
Forestglade woke up a few minutes later and looked around, sitting up, "Where am I? I know I'm still on Earth, but where am I on Earth?" She suddenly heard a voice, "Who are you? Did Zim call you for backup? But you don't look like an Irken . . . What species of alien are you?" She looked over and saw a boy with large glasses and scythe shaped hair, "I'm Forestglade. And no, I'm not an Irken, even though my people are close relatives to the Irken race. Who are you?" "My name is Dib. What are you doing here?" "Well how should I know? I just woke up here!" Forestglade said. "No, I mean why are you on this planet?" Dib asked. "Oh, that's easy. I'm here on my mission which is to . . to . . . I can't remember exactly." Forest said, trying to remember. Dib looked at her with suspicion in his eyes, "How can you not remember your own mission? And how can I trust anything you say?" "I don't expect you to trust me, and before I passed out, I remember that the ejection button was hit and I was shot into the window, which didn't open for some reason." Forest said, looking down at her broken communicator. "I don't see what that has anything to do with you losing your memory." Dib said to Forest. "I hit my head hard, so that probably has a lot to do with it" Forest said and Dib nodded, "Maybe. . ." Dib said then they both looked over to see Membrane standing in the doorway to the kitchen.
