A few months had passed and the killings around the city became greater and greater as the number of people dwindled the city became almost a ghost town as many people fled away to prevent having the same fate.
Error.
Error.
Error...
It was getting worst, his systems were burning out causing Virus to turn into something he wasn't expecting. He was another glitch in the system and there was no changing that. Not seeing the anti-virus around in awhile he had only assumed that their last encounter had finished him off and that maybe the company had given up on destroying him. The red eyed man's eyes flew open.
Error!
It was all a dream again, the word error just kept flashing across his vision, it was all a dream. Rolling out of bed Virus took one step onto his hardwood floor, the apartment he lived in almost completely empty considering he never was in there for long and with less items there would be less to leave behind. Given the fact that he felt like there was no need for anything or anyone. His hands moving up to scratch around in his thick black hair, he slipped his vest over his arms almost as quickly as he got out of bed. Never understanding why he was always in a rush, or why he even stood outside, but something was pulling him back into the big city.
Making one last look around his room he walked out the door and into the less crowded streets of Ikebukuro. The town seemed so much smaller now that everyone had ran in fear except for the few brave citizens who thought it was all a hoax. The ones who just thought what they were being told was a horror story or some stupid gimmick to make people leave. Those were the brave, no, the stupid ones.
Those poor fools.
It was a peaceful walk until his sensors once again went off, causing an intense surge through his head, making the boy''s hand fly up to his forehead as the pain was like a cracking in his skull.
Warning!
The system''s shriek as Virus's eyes shot up, looking frantically around the area. "warning...?" That was a new sign, never once did his systems require to warn him of anything, that only happened when- He pushed his back against a cold brick wall, wind blowing quickly by as he searched for the nearby threat. When suddenly his targeting systems noticed an object on top of a two story building, the image was slightly hazey, slightly...green.
"It can't be..." He mumbled in disbelief, the object appeared to have a gun, a gun that seemingly was pointed straight at him.
Warning!
Yikes! Virus jumped to the side as he watched a bullet slightly grace past his face, stumbling to gain his ground again he shot his head around, BAM- another bullet flew by before he could react digging straight into his arm, a small yelp of pain later he turned his head quickly, raven hair hitting the side as his cheeks as he scanned the top of the roof. The object was gone only causing him to panic more as his sensors went off. The warning still blaring in his ears he backed into the wall once more. There was no way, he killed that man, he killed him. Gripping tightly onto his arm to prevent more loss of blood, he maneuvered away into an alley, walking briskly, he had to get away.
As soon as he thought it was just another malfunction he felt someone grab his left shoulder blade with an extremely intense grasp on him. His head shooting in the direction, and his gaze catching onto solid green orbs.
"No...you're dead." the virus said shakily, with no conscious effort to move, this was a ghost right? Before his thoughts could finish, virus's body was slammed quite harshly onto the ground nearly breaking his spine.
"Virus-138..." The machine spoke out, "By order of team 56B1, you are to be terminated and restricted immediately." his words were spoken in nothing but a solid monotone voice.
Virus shook his head, no, this was the same guy from that day. He never let an anti virus destroy him before and he wouldn't let that be today. Giving off his usual cocky smirk he rolled quickly, avoiding the bullets that shortly came after that would of destroyed him. Jumping up the raven giggled flicking his wrist in a mocking matter, "I see you weren't killed, what fun, I've been so bored without you here."
This, in turn angered the anti virus, making him send off another round of bullets at him. "You will be deactivated Virus!"
Virus wasn't sure why he was acting this way, he was terrified out of his mind, he never met an anti virus that was actually able to catch up to him; let alone survive his antics. "You have to catch me first~!" He laughed out mockingly, shooting himself up the walls and back onto the safety of the roof tops, shouting down at Psy, "And let's face it, you couldn't even catch a cold, old man~!"
The smug smile was wiped off his face as once again, Psy was out of sight disappearing just as fast as he appeared. "What?" No warning signs were able to predict fast enough for the next image that crossed across his vision.
The green prototype anti virus appeared like a glitch, his body wavering before materializing right in front of the virus, "Threat level. Moderate." The antivirus spoke out, once again in a monotone voice that could send chills though any normal human being, "Shut down procedure moderate." In a quick motion a leather glove hand shot out, grabbing Vi by the collar and holding him up in the air. Bright green eyes showed no emotion as he held the boy off the ground, feet dangling over the rooftop. Pixels formed around Psy's other hand, materializing a small black pistol, gripping at it calmly he pointed it at Vi's head. Body straightened out almost in a military like stance.
"Procedure B524, Virus-138, You've been contaminated. Ignored shut down procedure and repair. Analysis: Corrupted data." Eyes scanning over the other boy for the first time, picking up the data needed for the anti virus procedure. Clicking his gun to the loading function he finished the collaboration, eyes narrowing back at the young virus being dangled like a toy.
The look of panic shot through the boy's eyes, his chest becoming tight in fear as his hands had been flung up to cling onto Psy's hands trying desperately to make him let go. 'What was this...' feeling a bit of wetness on his face as tears streamed down his cheeks.
Error!
Error!
Error!
"Please no..." Virus slammed his eyes shut in a panic, not in a reaction to the gun but the error, the quick flashing of all the blood splattered walls and corpse that once laid before him. "Pl-please stop!" He shrieked out, kicking violently around. He wanted to run away quickly, he needed to get away before he lost it again.
Warning! Error!
Psy blinked, confused by this display, grip still strong on the other's clothing but his grip on the gun became less threatening. 'Please?' That was odd... A virus is a heartless corruption, never has he heard of one that plead like that. This hesitation only going to ruin the anti virus where he stood, unknowingly by either of course.
Warning!
The warning message getting louder, as the red flashed streamed across the viruses face, tear welling up down his face as he plead for it to stop. Without too much thought, Vi pulled out a small blade from his pocket, completely ignoring 'forgetting' about the deadly gun facing him. Threatening his existence. A stream of red electrical vibrations wrapping around the blade as he wiped it forward, so quickly it was like a glitch where it wasn't seen again until it already slice the blond android's across the face.
Dropping Vi to the ground, Psy stumbled backwards, hand quickly going to his face as he hissed out in pain. Eyes slammed shut as he was hunched over, legs bent oddly as he had to force himself to stay standing. His body almost seized, what was wrong. A quick scan confirmed that this was not a simple injury, but the blood on his hand from the cut wound only confirmed he was not fine by the red static that was intertwining around the glossy liquid.
Error messages flooded his vision as he fought his own head, his mission still needing to be complete as he looked to the ground where he dropped the other. "Vi-virus-138..." he stuttered, shakily making his way back to the frightened virus on the ground.
Destroy Virus-138. De-destroy. Virus. Corrupt. Data.
Systems screaming in his ear.
Psy-420. Proceed to shut down immediately.
"No I have him..." He grumbled to himself, he wasn't just going to give up the mission that quickly, he had the damn virus right there before him. Groveling on the ground. He couldn't allow him to escape.
The sentence repeating in his head to shut down being ignored as he picked his gun back off the ground. Vi leaned back, shaking as he crawled backwards, eyes shining a bright red as the words error and warning flashed across his vision over the green androids body that was stumbling towards him. The sight of the anti virus becoming more terrifying as the lifeless eyes became filled with danger, they began to turn as red as Vi's. What did he do? The gun in the green prototypes hand rising up, pointing the loaded weapon right back at the trembling red virus.
Psy's hand shook as his body started to seize.
Force Restart!
"No!" Psy shouted to himself, the cut mark across his face began to leak red static as his body tried to fight off the infection. His eyes clamped shut as he tried to shake out the noise, Vi took this moment of hesitation as a chance to fight and run, grabbing quickly for the knife that he had used previously off the ground he threw it in the anti viruses direction. 'Yes!' Virus wasn't going to sit there and watch, but the sound that escaped the blond's lips, he knew that he at least hit him. Taking off quickly across the gap in the buildings to the next roof. 'Not going to look back. Not going to look back.'
Damn it-
Turning around to see if he was being chased after, he was surprised at the sight of the anti virus, dropped to his knees on the ground.
Psy stared at the ground on the roof top, hand firmly on the hilt of the blade that manage to strike him directly in his chest. Vi's smile had widened, had he manged to kill the nuisance that taunted him? No- it can't be. There was something much more wrong.
Red streaks of electricity were shooting off the blade into the green prototypes chest, no more warning sounds were present. Psy's mind completely was wiped blank as his vision slipped to black. His head went down for a few seconds, before lifting it again, blond bangs covered his eyes as the search and found the sight of the virus on the other roof top.
A sadistic smile flashed across his lips, yanking the blade from his chest, and the red streaks of electricity began to turn blue. Psy began to laugh out to himself, a maniacal cackle as he pointed the knife in the direction of the virus.
"Come out and play Vi-kun~" His laughter becoming more high pitched, "Let me corrupt you further heh~?!"
