I felt like writing so... here you go.

Magnus was nervous. It has been many years since he had felt true pure nerves.

He had a plan and if it ended well Alec and Magnus would be engaged.

It was all very simple. Alec would come home after he finished shadowhunting (whatever time that would be. Hopefully around 8ish)

Magnus would have dinner ready by then and during desert he would propose and Alec would say yes and all would be even.

Alec and Magnus have been dating for about two years with Alec moving into his apartment a year into the realtionship.

Alec was still on duty and still left Magnus every morning everyday and put himself in danger.

Now that Clary and Jace ran the Institute, they gave Alec less jobs to spend more time with Magnus, which Magnus very much appericate, but it was something Alec didn't know about.

As the time was ticking and Magnus wasn't a very good was the cook in the family.

He was making ( or trying to) Alec's favorite dish when Alec walked straight in and gave Magnus a kiss on the cheek and wrapped his arms around Magnus's waist.

"Hey, it smells really good in here." Alec said

"T-thanks. What are you doing home so early? I thought you were going to get home later?"

Alec laughs. "I got off early. Not to many demons to kill today. Why do you need me to leave because you have something important to do?"

Magnus starts to tell the truth. "Actually…"

Alec pales, then flushes. "Fine. I'll leave. Anything else you want from me Magnus?" He says then storms over the door.

Magnus runs after him. "Alec, can we please not fight today. Today of all days."

Alec tensed. "Is today special a day? Is that why you are kicking me out of the apartment?

Mannish sighed. Better now then later. "Yes today is special." Magnus drops to one knee and pulls the ring box out of his Alec sees the movement, his hands go to his mouth as he begins to silently cry. "Alexander today is special because today is the day that I propose to my one true love. Today is the day that I am asking you Alexander Gideon Lightwood to marry me Magnus Bane." As Magnus waited for Alec's answer, he looked into Alec's bright blue eyes shining with tears and memorized this moment with Alec's love for Magnus shining in his eyes.

"By the Angel! Yes! A thousand times over YES!" Alec said quickly before pulling Magnus up for a kiss as Magnus slide the ring onto Alec's finger.

"Is this why you asked me to leave? So you could prepare dinner and a proposal?" Alec asked

"Why else would I ask you to leave?" Magnus said

Alec shrugged.

"Magnus. We are going to get married."

"Yes, darling we are.

"We should tell everyone."

Magnus sighed,snapped his fingers and their coats appered to keep the cold away.

Magnus held his hand out to Alec who took it imediately.

"Let's go tell everyone that you and me are to be married." Magnus said

"Yes. Let's." Alec replied
