I own nothing, but thank you so much for your patience. It has been too long since this story was updated and for that I am truly sorry.

Chapter 5

When Piper and Leo exited his office, they found Paige waiting for them. The first thought Leo had was that she looked so sad, so scared. She looked like a scared little puppy the skin around her eyes all puffy red, a sharp contrast to the pale color of the rest of her face. Her hands were shaking like a leaf the tears still coming rapidly out of her, but when she saw them despite that she smiled. She didn't know what she would do if she didn't have them. But even as that thought roamed her mind Paige didn't feel at ease. The situation she was in was her own doing and now she found herself so afraid. Afraid in a way she had never been even when facing demons because now she was facing the reality where she might lose everything.

"Paige…Piper told me everything. I'm so sorry, we're going to fix this, I promise," exclaimed Leo moving to take her hand. Using that hand, Leo helped her stand, and suddenly all he could do then was hold her. The second she stood Paige burst into tears and as Leo hugged her she felt Piper do the same her sisterly arms encircling them both.

"I'm so scared," whispered Paige clutching at them both.

When Paige had imagined her life years ago this was not her vision. She never thought she would be married and at the same time having an affair with one of her charges. She never thought she would find herself pregnant and at risk of losing both her husband and lover. But here she was. This was her life, it was all happening that way and Paige knew only one way to respond. She cried.

"We're going to go see a friend of Leo's who's a doctor. He said he would check you out to give us the final prognosis," said Piper finally taking her sister's face in her hands. She wiped the wetness away with her thumbs before wrapping a protective arm around her feeling as she leaned heavy against her side. Once again, she was left to be the stronger older sister.

"Let's go," whispered Paige reaching for Leo's hand waiting for one of them to direct her. She couldn't wait to orb there and get this terror over with. She just wanted to know for sure if this was all happening and if it was then maybe she could think straight. Then maybe she could decide fully what to do.

"Orb us downtown from there we can walk. I don't think you should be orbing that much, not in the emotional state you're in," whispered Leo giving her a tender smile feeling as she started to orb them there immediately. They appeared in an alley where no one could see them. They moved with quick yet hesitant steps with Leo leading the way Piper's hand in his. Piper, all the while, still had Paige practically wrapped around her as she led her right along with them. And then they were there in front of a serious looking building that Leo walked right into.

As they crossed the threshold Paige couldn't help, but feel like she was walking into a horde of demons. All remained silent until suddenly Paige found herself shaking hands with a man in a white doctor's coat. Paige tried to focus on what he was telling her, but she could barely focus on standing. She just wanted to fall to the floor and curl into a ball. Piper stand right next to her was the only real thing she registered.

"I'm sorry, but could you repeat all that? I'm a little…off today or nervous I guess," said Paige her voice shaky. It went right along with everything else she was feeling. Her body was shaking, her hands, she thought maybe she could even feel the blood in her veins shaking, so why not her voice too. The man was kind about everything thankfully. He simply gave her a smile and a nod before motioning for the three of them to follow him. He led them directly to his office, a place that was surprisingly homey the paint not the usual white of a doctor's office, but a warm dark blue.

"Have a seat, my dear," whispered the doctor making sure was comfortable before doing the same behind his massive desk after doing the same with Piper and Leo.

"Ms. Matthews, I'm here to help you, Leo explained your situation to me on the phone, and I will be discreet you have my word. My name is Henry Atkins, my late wife Marian was a witch like you," explained the doctor smiling at Leo in that moment.

"Marian was my charge a long time ago…before Piper and I got together. She died not long before Piper and I met actually…a hex," whispered Leo sharing a look with the doctor. It was clear that the loss of this particular charge still bothered him, for white lighters cared for each one of their charges, and to lose one was horrible. It was like losing a child. The room went silent then until clearing his throat the doctor focused completely on Paige.

"If it's alright with you, my dear, I'm going to examine you to confirm if you are in fact pregnant…I'll take you to the exam room," said the doctor rising from the desk going to a door to Paige's right.

"Piper," whispered Paige in that moment her breathing becoming heavy as she processed what was about to happen, what she was about to find out.

Piper quickly jumped to her feet kneeling at her sister's side to try to calm her. But nothing seemed to sooth her as especially when the doctor opened the door a loud creak emanating from it. It was then that Paige practically jumped into her arms her sobs loud.

"Could I go with her?" exclaimed Piper looking at the doctor for only a second. He nodded wordlessly holding the door open as Piper helped her sister inside. This room was not like the doctor's office at all. It was exactly how a doctor's exam room was supposed to be. It was cold, completely white, and scary as hell. That was her thought as Piper helped her strip to nothing replacing her clothes with a paper gown that made her even more scared.

"It's all going to be alright. Leo speaks very highly of this guy, Paige, and I'm right here just remember that," said Piper pulling a chair next to her exam table. Paige could only nod only smiling when Piper took her hand giving it a tight squeeze. It helped reassure her. And then the doctor entered the room.

"Oh god, oh god, oh god, oh god," chanted Paige under her breath as the exam took place doing everything she was told as quickly as possible so she could get this over with. It wouldn't go by fast enough though. He was very thorough, his gloved hands touching her, his endless questions making her speak when she would have just preferred to stay quiet. It all had her heart pounding and she silently thought that if Piper hadn't been there it might have been so, so much worse. She focused on the egg shell white of the ceiling, on the way the paneling seemed inlaid into the ceiling, and how the tiny black dots seemed made by hand. It all helped distract her in between the constant questions. It all made her somewhat calm though part of her didn't understand how. She just kept hoping he would finally say it was over.

"He's done, Paige, you can get dressed. It's over and now we just have to wait," said Piper giving her hand a squeeze to emphasis her words neither of them looking at the doctor as he left the room. Paige breathed the loudest sigh of her life in that moment as she sat up with the help of her sister. She took her close from Piper just as quick neither of them saying anything as she dressed. She could feel her heart pounding this time because now only one thing was left. It was time to find out the results, to find out if she was pregnant or not, and the idea of that didn't chase away her fear. It made it stronger.

"Come on, they're waiting on us," whispered Piper moving to help her down, but the look in Paige's eyes stopped her.

"I'm so scared, Piper…I mean…do you think…Phoebe…Billy…all of them," exclaimed Paige her words so jumbled Piper could barely make them out.

"Yeah, what is it sweetie?" said Piper her shoulders slumping just slightly.

"What do you think is going to happen…if I am pregnant. Do you think Phoebe will forgive me or hate me? I know if I am I'm going to lose Billy and probably Henry…I don't want to lose my sister too," exclaimed Paige her whole body shaking once more. Piper instantly pulled her into a bone crushing hug. She could understand why she would think that after how Phoebe had acted, but she couldn't see Phoebe abandoning her. No matter what happened, Paige was their sister, and after losing Prue that mattered more than anything else.

"Phoebe will come around. You know how she is sometimes…just remember that no matter what she loves you. We're sisters we don't leave each other no matter what the reason. We're bound together forever," whispered Piper pulling back to look at her. Removing the tears from her face, Piper watched as she slowly began to calm down, and only then did she finally leave the table. Still standing on shaky legs, Paige looked at her one last time before tentatively nodding her head.

"Let's get this over with then we can figure it out from there," said Piper lacing their fingers together tugging her along to leave the room where Leo and the doctor waited. When everyone was seated again, the doctor cleared his throat, and suddenly Paige had a bad feeling.
