A/N: So here you are, another chapter. I realize that many things I introduced to this story are pretty unnecessary, but I call rookie mistake. Chapter 15 will most likely be the last, and there may be an epilogue, but that has yet to be decided. Disclaimer: As always I am not associated with anything Doctor Who, I just like writing about it.
Chapter 14
"I appreciate your help Wilf. I hate to drag you back into this, but you have experience with the Master and you know the part of town he's working in."
"Don't even worry about it, Doctor. One problem though. We don't know where he is." Wilf replied.
"Oh I know where he is. Gets more predictable every time I see him. He'll need a lot of power and he'll want somewhere he can stage his little play."
"You're not talking about that warehouse being renovated are you? I heard that place is on a pretty extensive electrical grid-"Mel cut in from the other side of the TARDIS console. Amy gave her a perplexed expression. "What? Just because I don't give a damn about my grade in world history doesn't mean I don't pay attention to current affairs." Mel crossed her arms and huffed.
"Yeah I know the place," Wilf said, "But what is self-absorbed and psychotic's plan?"
"That I do not know." The Doctor admitted.
"Shocker!" Mel spat out under her breath.
"Alright-"The Doctor addressed the group, "We are near the warehouse-"
"Do you have a plan this time?" Amy asked. "Oh of course not. How silly of me." She finished as the Doctor grinned sheepishly.
"Again with the brakes, Doctor," Mel stepped toward the console and fiddled with some levers, "You want us to be caught and killed before we save the world, am I right?"
"Still don't like you touching that-" The Doctor said. "But I guess we've landed." Mel exited the police box with an eye roll thrown his way.
"So, anyone want to peek in there and see what's up?" Mel jabbed her thumb at the building. "I thought not," Without waiting for any response, Mel strode up to the warehouse door and pushed it open. She disappeared inside.
"Does anyone else have a really bad feeling about this?" Rory asked, glancing briefly at the door Mel had gone through.
"Just give it a minute to pass. It's probably something you ate." The Doctor answered as he scanned the land around the building.
"I highly doubt that," Amy disagreed, also casting her eyes toward the door, just as Mel reappeared.
"Big machine type things. But for all we know, Timelord prima donna's just building himself some personal robot pedicurist and manicurist."
"Doctor-"Amy turned to the Timelord as he took his sonic screwdriver out.
"No plan, just wing it," he cut her off before she could ask again.
"This is going to end in rainbows and sunshine, I can tell these things." Mel sighed.
"As long as I don't nearly die again." Wilf said.
"Keep dreaming, I've managed to convince myself I am," Rory shakily inputted. Amy reached over and pinched him. "Ow! What was that for?!" Rory yelped.
"Wake up, stupid-face. It's go time." Amy admonished.
