Chapter 11
"Edward Elric right?" The inspector asked.

"Yes," Ed said nervously.

Roy could tell he was uncomfortable. Curse the Furher for putting them through this. It was almost cruel.

"So you've encountered this Envy as well?"

"Y-yes.."

"What was the interaction," the man asked getting a pen and paper.

Roy growled, "that's not something we like to talk about," he said.

"Roy..it's fine," Ed said.

"He took the form of someone I trusted, someone who was supposed to help me. He..well, did things to me and then let me go."

"What kind of things?"

"Do you really have to ask," Roy asked slamming his hand down.

"Colonel Mustang if you can't handle this then you will be escorted out, now Mr. Elric I would appreciate it if you went through every detail of that night," he said.

Roy almost lost it but he sat there while his lover told the inspector what happened in every single detail. Ed hadn't even told Roy this..it was awful. Ed started to cry several times but held it together.

When they were done they walked out and sat in the lobby. Al was in there, his armoured body almost looking like it was quivering. Roy could see he was worried about all this.

"Hey Al," he said.

"Hey brother, how are you doing?" He asked.

Al had found out about the rape through all the officers. Since then, he hasn't left Edward's side.

"Oh hey brother, I think I may have found a lead on the stone," he said.

"The stone is a useless ply.. I don't think I could bring myself to use it. You know what it's made of," Ed said.

Al lowered his head and sighed. That made Roy sad. All of their hard work wasted. They both have sacrificed so much.

"Phone call for a Mr. Edward Elric," a lady said at the desk.

Ed stood and slowly walked over, "hello?"

He paused as he listened, his face scrunched up in concentration. That face turned to one of shock. Roy knew something happened.

"D-don't worry, we will..I'm so sorry Granny," he said.

"Yes. As soon as possible."

Another pause, "I promise."

He hung up and turned back. Years forming in his eyes. Roy jumped up and grabbed him by the shoulders, looking down at him.

"Ed..?"

"It's Winry, she's been kidnapped," he said dryly. All emotion gone.

Al gasped and Roy's eyes widened in shock. Things just kept getting worse and worse. What were they going to do.

"We will gather a team up at once and find her..Ed?" Roy asked.

Edward's eyes widened and for an instant Roy saw pure fear in them. Roy reached for him but e snapped out of it, his face back to normal.

Ed looked at him and sighed, "I need to go somewhere."

Roy was confused. "Okay I'm coming with y—"

"No..I-I need to do this by myself. Get a search team and start looking, I'll join you after I'm done," he said.

"But brother—"

"You go with the Colonel Al."

"Brother—"

"Please! Everyone just please!" Ed yelled calling attention from everyone.

Ed looked so sure, so strong. Roy sighed, "a-alright, come on Alphonse." He said.

Ed looked up, as if in shock, "thank you.."

Their eyes met for a moment, "please be careful Edo, I can't lose you too."

"..a-always coming back to you," ed said looking away.

"Goodby—" ed started.

"Don't say goodbye, this is not goodbye. This is see you later," Roy said.

Ed nodded, "see you soon."

As the blonde turned and walked away Roy heard three words ringing in his head and throughout the room, "I love you."

-later-

*ED POV*

Ed walked inside the small apartment. He shivered. This place..the one that haunted his nightmares.

He looked on the ground and saw the alchemically made bindings still there. His body felt weak and vulnerable. He didn't want to be there.

"Ah so you got my message?" A voice said in the darkness.

"Yes." Ed said his voice faltering.

Envy stepped out of the darkness holding Winry. She was tied up and gagged her body quivering in fear. He face red with abuse.

"I came so let her go," Ed said.

"Ah ah ah not so fast pipsqueak," he said.

He threw Winry down and pushed her to the corner. Her eyes were wide with fear, her cries only muffled by the gag. Ed went over to her but stopped when he heard the click of a gun being readied.

He turned around and saw Envy pointing a gun at him. The wicked smile on his face made Ed's insides churn.

"Get down on the ground pipsqueak."

Ed did as he was down and got down on his knees. Envy pressed the gun to the side of his head and smiled even wider.

"Now you will do exactly as I say unless you want pretty girl's brains all over those walls. I'll make you watch as I do it. Then.. Well I'll kill you. Do we understand?"

Ed gulped. He knew he had to be strong. He look back at Winry and took a deep breath. He knew what was going to happen and it was all going to happen in front of her.

"Yes." Ed said looking up at him.

-same time-

*ROY POV*

"Ready to go sir," the officer said.

"Yes the teams all ready?" Roy asked.

"Yes. Just say when."

Roy nodded and dismissed him. He was confused. Why had Ed left so suddenly? He had been gone for almost an hour. Hadn't he just been going to get something.

Roy walked back to where Ed had been standing. He looked out the big glass window and sighed. No sign anywhere. They had no leads. How would they find the girl? Maybe that's what Ed was trying to figure out.

Something caught his eye. It was an automail shop with the models inside the window. But on one of the a small bit of writing. His eyes couldn't make it out. He went outside and got a better glance.

"Come alone and now if you want her alive

You know the place.
-Marcoh."

Roy's eyes widened in fear. Had this been what changed Ed's actions so suddenly? How could he of read it so far away? Was it closer because..someone must of been holding it.

Ed had gone by himself to retrieve Winry and Roy had no idea where this 'place' was. Oh by gate. His love was in danger and he couldn't stop it.

Think think think.

"Colonel..?" Al asked coming behind him.

Roy turned and saw the younger brother of the man he loved. He felt a tear fall down his cheek. He had to try no matter what. They needed each other. Roy needed him.. He'd been through so much.

Roy took a deep breath and wiped away his tear, "come on we need to go get your brother."

'Hang in there my darling..'
