Author's Note: Guys I know it's been forever since I've updated and I'm so so soooo sorry about that! I'm hoping to maybe get at least a few more chapters within these next few days and hopefully (maybe) get a decent amount done before classes start again? I promise I'll try to be better about updating! I kind of just need to figure out where exactly this is going and how I'm going to get to the ending. We shall see! You will have an ending at some point! (And hopefully that point will be sooner rather than later)

If you'd like to I would greatly appreciate reviews, but please not ones telling me that this needs to be a certain-ship story or else you won't read it.

"Wendy!"

"Tink! I've been looking for you everywhere! What's going on? Is Peter okay?"

Wendy was panicking, and she wanted answers…fast. Tinkerbell didn't expect the last question, but she was fast enough on her feet to know that she needed to respond without hesitation.

"Don't worry Wendy, Peter's fine. Everyone's fine. But we need to get out of here if we wish to survive this." At that Tinkerbell motioned to the commotion surrounding them, in particular the fire that was devastating the once elegant trees to her right.

Wendy had been searching the forest around the cave that Tinkerbell liked to call her 'home', so she hadn't noticed the flames that were forming in the distance. When they were mentioned by the frantic faerie, Wendy was able to shift her gaze to where Tink motioned, suddenly feeling overwhelmed by the sight in front of her.

'What was going on? How did flames spread in the forest? I thought this was a safe-haven that never became dangerous.' Wendy had no idea what to think or what to feel. She had never felt unsafe in the forest before but there was an unease deep inside her that told her something was going on. Her panicked gaze gave the woman standing in front of her enough incentive to whisk Wendy into the forest, away from the flames.

Wendy had no idea what was happening, it was all a blur. She felt the tug of the companion she had recently come to be acquaintances with and she could feel her feet running; other than that she was clueless. She tried to speak but the wind from her lungs was out of her body so fast that she could only hope to use the remaining air to breathe.

It was good that the girl trusted the faerie so much because otherwise she was sure she would have tripped long ago. The brush was covered with fallen branches and rocks and Wendy was sure she almost fell a few times. However, Tink kept hold of the young girl, never allowing her to fall. Even though she no longer had much pixie dust she still was incredibly quick on her feet, always being able to beat any Lost Boy, except Felix, in a race.

In a few more minutes, which seemed as though they were mere seconds to Wendy, the duo found themselves at the beach. Or rather, they found themselves on a beach-shore on the far side of the island, since there were many different beaches located throughout the land. Wendy hadn't noticed just how out of breath she was until they stopped and it was all she could do to hold herself up. Tinkerbell helped ease her to the ground while distractedly looking around.

"Who…are…you…looking…for…?" The words gasped out of Wendy's mouth. She looked up at the one who had taken her to the edge of Neverland hoping for a quick answer rather than more questions. Her hopes had only so much strength before the faerie spoke.

"Someone who can hopefully help us and help me learn what's going on."

That answer didn't please Wendy but she was too out of breath to argue. She merely accepted the answer and continued to focus on her breathing. She needed to steady it and make it possible for her to at least have a decent conversation without needing to stop after every word.

Tinkerbell was still distractedly looking around the beach but it was as if she was waiting for something and didn't want the wrong people to come first. The sudden change in sounds startled Wendy as she was just focusing on her own breathing before.

"Ariel, I need to speak with you! Please, it's urgent!"
