Chapter 6-Twas the Night Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas; chaos reigned the house
Envy was screaming because Greed called him a louse
Gluttony had become drunk off the eggnog
Lust tried to make Sloth stop sleeping like a log
During the chaos Father began to see red
And yelled "So help me if you don't go to bed!"
So they went to bed fearing their father's wrath
Disobeying was always a frightening path
They slept for two hours then woke to a sound
They looked at each other: was trouble abound?
The sound was weird-it sounded like "Ho-Ho-Ho"
No family member made such sound no, no, no!
All the sinful children sprang into action
There'd be no mercy-not even a fraction!
Creeping downstairs they beheld such a strange sight
To some less brave it would give such a fright!
A white haired fat guy in bloody red suit
Standing in their house with a bag to boot!
"Is that where he keeps bodies?" Lust seemed to think.
"Let's give him Envy!" "No you dirty ratfink!"
Indignant Envy pushed Greed down the staircase
Looking up Greed saw the man had a kind face
"Hello young one, are you alright?" The old man said
Seeing the concern the man gave, Greed turned red
"Takes more to hurt me. Now who the heck are you?"
"I am St. Nick. I give toys to children-you too."
"Go to bed and I will give you toys galore!"
And so they did, dreaming of what was in store!
Sorry it was short, but I believe the original has twenty eight lines, so I had to keep it in those boundaries. I will continue with the current results though after Boxing Day! Merry Christmas/Happy Hanukkah and Happy Holidays (because I'm not cultured enough to know what the rest are)
