Finding Ways

Chapter 1

Resa Gets Her Voice Back!

"Mo, there HAS to be some way to get Mom's voice back?" Meggie cried.

"There is a way. It may be dangerous, and it can only be done in time, and serious concentration. We may be able to write a book. A book where Resa gets her voice back. I'm no writer so you'll have to do it. I can read it aloud, and see what happens," Mo answered her question. Resa began scribbling on her paper pad.

Oh, please Meggie, would you? Please?

"Of course, Mom!" So she began writing. She decided it to be a short story. Starting was hard for her, she began with,

There once was a pretty lady named Resa. She lived on the outskirts of London. She didn't have her voice. So this one day, the magic forces gave her voice back. Then she talked, laughed, cried, and enjoyed herself. And last but not least, she took her family to

Paris and lived happily ever after.

It took her about four hours to come up with this.

"Mo! I did it! You can read it now!" She called. He bounded down the stairs. He began to read.

"There once was a pretty lady named Resa. She lived on the outskirts of London. She didn't have her voice. So this one day, the magic forces gave her voice back. Then she talked, laughed, cried, and enjoyed herself. And last but not least, she took her family to

Paris," He read in that beautiful voice of his. The floor started rumbling, and Meggie heard someone say,

"Ha ha! It worked, Mo it worked!," She turned around, and her mother said

"Meggie, look! I have my voice again! Who wants to go to Paris?"
