A dreary night, one that is a rarity in Ooo, somewhere between frightening and calming. Finn and Jake lay asleep on their beds, hiding under covers and in sleeping bags, too cold to not be covered. Upon waking, the two walk past the windows on their way to the kitchen, totally oblivious to the snowy plains that lie just outside. 'Mornin' Jake' Finn speaks restfully in between yawning, Jake stretches his head around to see Finn stretching his arms and legs, 'morning buddy, sleep well?' Jake asked, to which Finn replied: 'Yeah man, really good. You?' Jake was too busy cooking to reply, he eventually realized Finn had asked him a question and apologized and started telling him about his dream. 'It was weird, Lady Rainicorn was just doing loop-de-loops for about 10 minutes, after which she just went to sleep and then I woke up... what do you think it means?' Jake asked with a hint of worry in his voice, 'I think it means...' Finn started dramatically, worrying poor Jake; '... you shouldn't drink coffee before bed' Finn started to laugh, and eventually Jake joined him. 'I made pancakes, eat up!' Jake spoke, stretching his arm from the stove to the couch, passing Finn the plate, 'MATHEMATICAL!' Finn screamed, Jake seemed pretty happy to hear that. 'Thanks buddy' Finn muffled with his mouth full of pancake, 'you're welcome man, we going adventuring today? I heard of this place called the Horizon, it's a small island just off the coast, I've heard rumors that it has a bottomless pit... and even better... TREASURE!' Finn stared at Jake, a familiar glance in his eyes. 'TREASURE?!' Finn shouted, spitting out the mouthful of pancakes he had onto the floor, 'let's go right now! Where'd you hear this rumor anyways?' 'I don't remember... the Ice King, I think...' replied Jake, slightly annoyed and disappointed, 'well we'll check it out anyways buddy, and if we find it, it'll be awesome.' Finn spoke softly to try and comfort Jake, who had then put fin on his back and began stretching out the window.

Both Finn and Jake were outside, and had feasted their eyes on the untouched winter wonderland that lay before them, they both looked at each other in agreement, the treasure could wait, it's rare to see snow outside the Ice Kingdom. The duo dove straight in the snow and began making forts for their snowball war, they tried before in the Ice Kingdom, but the Ice King always kicked them out; They were nuisances, he said. Finn built a shallow shelter, a small wall (if it could be classed as one), a platform to store his snowballs, a little igloo like building to hide from aerial assaults, and a little tube as a last defense. Jake however had built a more superior fort, he had one building, a square building, big enough for him to stand up in, complete with roof, and a window for him to attack out of.
