Chapter 2. the chains of fate.

Tsubaki's pov

I walked into the classroom my face a mask of happiness.

"good morning!" i said happily.

the kids looked at me like i grew another head.

"what crawled up your asses and died!" i asked somewhat miffed.

just when i said that i felt a sharp pain in my back.

"move it tsubaki baka!" a female voice said cooly.

"damn it ketsunoana lana!" i yelled seeing my black haired friend feining anger.

"get up baka your blocking the door." lana said holding out her hand a smerk on her face.

"lana must you do that every time you see tsubaki chan?" a black haired boy said from the front.

"ita kun!" i said happily jumping up and hugging him. " hows my one and only brother?"

lana sighs.

"tsubaki... itachis my brother not yours baka." lana said pulling me away from her twin.

"but we're soul siblings!" i whined.

"no… just no Tsubaki…" Lana sighed looking at me in aspiration.

i pout crossing my arms like a child, which now that i think about it i sorta was. Lana and I took our seats in the back.

"so." i whispered to her. "what the hell are we suppose to do now?"

"i don't know." Lana whispered back. "i guess act like we did when we were this age until something pops up that we have to change."

"yeah i got it." I whispered. "but are we still gonna graduate early i can't stand being in the academy a second time."

Lana nods.

"we'll have more freedom to move about if we graduate early." she whispered.

"Lana!" Yuchiro called on her for the answer to a question sure she hadn't heard him ask it.

"huh?" she said looking up. "oh the answer to that is 3.2 seconds if your fast enough."

Yuchiro starred at her for a few seconds wondering how she had know the awnser.

"correct. Tsubaki, how long dose it take to infiltrate and assassinate a leader of a rouge organization wile also gathering intel on said organization?"

"well to do it thourlly id have to say from 5 months to a year depending on said organizations goals and how large it is." i answered.

Yuchiro balked his eyes wide at my logical answer.

'what the hell happened to them?' he thought. 'just yesterday they didn't know a damn thing about infiltration and interrogation.'

"can we go for the day sensei?" Lana asked. "we sorta know all of this already."

"well if you know so much you should just go ahead and take the test."

"alright." i answered for both of us.

Yuchiro handed us the test a smug grin on his face.

"done." we both said at the same time.

Yuchiro balked again.

"you can't be done yet."

"well we are." Lana said.

"care to check our papers?" i asked.

Yuchiro grumbled taking our papers before his eyes widened.

"everything's correct." he whispered.

i smiled.

"can we leave now?" i asked.

all Yuchiro could do was nod his head dumbly.

Lana and i smile before leaving the class.

"hey Tsubaki…" Lana started.

"yeah?" i asked.

"docent your mom and dad get killed today?" Lana asked. "shouldn't we stop that?"

"no." i said. "if we did i wouldn't have the freedom to move as i like wile you cannot."

"but"

"no Lana. they knew their fates long ago." I said sadness in my voice. "it is not my place to change it for them. we are here to stop the war, not to save my parents."

"okay…" Lana said as we made it to a training area.

"Lana we are gonna stop the assassination of your clan." I said. "thats one of the things that started this whole mess to begin with."

Lana smiled.

"right."

as we began to train we didn't notice how the sun slowly lowered and the moon replaced it, we stayed there until well after dark.
