Chapter 13: Security

Phoebe's POV

I woke up to find all of my fellow Huntresses staring at me.

"What?" I asked.

"Is it true?" Chloe looked suspicious.

"Is what true?" I arched my eyebrow.

"Can you really date? And are you dating one of the Stolls?" Gabby questioned.

My eyes widened. "What?! How..." Then I had an idea. "How could you think that? Most of you from my time period know why I became a Huntress and why I would never love again. Where did you get the crazy idea that I was allowed to date a Stoll?"

"From Fiona." They all pointed at her in unison.

"But it's true! I heard Connor telling Annabeth and Percy yesterday while he held her hand!" Fiona insisted.

Everyone gasped. I didn't even notice that he was holding my hand yesterday.

"Polyxena, you were there when I joined the Hunters and you know my story. Would I date anyone after that?" I tried.

"Hell no." Polyxena agreed.

"Why, what's her story?" Fiona asked.

"Remember Ganymede? He was her boyfriend before Zeus got him." Gabby blurted.

I could kill her, but what good would that do?

"Ganymede... The GAY GUY?!" She laughed hysterically.

"I seem to remember that the reason why you became a Huntress is because the man you loved cheated on you. Apparently you've gotten over that since you've been dating Apollo. Apollo is one of the biggest manwhores on Olympus, second only to Zeus." I redirected the conversation.

"Shut up!" Fiona started yelling.

"Wasn't the man who cheated on you Theseus, son of Poseidon? He slept with Ariadne, Helen, Phaedre, you..." The list could've gone on and on.

"Please don't shoot me, but Chiron and Lady Artemis request your presence." Grover said, using the door as a shield.

"You know we don't shoot satyrs unless they do something bad, right?" I giggled.

"Of course." Grover turned red and left.

After we got dressed and left the cabin, we headed to the Big House. As soon as we entered the meeting room, we saw all the female counselors, Percy, Grover, and Connor and Travis. (And obviously Chiron, Artemis, and Dionysus.)

"Where are all the other counselors?" I asked.

"None of the men would dare to come except Percy and the Stolls. And I think Connor had to drag Travis here. Annabeth's taking notes for the other male counselors." Dionysus chuckled.

I smiled at Connor and he smiled back. After we all sat down (most of the Huntresses being on the floor), Chiron explained all the security measures.

"Do you seriously expect us to work with boys?!" Fiona protested.

"I do, if it means that we keep our allies safe. And they're more than just allies, they're our future, our last defense against Kronos." Artemis gave Fiona an icy stare.

For once, Fiona kept her stupid mouth shut. Then I noticed something.

"Where's Thalia?" I asked.

"She would only agree to guard her tree, so I explained the security measures to her, and I'm not sure where she went after that." Artemis looked worried.

"Her cabin." Annabeth piped up.

"She wasn't in the Artemis cabin." Fiona corrected.

"Annabeth meant the Zeus cabin." Percy explained.

"Why? What's she got left in there?" Fiona rudely questioned.

"A bed, pictures of her friends-including ones of Percy, me, and..." Annabeth trailed off. "I need to go outside. I'll be ready for our first watch."

She looked on the verge of tears as she left and Percy followed her with one last glare at Fiona.

"Are you done upsetting people and torturing them with your extreme forward nature?" Artemis looked angry.

I think I heard Fiona mutter, "Not quite yet."

Then Apollo suddenly appeared.

"Phoebe, Fiona, Artemis, you're all needed on Olympus." Apollo looked... nervous.

"Why?" Artemis questioned.

"Because Zeus said so." Apollo answered.

Thunder boomed outside.

"Fine, but I'm finding Thalia first, whether he likes it or not." Artemis reluctantly agreed.

So Artemis and I left the Big House to search for Thalia. We ended up splitting up to find her more quickly. I tried looking in the Zeus cabin and I found her, but it sounded like she was talking to herself.

"Why should I trust you?" She sniffled.

"Because I love you. I promise I really am Luke, I'm suppressing Kronos right now. It's hard to do it, but I'm trying." A voice said.

I saw that Thalia was using an Iris Message.

"I don't know if I can believe you." Thalia was crying her eyes out.

"Kronos can't completely invade my mind, he can't unlock all of my memories. He still doesn't know about the time we slept together. Look up possession in one of Chiron's books and see for yourself that I'm not lying. If you end up believing me, meet me tomorrow in Times Square." Luke offered.

Then the Iris Message ended.

"Thalia, Artemis wants you." I said.

She jumped, but she didn't get mad, just wiped her tears and followed me. About ten minutes later, we were teleported to Olympus. We walked the path to the throne room. While I was getting Thalia, Connor convinced Artemis to let him come. As soon as we entered the throne room, Zeus looked angry.

"We're trying to protect the Camp, so this had better be good." Artemis glowered.

All the other Olympians were in the throne room too.

"Phoebe, are you dating that Stoll boy?" Zeus pointed to Connor. "Because I'm fairly sure that that's against Artemis' rules."

Hermes looked at Connor and he had a sad look on his face. Connor stared back blankly.

"Who said I was dating anyone?" I defended nervously.

"Fiona. She's only here because she's your accuser." Zeus had a cold look in his eyes.

Aphrodite looked at Zeus with a horrified expression, then at Fiona with contempt.

"She is dating this boy." Artemis pointed at Connor. "But with my permission."

Fiona and a few if the Olympians got wide eyed.

"And why would you give her permission to date?" Zeus looked on the verge of yelling.

"Remember my other rule? If you kill Lycaon, you get whatever you wish for. Phoebe killed Lycaon, so she asked to be able to date Connor. That is one of three exceptions to my dating rule." Artemis was very calm.

"One of three?" Zeus questioned.

"Four, actually. Killing Lycaon is number one, me not catching someone like Fiona is two, three is if they witness someone kill the Nemean Lion and the hero specifies that they want the Huntress to stay a Huntress after they 'date' the Huntress, and four is because I like Thalia too much to let her go." Artemis smirked.

Fiona looked at Artemis in fear, Zeus raised his eyebrows in surprise, Aphrodite giggled, Hermes continued to stare at Connor, I was sweating nervously, and Thalia let out a small giggle.

"Who are you dating and since when?" Zeus looked at Thalia.

"That's for me to know, and you to never find out." Thalia started giggling hysterically.

"Who's Fiona sleeping with?" Piseidon chuckled.

"Apollo." Artemis glared at Apollo.

Apollo just pretended to be listening to music, but we could see the end of the cord sticking out and it wasn't plugged in. Athena bit her lip as if to hold back a laugh.

"Scandalous Huntresses." Hera barely contained her laughter.

Athena finally burst out laughing and fell on the floor.

"What's so funny?" Zeus glowered.

"This whole situation." Athena clarified.

"I'm going to take her into the hall until she calms down." Aphrodite pulled Athena into the hallway.

"This is ridiculous!" Zeus was angry.

"They're no different than you, except they've slept with less men and women." Artemis twitched a smile.

Connor grabbed my hand and held it.

"Aww, you're so cute!" Aphrodite poked her head in the door.

"Even Annabeth and Percy think this is a good idea, and they're both extremely intelligent." Thalia reasoned.

"Did you just call Percy smart?" Fiona snorted.

"He's smarter than you." Thalia looked like she was ready to kill.

Athena and Aphrodite went back to their thrones. Zeus snapped his fingers and Annabeth and Percy suddenly appeared. They were hugging and I think Annabeth was crying. Then they noticed where they were.

"I swear I didn't make her cry and I was only being a good friend." Percy looked directly at Athena.

Athena and Poseidon smirked. Annabeth wiped her tears and rolled her eyes.

"I don't think that's why we're here." Annabeth giggled.

"You knew these two were dating?" Zeus pointed at Connor and I.

"They just told us yesterday." Percy offered.

"And you think this is a good idea?" Zeus questioned.

"Who are we to say what a good idea is?" Percy chuckled.

"What he means is, we see nothing wrong with it. Even Zoë found two guys to trust before and after she died, and she hated men for most of her life." Annabeth elbowed Percy.

"I already know Percy is one, but who's the other?" Thalia asked.

"Nico." Annabeth shrugged.

Thalia giggled.

"Before you make your decision, let me put it this way Zeus, if you screw up Phoebe and Connor's relationship, I'll kill you. I ship them." Aphrodite threatened.

"What the Hell's a ship?" Zeus looked confused.

"She supports their relationship." Athena explained.

Everyone stared at Athena.

"As if the Goddess of Wisdom doesn't keep up with current terms, now quit staring at me." Athena looked annoyed.

Poseidon and Aphrodite smiled.

"But Annabeth and Percy are my OTP." Aphrodite giggled.

Annabeth and Percy turned red.

"What's an OTP?" Zeus furrowed his brow.

"One True Pair. Basically, they're her favorite couple." Artemis clarified.

Everyone stared again.

"Thalia tells me things about current terms." Artemis rolled her eyes.

"No I..." Thalia started before Artemis elbowed her. "I mean, yes I do."

"Forget it, you're all driving me nuts. Fiona, you're no longer a Huntress. Apollo, one week without sex. Phoebe and Connor are free to go. Annabeth and Percy, get a ride." Zeus declared.

"But you teleported us here!" Annabeth said.

"Boo hoo, I don't like you two." Zeus left the throne room.

"I'll call my mom." Percy sighed.

"NOOO! NO WOMEN?! IS HE NUTS?!" Apollo screamed.

Fiona ran to Apollo for help.

"Let's go back to Camp." Artemis said. "I'll take you too Annabeth and Percy."
