Chapter 2- Hope
Finally on the ARK in the room I had mentioned to the old man, I couldn't help but scream. Blood stained the floors from the nightmare fifty years ago.
"MARIA?"
No response. Proof the nightmare was reality.
Ignoring the fear of the event that occurred many years ago, I continued ahead. Darkness captivated the ARK as I stopped and decided to just wait for the scientist.
Hours later, he arrived, as expected.
He grinned and brushed out his mustache as I gestured toward another deadly weapon made by my creator, Gerald. The Eclipse Canon.
Dr. Eggman simply gasped as I explained the weapon's potential and functions. To be sure he believed my explanations, I shot the moon with the Canon, slicing half of the moon off, leaving a burning rock floating in space from the aftermath in place of the moon.
"So this is what the Eclipse Canon," he paused, "can do…"
I nodded, "With more of the Chaos Emeralds, it can do much more…"
He smirked. Dr. Eggman had only contributed one Emerald and the moon had been almost completely destroyed with such little power. From the glint in his eyes, I could tell he desired more. Much more.
I curled my lip into a smile until a new figure entered the room (A.K.A: Rouge the Bat). As the Doctor announced her alliance with us, I couldn't help but stare at her. She seemed bizarre, yet beautiful in a creepy way.
As she began to speak, the only word I heard leave her mouth was 'jewels'. I tuned out of the conversation as she whined.
Once the three of us had introduced each other, all of us separated to steal the important 'jewels': the Chaos Emeralds.
