Hey guys! Sorry this is super late, I got caught up in exams but they went well so thank you to anyone who wished me luck on them anyway I present to you a new chapter! Please read and review, thanks

Jade's pov

Three men came into the room with guns in their hands and stern looks on their faces. The one in the middle was short and gruff looking. He had wiry black stubble on his chin and wore a stained white shirt. He looked like the typical thug that would kidnap girls like this. The others, however, were very different in appearance. There was a tall one with dark longish hair that looked a bit oily but well-kempt. He had tan skin and wore a grey suit about two sizes too big for him. The last one was short and fat with light brown hair styled in a not so great looking comb over. Not that comb overs were ever attractive…

"All of you get up!" the tall one said gesturing his gun at us. Everyone hastily stood up knowing full well what these scum bags were capable of. I, on the other hand, took my time in getting up and flipping my hair as I did so. If I was gonna die here, then I'd go out in style and if I got away everyone would remember me as such.

"American girls come with me, the rest will go with Lenny" announced the short fat comb over man. It seemed strange to me seeing how there were only three American girls in the whole group. The rest of them were Albanian or something, I had no clue.

Everyone split into sides my side obviously dwindling in numbers. The fat guy walked over to us, I think I'll call him assface, and gestured for us to follow him out of the room. The thought crossed my mind to reach into my boot and kill assface right now, but thought better of it. It had to be at the perfect moment, when our escape was inevitable.

He led us outside the building we had been held in and into a small abandon parking lot behind the run down structure. There was a dense forest surrounding the lot so it's not like anyone would see us marching out there with a gun to our backs.

Waiting for us in the lot was a plain white 18-wheeler. Amanda, Eve and I exchanged looks only Eve seeming to know what would happen. Suddenly a loud sound of rusty metal moving caught my attention. I turned towards the truck to see that the back had been opened and we were being ushered inside. Eve walked slowly towards the box with her head held high. I envied her bravery, but I'm sure it was her years of being in this "business" that made her that way.

Amanda and I were less inclined to walk in without trouble and as soon as assface and his two guards saw that they promptly hoisted us up on their shoulders and tossed us in. Amada kicked and screamed while I knew better to save my energy for when I would need it most.

He threw us both into the back and with two separate thuds, we slammed against the metal. I instantly realized we weren't alone in that truck but before I could get a better look at how many or even who for that matter, the door was shut and darkness engulfed me.

Beck's pov

I had to remind myself to at least attempt to follow the speed limit as I drove to the police station. I wondered what they had found, maybe they found her! My beautiful Jade safe and sound waiting for me at the station was all I wanted. That's a long shot though, even I know that, but I can dream.

I pulled my old, rusty, red pick-up into the police stations parking lot, parked and got out as fast as I could. I rushed into the front office, hurriedly stating my name and business before officer Anice, the head policeman on Jade's case, came out from his office and guided me inside.

"Hello Beck" he stated sternly as he gestured for me to sit next to the only other two people in the room. I soon recognized the other people as Jade's parents, they must be freaking out just as much as I was. "So, we've found some evidence that pertains to the case and we thought you three would like to know how the search is going"

I couldn't contain my curiosity any longer; I had to know what they had found and if they had found my Jade. "Do you know where she is?" I burst out, hoping for the best possible response. The officer looked at me with a sad expression painted on his face. His face looked old, he had dark hair that was turning gray at the roots and his skin was wrinkled and distressed. His job was tough and having to tell families that their loved one was still missing must be one of the worst parts of it. I regretted asking him such an impossible question.

"I'm sorry son, we haven't found Jade West yet, but I can assure you we will." he said with more confidence, his expression still sad but determined. "Now let's go over the evidence we have." he suggested as he pulled a manila folder from his desk drawer. "We found out the make and model of the car she was abducted in by the tires skid marks on the asphalt" he explained pulling out a picture of a sleek black Lincoln MKZ. "And from the blood sample on the leaf and the DNA on Jade's necklace we were able to find two separate matches." Mr. Anice said as he showed us the blood and DNA work.

"So do you know who took her?" Jade's father practically implored as he leaned even more forward in his chair. Jade's mother was a wreck as well. Her hair looked dry and un-brushed and her clothes hardly matched at all. It was obvious from her appearance that she couldn't focus on anything outside of this tragedy, which of course I could relate to.

"Yes actually, here's his picture" the officer informed us as he handed Mr. West the picture. We all gazed at what I thought would be some kind of grimy looking thug. I was taken aback when I saw that he was tall, tan and even a little bit handsome. He had dark, long hair and dark eyes, like me. "His name is Carlos Menatine and he's been on our wanted list for a while now" he said seeming slightly worried.

"Why is he on your wanted list? Has he kidnapped girls before?" asked Mrs. West, worry held in her brow. The policeman across from us pulled out a new file from his desk. He placed the folder on his desk with a frown and rummaged through it until he found the desired piece of paper.

"Unfortunately yes." Officer Anice began, "as you can see here in his paper work, Mr. Menatine is a well-known criminal here in L.A."

"What for?" I interjected immediately. Jade's parents had since put his picture down and picked up the papers in officer Anice's hands. I heard Mrs. West gasp and start to sob and clutch at her ex-husbands arm. I turned to look at them in shock and then back at the policeman for an explanation

"…I'm happy to inform you that Jade is definitely alive; however, she is in grave danger if she is with this man or any of his colleagues. You see, as I'm sure Mrs. West has discovered, Carlos Menatine runs a cartel of sorts, he specializes in…human trafficking" Mr. Anice finished looking down ever so slightly as if he didn't want to see our reactions.

"Like….like prostitutes?!" I exclaimed wanting to burst into tears at this new information. The officer gave me a single, grim nod.

I was frozen there in my seat for what felt like minutes. I heard Mr. West begin to cry as well and I felt the all too familiar sting of tears in my eyes. I saw Jade's necklace sitting on the officer's desk in a little plastic bag. I felt my body start to move, my knees creaked as I stood upright. I took a shaky step forward and snatched the bag containing the necklace off his desk.

The officer made a sound of disapproval almost as if to say 'you can't take that', but I couldn't care less what he thought. This very well be the last piece of Jade I have left and I'll be damned if I was going to let the police just have it. They had already gotten everything they could have off of it, so I figured it was mine now.

"I will find her" I whispered, my voice cracking as I clutched the bag tighter before turning and storming out.

Ok so I think I'm going to leave this chapter like this. Sorry this took soooo long I got caught up in other responsibilities. Anyway with any luck I will have a new chapter up sooner review please to make my day!
