So… I don't have any good excuse for not posting this other than a major case of writer's block and well, life (aka: school, work, getting sick, more school, panic attacks, moving… all that good stuff).
I'm planning on trying to continue this as much as I can, so in reality, maybe once a week or every other week.
Maybe.
At least I'm trying now. But feel free to pitch ideas so I don't come across that writer's block again :D
Anyway, onto the chapter!
Chapter 6:
He had been everywhere looking for his target. As he walked by the fountain he admitted to himself that this avoidance game she was playing was getting a little old for him, but he was Vince Blake; he loved a challenge.
No one was helping him today. She hadn't been in class and no one seemed to know her whereabouts, but it seemed most people on campus knew she was trying to avoid him. He decided to change his target to the few people that would know where she was. After walking for a few more minutes he found them sitting at their usual table eating lunch.
They all stared at him as he approached, he even noticed Quinn roll her eyes. He tried hard with to prove he had changed and everyone accepted the new him… everyone except Michael, Logan, Quinn, Mark, Lisa, and of course, Lola.
Where was she anyway?
"Hey everyone," he said nodding at them. He noticed Logan was missing too.
Weird.
He cleared his throat and put his hands in his pockets. "So, do you know where I can find Lola? She wasn't in class earlier and no one else has seen her around."
"She wasn't in class because she's sick," Michael said.
"And she wanted us to tell you she doesn't want to be bothered and she still won't go out with you," Quinn said. "So don't waste your time."
Vince just looked at his crush's protective friends and sighed. "Fine. I won't bother her. Just tell her I hope she feels better."
xxXXxx xxXXxx xxXXxx
"Knock knock."
Lola lifted her pounding head from her pillow on the arm of the couch, turning her neck to the door revealing the face of the familiar voice.
"Hey Logan, come in."
Logan smiled pushing the door open with the tray he held and shutting it with his foot once he was in. "How you feeling?"
"Like I'm dying."
"You're so dramatic."
"I am an actress."
"Whatever." Logan put the tray down on the small table in front of the couch and sat in Lola's bright blue beanbag chair. He nodded to the bowl on the tray. "I brought you soup. I had Rose from the cafeteria make a batch."
Lola sat up wrapping her blanket around her shoulders and back. "What kind of soup?"
"Chicken noodle, duh."
She took the top off the bowl and let the steam fill her nose. She could feel her sinuses clearing up already. "Thanks Logan."
"Don't worry about it," Logan said as Lola ate a spoonful. "Being sick sucks."
Lola nodded. "Yeah it does. You should probably get out of here so you don't get sick."
"Please, I never get sick," Logan scoffed. "Besides, if I leave now you'll die of boredom instead of the cold. You need me here."
"Whatever you say, but don't come crying to me if you're the one who's sick next week."
"We'll see about that…"
Okay, I know it's not the best, but I forgot how I had actually planned this chapter and I CAN'T FIND THE PAPER WHERE I WROTE MY IDEAS FOR THIS STORY ON! :'(
I'm not upset about that or anything...
Yeah, so… review? They motivate me to write more! :D
And thanks to all who have read and reviewed this, and pushed for me to continue even though it's been a long time! I really, really, REALLY appreciate all you lovely peeps! :)
