Previously on Lizzy's Contract

"Sebastian Michaelis, the demon, and Ciel Phantomhive, the half-breed. The last two specimens. We had hoped to simply catch Ciel, but then you killed Seeing Red. Such a pain. But I am glad he's gone. He had no vision at all. But now we need one more specimen to open the gate. So if you don't mind coming with me."

"Bring it on Ciel." said morphing into Awamna. Ciel heard Lizzy collapse and assumed Sebastian had given her the powder to knock her unconscious. Ciel charged at the man punching at his head. The man jumped over Ciel, and grabbed Sebastian's fist. Twisting his arm, he threw Sebastian on top of Ciel.

"Did you think you would be able to beat Black Ice? I'm not a pushover like Seeing Red. Don't think you'll be able to defeat me. It will be your last mistake."

Chapter Seven

Ciel's POV

There was no denying it. This Black Ice guy was tough. He and Sebastian hadn't even been able to land a single blow. To their advantage however, he didn't attempt to fatally injure them, but he wasn't even slowing down, while he and Sebastian were already exhausted from the previous events. The demonic pair watched with baited breath as ice began forming at their foe's hands.

The ice extended past his arms slowly enveloping them and morphing into a blade one for each hand. "Come with me, and serve a glorious purpose, we shall reform the world by plunging it into the fiery forge. Redemption is at hand. The stage is set; all we need now are two more players in the remodeling of life itself."

"Stop blubbering on." Ciel yelled as he swung and missed once again. Black Ice pressed his hands against Ciel's exposed chest muttering a quick incantation "Arey, Amey, Ehey, Ahey. Freeze!"

Ciel saw ice slowly spreading from the area where Black ice had put his hand and noticing he was vulnerable, swung and (finally) made contact with the adversaries jaw. He was sent flying back, and Ciel thought it was over, but he just floated back into a standing position.

"You landed a blow." He said in a mixture of awe and disbelief. "I see how you were able kill Red. But unfortunately for you, one blow won't be enough, and the ice will finish spreading before you'll be able to kill me. You should just surrender." Black Ice floated half an inch of the ground and looked at the two expectantly.

Ciel looked back at Elizabeth, she was still vulnerable. It was his responsibility to protect her. He couldn't let her get hurt.

Sighing he put up his hands in surrender. "Alright, but you have to let us bring Elizabeth back home, you have to swear no harm will come to her."

Black Ice nodded slightly, but his face was still a mask, not even a faint trace of a smile. "You have to take the ice of too." Ciel said adding a stipulation.

The man looked impassively for a second, contemplating. "Alright Phantomhive, you drive a hard bargain. I will let you return her home, and the ice will stop progressing, but make one false move and it will instantly consume your entire body. And I will be watching."

Lizzy's POV

"Lizzy, wake up." Ciel.

Lizzy opened her eyes slowly and saw her finance hunched over her with concerned eyes. "Ciel, where am I?" she asked. The last thing she remember was that mysterious man appeared and then… "Why is it every time something important happened she lost consciousness? Could it really be that…? No." She shook her head. She refused to accept it. Ciel was her fiancé, not some evil creature.

"You're safe at home. Lizzy, I have to warn you. This may be goodbye. I was barely able to convince him to let me bring you here. Lizzy, since this might be the last time I'm going to see you… I want you to know…"

"No!"

"What… You didn't even hear what I had to say."

"I don't care you will come back." She chuckled. "What kind of a Phantomhive would you be if you left your fiancé when she needed you the most? You won't leave me alone, you just can't. You're my fiancé don't ever forget that." She said sitting up and grabbing Ciel's arm.

"Lizzy, if I don't leave you, then this guy is going to… kill not only me, but you as well. I can save you. We have no other choice."

"Ciel, you can't leave me. If you're gone, I just wouldn't be able to live without you."

"Don't talk like that. Don't kid yourself, I'm not the strong one. That title belongs to you. You held out for me after I died. I was a wreck after my parents died. I did something I earnestly regret."

"What are you talking about? Ciel please tell me. Don't you think I deserve to know?"

"Your right." He lifted his hand up and removed his eye-patch. Under the eye-patch was a purple eye, with a pink pentagram, and the other eye was a glowing iridescent pink.

"Ciel, what, what does that mean?"

"Settle down, this is a long story."

"So Sebastian is a demon, and thanks to Hanna, who is or rather was Alois' butler you are as well."

"Yes that's right. I unintentionally summoned Sebastian when that angel of massacre killed my parents."

"And do to an order you gave him, he must remain my butler until he eats my soul. However he can't eat my soul as my soul isn't entirely human anymore. I'm sorry.

"What for?" She asked Ciel.

''Your fiancé is a demon. I'm going to look like this forever. I can't imagine you wanting to marry me now. I wouldn't understand it if you…

Lizzy quickly brought her lips to Ciel's, effectively shutting him up. She pulled him closer to where he was essentially hovering over her. He pulled back at first, but then he sighed and kissed her back.

For a brief moment it was pure euphoria, but then Ciel pulled away. They both stared at each other for a brief moment.

Why didn't you tell me?" she asked her fiancé quietly, breaking the silence.

"Tell you I'm a demon, would you have believed me? And even if you did, I assumed you would hate me." He answered, lowering his head.

"You are Ciel Phantomhive, my finance. I could never feel anything for you other than love. Don't even begin to doubt that. I love you Ciel, don't ever doubt that, ever!"

"Lizzy, I have to go now." Ciel said letting go of her hand, his eyes longing.

"Alright, but you better not die. I don't care what you do, but you have to promise me you'll come back to me."

He nodded and took her hand once more. "Alright, so please don't follow me, if you got hurt I'd only blame myself. I promise I won't leave you, even if I die. I'll do everything I can to keep you smiling."

"Then all you have to do is smile." She replied.

"I'll try." He said forcing a smile.

"There, that's much cuter." The young lady nodded approvingly.

Ciel rose up and exited the room. Pulling the door close behind him he wiped away the tears he had hidden form Elizabeth. "I'm so sorry Lizzy. It appears I'll be breaking the promise as well as your heart. I honestly didn't want it to end this way."

"Is that the first time you've kissed her? You've been engaged for how long now? She would have been your wife one day. But you seemed so flushed at such a little show of affection." Black Ice asked, leaning against the wall a few feet away from the door to Elizabeth's room.

"Don't remind me. It's bad enough that I'll never see her again, but she'll live not knowing how I really felt, her last memory of me is discovering I'm a monster. But it has to be this way." The Phantomhive heir picked himself up from the base of the door and walked out of the house. He had been here many times so navigating it was second nature to him.

"Do you think what your doing will spare her any pain? She will find out of your death and mourn regardless of if she knew what your lips refuse to say."

"The curse of the Phantom." He answered in a hushed tone. They had reached the outside of the manor and began Ciel began following the Anmor as he called himself.

He turned around and looked at Ciel. "What. I've never heard of that before, do enlighten me."

"We are phantoms, we can't be happy. We cause pain and suffering wherever we go. My mother and father are dead. My fiancé will lose the only one she thought she loved, Madame Red is dead, as is her husband." He answered the Anmor "It's the curse of the phantoms to fade and leave unfinished all the things we wanted to do."

He chuckled sadly. "So this is how the Phantomhive's fade. We'll vanish from even the shadows themselves, no longer to stain the pages of history. So be it."

"Come Phantomhive, Sebastian is already at center. You and I will join him and the others and our glorious purpose will be fulfilled. It will truly be a glorious day indeed. You will see. And you will realize your sacrifice will be indeed worth it. Even your lady friend would be happy if she understood what a wondrous cause it is we strive for." The mysterious man informed Ciel as they exited the mansion.

"I don't know what this ultimate goal of yours is, but what you're doing to get there is making Lizzy cry. Whatever it is it can't be good."

"Your words of moral degrading mean nothing to me child. You cannot hope to understand the wonders we will bring about once again."

"The ice will completely envelop you soon. Don't you want me to remove it?" The Anmor asked.

"No need." the half demon replied shaking his head. "Without Elizabeth, my heart is already frozen over."

Lizzy's POV

Ciel… so many thoughts were running through her mind that she almost didn't notice the shadow crawling closer to her. Then there was a dark foreboding presence that she would've have had to be mentally blind to miss. She leapt up from the bed and grabbed the sword of the display. She held it to her chest in a protective stance glancing around for the intruder.

"Hold, where are you?" She thought for a moment and then added as an afterthought "Who or what are you?" She heard a low grunt and she spun 173 degrees and pointed her blade at the… what was that?

"Ah, don't hurt me." The creature raised his hands in mock surrender. He rubbed the back of his head. "Geez, I thought I was being sneaky too. Oh well. I suppose I should introduce myself. Hello!"

Was this guy for real? He looked like some kind of a demon. He had black fur and a scaly green tail and well as three red horns on his head. He only had two eyes, but they were both purple. Other than that he looked fairly human. "What are you, and what are you doing here?"

"I'm an Ingrot. The one and only. As for my name. Well, I don't really have a name so call me Ryuichi. Yah that sounds cool. Ryuichi Pasado. I'm here to protect you under order of the Shizuwaku. You're important to Ciel so in order to keep him in line I'm watching you. That's what Inconcessus said anyway."

"Isn't that the same as keeping me hostage? You do know that's wrong right? And who is this Inconcessus? Is he this Shizuwaku guy?" Lizzy asked question after question, but the Ingrot didn't seem to mind.

"Huh, I hadn't thought of that?" He scratched his head absent-mindedly. "Yah, Inconcessus is the Shizuwaku. He's trying to open the gate. Not that I know what that means, after he freed me from my confinement…"

The door creaked open and Edward stepped inside. "Lizzy are you alright. I heard… Ahh, what is that thing." He drew his sword but Ryuichi was on him like a flash. He knocked the sword out of Edward's hands effortlessly and threw him against the door, successfully closing it.

He drew his claws on the unconscious noble. Exhaling he shot a few sparks out of his mouth and his claws caught the flame. He held his smoking claws up to the noble's throat. "STOP! DON'T YOU DARE HURT MY BROTHER!"

With a sheepish grin and a confused twinkle in his eye Ryuichi turned back to Lizzy. "But he was interfering. I'm supposed to eliminate people like him."

"Do it and I swear I'll kill you." Her eyes bore straight into his as though melting his soul.

"Okay, just don't kill me." He retracted his claws and turned around and sat on the bedside. "You're unusual, you know that. Why don't you want someone who was interfering with the grand renewal to cease to exist?"

"Who told you that? That life was so easy to destroy? Life is precious, you can't just take it without thinking. It doesn't matter what it's for. It's the same way you're hurting my fiancé. "

"Why do you care so much about the Phantomhive boy?" The Ingrot asked legitimately confused.

"It's because I love him. Love is an emotion that makes you worry when the person you love is in danger or even upset. It makes you prefer that they are happy then you yourself feel." She answered him.

"Sounds complicated." Was all the half dragon half wolf could answer.

"Yes, but it makes me angry at you for making Ciel sad." She said.

"Alright. I don't really understand what is going on, but you seem to understand. Let's go get your fiancé."

Lizzy nodded her smile wide. "Thank you, Ryuichi."

Me: Finally, fluff. I thought that if Lizzy was going to find out Ciel should be the one to tell her
