-Chapter 11: Lost-

Drake Family murders hushed up.

Aurors stormed the Daily Prophet's headquarters in Diagon Alley earlier today demanding to speak to one of our writers Nickel Fame, who was working on an article of the Drake family killings. When he return he refused to speak of the incident or what he knew of the Drake killings saying, "I have sworn on my magic that I will not speak of these things for the protection of the wizarding community."

The aurors involved in his questioning and the Drake case refused to comment on the subject. Even the Minister of Magic was also tight lipped about this and only said, "It is for the greater good of the British Wizarding World that the tragedy of the Drake family is not brought before the public until further investigation is done."

The Drakes were a pureblooded family that is dated back to medieval times. The only known family members are Apollo Drake, his wife Lorelei Drake and their only child Helen. Any family secrets were zealously guard and no public records seem to exist. Though there were rumors that any such records were destroyed during the rise of the Dark Wizard Gellert Grindelwald.

Abraxas Malfoy a member of Wizengamot said, "I imagine that they have been trying to cover up some great shame of the family. For what other reason would you have to hide your pure ansastory." When he was asked a possible reason for this action.

Aurora Christopher Potter who comes from another prominent pure-blood family refused to say anything on the subject saying, 'I honestly don't think that it is either of ours business or anyone elses for that matter." We were unable to asked Prewett brothers who are directly involved in the case.

Dudley sat in the back of the class watching the willow on the grounds sway of its own accord. There was a cough which drew his attention to their Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.

"Mr. Drake, if you so kindly honor us with your presence. What are the most three distinct features of a Acromantula?"

"You mean other then its a whopping big spider." Dudley muttered under his breath as he quickly scanned a page of his book for the answer. Adrian snickered from his seat beside him. Even though he could be a pest at time, Dudley was glad it was him and not his Aunt. "One is thick black hair that covers its body. Another is the it's legspan can cover up to fifteen feet. And lastly its pincers which produce a distinct clicking sound when its excited or angry as well as poison."

"Very good, ten points to Hufflepuff." He said before strolling back to the front of the room. Dudley sighed and slumped forward on the desk. Learning about magical creatures only went so far when your teacher talk like he was reciting a monologue.

His gaze drifted to the the front of the class were his aunt sat with her friend Smith. In the middle of the row of seats were his uncle and Harry's godfather. Thier heads were close together a dead giveaway that they were scheming. His Uncle casted a glance over his shoulder and he looked startled to see Dudley watching them. The shock look quickly turned into a glare which Dudley arched his eyebrows at. His Uncle muttered something to Sirius and sent him a smirk. Dudley sighed and ran a hand through his hair knowing that whatever they had cooking up couldn't be good.

His attention drifted again to Lupin who was sitting in the set behind his Uncle. "I am honestly don't know what a werewolf is, after all I doubt the movies are correct. according to the magical world." Dudley frowned and flicked through his defense against the dark arts book to the back.

Werewolves XXXXX

Werewolves are found worldwide, though it is believed to have originated in northern Europe. Humans only turn into werewolves only when is no known cure for lycanthropy. Werewolves are dangerous throughout the year but most particularly on the full moon when they transform into murderous beasts. Almost uniquely among magical creatures, the werewolf actively seeks humans in preference to any other kind of prey.

Werewolves can be easily distinguished from regular wolves by their shorter snout, more human-like eyes and the tufted tail.

Like vampires, werewolves have be shifted between the beast and beings departments of the Ministry of Magic. Both departments are equally reluctant to take responsible of the population of these creatures.

Beside this description was picture of a wolf dripping with blood that looked like would rip out of the paper at any moment. He frowned at the picture and then glanced up at Lupin. "That didn't sound right.. Even though I trust Dumbledore as far as I can spit. I doubted he would have let Lupin in if he was dangerous when it wasn't the full moon. Besides Harry had never had said anything about him being like what the book said.."

Still frowning he slumped back in his chair wishing for the sound of the bell. Luckily he didn't have to wait long and was the first out the door.

"What's with you today, Drake?" Longbottom asked as he caught up. Dudley glanced out one of the windows as they passed to look across to the forbidden forest. "Did you know that Halloween is called Day of the Dead in Mexico and at this time they will remember their dead loved ones…"

"O.." Longbottom replied weakly.

There was a shout for them to wait as they headed down another castle corridor. Glancing behind him he saw Snape and his aunt running to catch up with them. Dudley stomach dropped at the sight. "His aunt was so full of life… Anyone would say she still had the whole world before her.. But he knew that wasn't true she would only have ten more years to live.." Even though he didn't know his aunt or how to react to her due to his mother's dislike. The thought that the vivid girl before him wouldn't be there when he got back to his time was sickening. He twirled on his heel and bolted.

Dudley leaned heavy against the sink as he splashed the cold running water into his face. Glancing up he caught his own eye causing him to freeze. His stark white hair and blue eyes were the only thing that he recognized from his adult self. The eleven year old before him was definitely thinner then he had ever been as a kid. "Damon Drake… who had he been? Was it possible that he was still alive?" Dudley frowned and leaned down to splash more cold water on his face. "If the kid was dead because no one found him its my fault…" He stomach started to tighten with guilt. He gripped the edge of the sink for support as he thought things over. "I need to find out if he is alive or not." Dudley didn't care if he was found out to be a imposter even if he got sent to prison for it. The thought that a kid was out there and died because no one look for him was bone chilling. And it would be far worse then him being stuck near those ...things.. Dudley shuddered and glanced down at his white knuckles. He needed to start looking as soon as possible but he couldn't just go ask the cops. Gideon said that there had been a fire which could have destroyed any bodies or any evidence that not everyone was died. Maybe there was a spell he could use or possibly a potion. Either way he needed to improve his spell casting. Which meant he needed someplace he could train where no one would interrupt him.

Harry had mentioned a room that the DA had used when they had met during school. He unfortunately didn't remember the detail… "Something abouts threes and a painting.. maybe" But then again the painting part wasn't very helpful at all since the whole castle was covered with them. He would just have to start look and hopefully remember something along the way.
