After that day, Tsuna had started visiting them regularly. He often came bearing gifts that delighted the young brunette and made Haru happy as well. Seeing her son's cheerful smiles made her decision to give him another chance absolutely worth it. And Tsuna could feel that she was accepting him, if not fully, but gradually back into their lives.

On the other hand, Gokudera had mostly been at work to ascertain that things were going well within the famiglia, a job that was Tsuna's responsibility, while his boss was fulfilling the emotional gap from him and his family that was made from being away for so many years. Tsuna assured his right-hand man that there was no need to do such thing but the silver haired man felt as if it was obligatory for him to do in order to replace his wrong doings with his boss.

Haru felt that Gokudera's actions were slowly distancing himself from Sora and her, adding the fact that he would often stay the night in Vongola's base. She had considered that he was dissociating himself on purpose for the reason that his boss has had an affiliation with her in the past, and perhaps didn't want Tsuna to get any wrong idea with him being too close to Haru.

"You're going already?" Haru utters once she'd entered their bedroom and sees him buttoning up his shirt as he stared at his reflection in the mirror.

"The earlier the better," Gokudera states. "Now that Juddaime's here, as his right-hand man I should always be around to protect him,"

Gokudera groans as he exasperatingly fumbles with his tie. Haru lets out a short laugh made her way in front of him to help. "Won't you at least join us for breakfast?" she asks.

"I can't," Gokudera replies shortly, not bothering to look at her as she fixed his tie. "Besides surely they've prepared breakfast back at the mansion. I'll just eat when I get there"

As she finished she stared up to him for a moment, trying to get him to look back at her but he wouldn't. She stood on her toes and leaned to kiss him on the cheek but he quickly evaded her.

"You don't have to do that, Sora's not here" he says, picking up the suitcase on the bed.

"Sorry, I just got used to it" She mutters.

"Well then, I guess you should stop"

Haru frowns and stared at him inquisitively, yet he only ignored the look she sent him.

"I have to go," he quickly says and exits the room. Leaving a confused Haru behind.

Gokudera entered his black sports car and threw his suitcase on the passenger's seat. He lowered his window and propped his elbow as he rested his head on his palm. He drove listlessly to Namimori.

His mood had regularly been bitter or lifeless and he'd blame the exhaustion from non-stop training at the Vongola base. He'd wanted to get stronger, if that was even possible.

Gokudera was expecting that soon enough Tsuna would take Haru and their son into his care, and the whole world would know of the Vongola boss' only heir. Surely the other famiglia who had refused to side with them would use either Haru or Sora as bait to get to Tsuna in order to destroy Vongola. It wasn't as if he was doubting his boss' power but he wasn't going to take any chance and let that happen.

As he got into the mansion he walked into Ryohei who was wearing his white and red sweatshirt with black shorts.

"Oi Gokudera! Glad to see you here so early!" He shouted with his usual raspy voice.

"Is the boss awake?" Gokudera asks.

"Yeah, he's by the garden eating breakfast, you should join him too," he pats Gokudera at the back. "I'll see you later! I'm going to do some morning exercise to the extreme!" He said with burning passion and waved the silver haired man goodbye.

Gokudera headed outside and saw Tsuna sitting by the glass table in the garden. The brunette stared down at the stem of rose in his hand, rolling it ever so lightly between his thumb and index finger.

Gokudera approached him. "Good morning Juddaime," he says.

"Ah! Good morning Gokudera-kun" Tsuna cheerfully with a smile. "You're just in time for breakfast"

Gokudera sat at the seat next to his boss and stared at the different delicacies in front of them. "Isn't this a bit too much for breakfast?" He commented.

"I know; I keep on reminding Mercutio that he doesn't really need to bother making all these dishes. A simple omelet and rice would be fine" Tsuna utters.

Gokudera began eating. With each savory bite, the taste gradually lifted up his mood and soon he found himself feeling quite pleasant.

Well that's what you get for having a cook as a fiancé. He thought. I wonder when will aneki learn from Mercutio's methods and give up her poison cooking.

"Do you think Haru would love it if I sent her flowers?" Tsuna spoke. He placed the rose back on its vase that was placed at the center of the table.

"I guess so. Don't all girls love flowers?"

"A bouquet of Daffodils then?"

Gokudera arched a brow. "Daffodils? Why not red roses instead?"

"There's a certain meaning to it, or so I've heard." Tsuna smiles. "By the way, I don't know if I ever thanked you for helping me get closer to my son and Haru" he adds.

"O-oh it's nothing juddaime!" Gokudera says with a sheepish smile, feeling overwhelmed by his boss' appreciation. Slowly, his smiled faltered and he let out a heavy sigh. "I mean, It's the least I can do since… well… you know…" he trails off.

"But really, thank you Gokudera-kun"

Gokudera nodded once in response. He watched as his boss resume in eating, when a recollection had befallen on him. He could see what was to come. Even though Haru had gone through so much, and often assert her animosity towards her son's father, Gokudera knows that deep inside she still has the same feelings she had for Tsuna back when they were still young adolescents.

He was there to witness everyday as Haru professed her love for towards Tsuna. Silently judging her for her bold acts that were merely being ignored, for Tsuna had his heart set out on the golden-haired girl. He'd seen her pour her heart out for the young Vongola boss.

It was quite impossible to believe that she had finally given up on that love.

And if Tsuna finally wins her heart again?

"I've been thinking about it lately. When the right time comes, I will ask them to live here in the mansion, with us" he boss declared.

There was his answer.

Yet in his mind, he corrected his boss' statement. There was no 'us'. Living in the mansion permanently had never crossed Gokudera's mind. He has probably stay overnight if his work required it, but he wasn't planning on considering staying for good any time soon. Especially not now that there was a possibility that Haru and Sora would be living in the mansion too.

If he continues to stay with them, he'd only be taking Sora's attention away from Tsuna and Gokudera didn't want to get in his boss' way of rekindling with his family. Sooner or later, he supposes, that they will disclose to the child the whole truth.

If Haru ever agrees to live in the mansion, he'd probably sell the house in Kusakabe; A house that he bought for haru after he found out that she got kicked out by her own relatives.

Gokudera knew what that felt like, to feel unwanted by your own relative. He lived in that kind of state throughout his childhood. Which is why he preferred to be alone than to be around people who made him feel alone and he did everything he could to make sure that she wouldn't go through the same experience.

Haru was the most cheerful girl he'd ever met and he didn't want that cheerfulness to fade away, which is why he'd given her a home. Some place where she could belong.

But he was wrong. Haru didn't belong to that house, nor did she belong to Gokudera.

She belonged to the brunette sitting beside him.

Haru belonged to Tsuna.

"Gokudera-kun?" Tsuna calls out, distracting his storm guardian from his thoughts.

"Ah-we're you saying something juddaime?"

"I asked if you could join the meeting with the Neviole family, they'll be here to discuss the new weapons they we're creating,"

"Of course,"

"Sometimes, Accortio-san still intimidates me" Tsuna admitted half-jokingly with a laugh.

"Why are we still associating ourselves with that famiglia?"

"They've proven their worth and is a great dealer of weapons too"

"But isn't Giannini, Spanner and Shoichi enough?"

"I'm afraid that we need Neviole as much as they need us. But don't worry, one mistake and we'll be sending them to where they belong. They should learn best not to mess with the Vongola" Tsuna affirmed to his storm guardian.

Gokudera grinned at his boss' remark, liking the audaciousness in his tone.

Years of tough training with reborn would do that to you. Gokudera thought.

After the Neviole family had arrived. The meeting immediately begun. Accortio sat on one of the far ends of the long table, wearing a black pin-striped suit and his grey hair sleekly pulled back. He leans back on the black leather chair and propped his elbow on the armrest. He fiddled with a cigar in his hand as the as the discussion went through not taking his daunting look off of the Vongola boss who sat on the opposite end.

Tsuna merely ignored the threatening look Accortio gave him absorbed every information about the weapon that was being proposed to them. Gokudera on the other hand, did not bother hiding his dislike and scowled at every person in the room with the exception of his boss.

I wonder how long we still have to pretend to like this family, He thought in grimace.

Not long enough Tsuna began to speak.

"I'm sorry but I believe this is too much,"

Accortio cocked an eyebrow and removed the cigar from his lips; a derisive smile forming on the corner of his lips.

"You will not have Vongola's support regarding this matter, it's just... Too much" Tsuna voiced out.

The Neviole boss sneered. "Too much for the likes of you eh?"

"You bastard!" Gokudera quickly stood up and prepared to strike but Tsuna held his hand up and signaled him to settle down. The silver haired man scowled at the opposing famiglia.

"The weapon you're creating," Tsuna began, "As much as it will do us great in the battlefield, it will also affect the innocent ones that might be included in combat. I assume that I've stated beforehand that as much as possible I'd want to lessen the involvement of innocent people,"

"After all the battles you've been through I thought you've finally gotten over that foolish resolve," Accortio shook his head.

"Sorry to have proven you wrong. But like I said, the Vongola will not invest in such weapon. You may take your leave now," Tsuna said calmly.

Accortio sneered. "It doesn't matter, I'm sure there are other families that would gladly invest in this weapon. Perhaps then someone would be able to stand up against the great Vongola Famiglia" he provoked.

"I do hope that you're not considering on opposing us because I'll have you know that we do not give mercy to those who betray us," Tsuna stated intently glaring at the Neviole boss.

"Oh? But I thought you Vongola's don't kill your associates" Accortio mocked.

"As much as possible we don't, but we can make an exception if needed" Gokudera said threateningly.

Accortio laughed mockingly at the bomber man's remark and placed his cigar between his lips.

"That's enough," Tsuna says, stopping the increasing tension in the room. A knock on the door caught everyone's attention. A subordinate of Tsuna came inside informing him of the arrival of a certain young brunette.

"She says her name is Miura Haru, and is an acquaintance of both you and Gokudera-san."

"Haru?"

"What is that woman doing here?" Gokudera abruptly stood up from his seat.

Accortio gave both men a puzzled glance, seemingly curious at their odd reactions.

"Take her to my office," Tsuna says and dismissed his subordinate. He turned to Accortio.

"Accortio, we still are expecting the finest weapons from you, but I'd have to decline today's proposal, though I hope that this particular meeting doesn't stain the relationship you have with Vongola"

"It doesn't" Accortio puffs a smoke from his cigar, "not quite" He glances down at the glaring silver haired man. "Nevertheless, Good day" he says before finally taking his leave.

"Gokudera-kun, can you make sure that they don't cause any ruckus on their way out?" Tsuna whispered to his guardian. "You know how mischievous his storm guardian can get sometimes. Haru's in here and I assume so is my son, I don't want them causing any trouble and end up hurting my son nor Haru." he adds.

"I will,"

After the famiglia was out of sight, Tsuna rushed into his office, stopping just before his door to fix his appearance. He took a deep breath before twisting the knob.

Inside, he found Haru and his child glancing around the room in awe. When his eyes caught Haru's she immediately stood and up to greet him.

"Sorry to be a bother but I just wanted to drop by and give these." She handed him two packed lunches both wrapped carefully in red cloths. "Gokudera didn't eat breakfast this morning and I'm a bit worried that he might be skipping meals here, so I made some bento. I didn't have much time so I could only make these and I know that I'm no expert in cooking and you probably have chefs here that cooks a thousand times better than me, but I really did my best."

Tsuna took the packed lunches from her hand and placed it atop of his desk. "Thank you, Haru. He usually eats with me so I can assure you that Gokudera never skips a meal." He says with a short chuckle. He glanced at the packed lunches. "It's been a while since I've tasted your cooking, I sure missed it a lot. I'm pretty sure that whatever you made would be delicious."

Haru quickly raised her hand to cover her mouth as she almost squeaked a 'Hahi'. She felt her cheeks start to heat up and her heart pacing inside her chest and all at once images of her their past relationship flashed inside her mind. She tries to look away. "Please, stop saying such embarrassing things,"

"What? It's true. Remember when you baked cakes for me—"

"Mama," The two adults looked down on the child that was tugging on the hem of Haru's shirt. "Where's Papa?"

I'm right here. Tsuna wanted to shout, but of course he didn't. He couldn't. He felt his heart shatter into pieces at the reality that he wasn't the one his son was looking for. Still he tried to put on a smile.

"He just took care of something, but he'll be back right away. You two should join us for lunch," He offers, but Haru shook her head.

"Thank you, but perhaps some other time. There's still some things I need to do back at the house. We should be going know,"

"Won't you be waiting for Gokudera?"

"I know he's busy and I wouldn't want to bother him," She said and begins to gather her things but before she could even bid him goodbye, Tsuna spoke.

"Haru…" He trails off. "Do you want to go the amusement park?"
