Okay guys, I know it's been a while. I'm really, really, really, REALLY sorry for the wait! But a case of writer's block and a hell of a film production class will do that to ya. Thankfully, I'm on summer break now, so there's no school stress in my life until the very end of August. So, there is just this chapter and an epilogue left, then this baby will be done! Onward my friends!
Chapter 10:
Michael walked into his dorm room to find Logan still sitting on the couch he had been on earlier that morning, muttering at the video game he was playing on their newest game system. As Michael closed the door Logan threw the controller down and leaned back on the couch with a huff. Michael sighed and stood in front of his friend.
"Dude, when are you going to come out of this funk? It's been almost a month!"
Logan shifted, crossing his arms. "I'm not in a funk."
"Oh yeah? Then how come I heard that you turned down a date proposal from 'Make-Out' Mandy?"
"Because I don't wanna go out with her."
Michael scoffed. "Since when? You've always said she's hot and everyone knows she's one of the best kissers at PCA."
"So?"
"Dude, come on, just tell me what's going on." Michael sat in the desk chair. "You're kinda freaking me out."
Logan sighed, pushing himself further into the back of the couch. Weren't guys not supposed to talk about these things? Then again, he and Michael had staged an intervention for Chase when the whole Zoey/Gretchen thing happened. Logan uncrossed his arms and leaned forward, holding his head in his hands.
"I'minlovewithLola."
Michael looked at this friend confused, "What'd you say?" Logan said something that was even more muffled than the first and even added a cough in the mix. Michael shook his head. "Dude, I still didn't hear what you said."
"I said I'm in love with Lola!" Logan screamed standing up and looking right at his best friend for the first time since he entered the room.
Michael's mouth dropped as he watched Logan start to pace. Logan was in love with Lola? Since when? But it explained why his roommate had been acting weird the past few weeks.
Recovering from his shock, Michael stood up. "You're in love with Lola… are you sure?" Logan only nodded, still pacing the room. "Okay, uh, did you tell her?"
"Yes!"
"What'd she say?"
"Nothing! She didn't say anything!" Logan stopped pacing. "She just made up some excuse about having to get to class and then when I tried talking to her later she avoided me. I'm so stupid!"
"Well, she didn't say she doesn't like you," Michael said with a smile.
"She didn't have to," Logan said sitting down.
"Man, she was probably just shocked. I know I am."
"Yeah, so?"
Michael sat down on the empty single bed. "So, she probably doesn't know if she likes you or not. She's probably still processing that you're in love with her. Especially since you two were never dating or anything before you told her that."
Logan sat there for a minute processing Michael's last statement. He shrugged. "Okay, so what do I do then?"
"I think you need to talk to her."
"I already tried that."
"Yeah, but now she's had time to process everything," Michael said standing up. "Come on, I'll help you find her. I can't have a moody roommate for the rest of the semester."
To his surprise, Logan didn't argue and stood up to follow him out of their room. As they walked out of Maxwell Hall, Michael pulled out his cell phone and texted Quinn.

Over near the tennis courts, Quinn was standing beside the hammock the friends had deemed as their own, which was holding a facedown, miserable Lola. Quinn felt her phone go off in her pocked and looked at the text she had just received.
'Hey Q, any idea where Lola is?' –M
She looked down at her friend wondering why Michael was looking for Lola specifically, but shook it off before replying to her friend's previous statement.
"Well, it's not like you know either since you haven't talked to him." She typed her reply to Michael in record time and placed the phone back in her pocket.
'Yeah, she's with me. We're by the hammock.' –Q
Lola sighed, turning to look at her best friend. "Oh, come on Quinn, if you told someone you were in love with them and they blew you off, you'd hate that person too."
"You didn't blow Logan off," Quinn said ignoring the last part of her friend's statement. "You were shocked. You had every right to not respond because you didn't know what to say or how you feel about him."
"I should have said something other than, 'I have to get to class.'"
Quinn shrugged. "Well, I can't argue there."
Lola turned back onto her stomach, looking down at the grass once more. She really appreciated Quinn trying to cheer her up and get this mess sorted out, but at the same time, she just wanted to be alone right now. She knew she should've found a different spot to be alone than the hammock.
"So," Quinn said. Lola could hear the smile in her voice. "Logan's a good kisser, huh?"
Lola closed her eyes, remembering the feel of their lips touching. "Ohmygosh, you have no idea."
"Wow, that good?" Quinn laughed.
"Even if it was only to ward off Vince, it was the best kiss of my life," Lola said.
Quinn leaned against the tree. "Okay, so let me ask you this… when you kissed Logan did you feel anything? Any fireworks?"
Lola sighed, closing her eyes once more. "More like nuclear explosions."
"Lola, you need to talk to him."
"What's the point Quinn? Even if I go to him he's not going to listen to me long enough for me to tell him that I'm in love with him."
"… What?"
Lola's eyes widened at the realization of what she just said and without looking she knew Quinn's mouth had dropped open.
"You're in love with him?"
Lola tried to stammer out a reply when another voice interrupted her.
"You're in love with me?"
Both the girls' heads turned to see a stunned Logan and a smirking Michael a few feet away from them. Quinn turned back to Lola with the same shocked expression the Latina was wearing, both girls not knowing what to say.
"Well, I think we'll leave you two alone to, uh, talk," Michael said. He grabbed Quinn's arm and lead the stunned girl away from their friends.
Logan walked over to the hammock as Lola sat up, her feet on the ground and the hammock turned on its side so it looked more like a seat of some kind. He sat down next to her being careful to not lean back and cause them both to fall.
"You're in love with me?" he repeated, looking at her.
Lola's eyes met his and she nodded with a smile, seeing as she couldn't find her voice at the moment.
"Then, why didn't you say anything before?"
She sighed, looking down. "Because… I didn't know how I felt until I just said it out loud." She turned to him again. "By the way, how much of that conversation did you hear?"
Logan smiled. "Only what I needed to hear."
"Good." Lola looked down at her hands in her lap. "So, now what?"
Logan took the cue and turned his body to face her. "Well, we could make out." He smirked. "I hear my kisses are like nuclear explosions."
Rolling her eyes, Lola stood and pushed him back into the hammock before walking away.
Hehehe, you thought they'd kiss, huh? Sorry, I probably just broke your hearts at the end there, but come on... it's Logan and Lola! Even if they were dating they'd still be fighting! But don't fret! There's more to come! Well, an epilogue. But still, more to come! After this I'll be continuing my other Zoey 101 story series, Moments at PCA: A-Z Style, and possibly writing another Logan/Lola story. And if anyone has any story requests, feel free to message me! :)
